[It's tough to live on an island that doesn't have many resources outside of the limited food sources and running streams. While Brie is aware of some other minor sources of food, like fish and frogs, one person exploring an island on their own means there are a lot of secret spots left to uncover. Despite adventuring for three years, her time on the hub itself has been much shorter, only staying for days or weeks at a time. Now that there are more people on this journey, covering ground is a lot easier.
Recently she's discovered another large estate -- much larger than her current shared mansion, which might also mean it has some supplies inside. On the morning of Day #, she's called together those who are hankering for more supplies in order to bring as much back as possible. Congrats, you get first dibs.
A. Upon approaching the house, the first thing that's noticeable is its size. It's all one story, but very flat and spacious. There are gardens in both the front and the rear, and upon entering (Brie might have enlisted you to help break the door down, oops) the inside is also quite vast. There are tons of rooms, multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, two kitchens and other rooms that aren't even explorable because they need keys to be entered. Unless you can find these keys, that is?
B. Alternatively, or maybe even aside from exploring the house, Brie's also suggested that you do some exploring on your own. Again, she's one woman with limited time to scout the island herself. What can you find? What resources are there to be harvested? Will you share in this bounty, or keep it to yourself?]

[Locks have always been more of an invitation to Jay than anything else; he makes a thorough search of the open rooms, but you're more likely to find him at the locked doors, with his ear against the door as he twists the knob, or carefully trying to force it open.]
If only I had a set of lockpicks on me . . . .
A2.
[Or perhaps you've come upon him sitting on what looks to be a mini fridge, flipping idly through a magazine in a strange language. There's a box of fishing tackle open on his lap.]
Ah, hello, there. You don't happen to have any experience with fishing, do you?
B.
[Jay and company have already been out exploring, and the fruits of that are tacked to the door of one of the purple shacks: a sketched out map of the southeast corner of the island, including several landmarks as well as arrows pointing in the direction of the boar grounds and nearest water source. A note on the door reads,
MAP IN PROGRESS
Have information? Ask for Jay.
Oddly enough, the whole thing seems to be in glitter gel pen.
If you're not the outgoing sort, he may also be knocking on doors in the evenings, a small leather-bound journal in hand.]
Good evening. Do you have a minute to talk? I'm trying to compile some information about the island.
A1
[ Minato looks impressed, watching Jay mess with the handle. He could very easily just magic away the door to remove it completely, but watching somebody expertly unlock a door would be cool to see. ]

It's as if rng knows him best.
Minato's exploration only goes as far as the kitchen and one of the bedrooms, whereupon he leaves to camp out in the hall right in front of the entrance, glancing up past his bangs at anybody who enters or leaves the house, and then down between the textbook on the floor and notebook on his lap where he's... doing math problems. In crayon. Long division is very zen.
There's also a sign next to him, though, a piece of notebook paper weighed down by overturned toy cars on opposite corners so it doesn't get blown away, written in purple crayon:
Anything you find too troublesome to carry, I can hold for you and return later.
Will also trade water for string. ]

conveniently, orihime does have string! well. some kind of string, anyway. she's leaving the house to explore outside when she encounters minato on the floor.
it's the sign that grabs her attention next. ]

[ if there's anything that feels familiar about this entire ordeal, it's exploring. rather, it's mentally mapping out the twisting hallways and rooms of an unfamiliar place, using context clues to discern how to proceed. he feels in his element even without his flattering trench coat and gaudy red gloves. still, it doesn't feel quite right. he doesn't have morgana or futaba giving him guidance, nor are there shadows lurking. it's oddly quiet and the moment the group is inside, akira is likely wandering around, on edge, almost sneaking between doorways. he's on high-alert, half-expecting a creature to lunge out at any moment.
which probably explains why when someone approaches him, completely innocently, he tenses up and proceeds to jump half an inch off the ground. ]
-- Oh. Hi.
[ that was embarrassing. oops. ]
a2 - flowers and misfortunes
[ he's looking for the keys to the locked rooms. there haven't been any clues and that's frustrating! usually these places have some sort of mechanism or trick to them. this just seems random. and by random, it's probably normal, all things considered.
so he's taken to looking in one of gardens, curiously poking at random flowers to see if there are keys within their petals. he probably looks kind of suspicious. or, just like he's goofing off. feel free to bother him. ]
[ closed to ann & haru ]
[ for the other phantom thieves, he's going to be on the lookout for them, with a blank sheet of paper and pen he's somehow managed to find? listen, this is an infiltration and friends stick together, okay? ]

[Eventually he gets his whimsical ass inside the house and trailing behind the rest of the group, immediately splitting off once more.
His exploring gets cut short as he practically trips over a milkcrate, gracefully settling on the ground and pulling the blanket off.
...enough time passes that he finds himself engrossed in what looks like a comic book and judging by the pile he is three issues in. The blanket is bunched off to the side and he seems to be concentrating, tilting his head this way and that.]
Are all aliens into this? [Should he notice anybody nearby, he'll speak without looking up.] I can't even read this.
B.) Outside
[On his own, John has a tendency to wander. Wandering often leads to being separated from his friends and other people but he doesn't mind. Eventually his wandering leads him to an open field of mushrooms, allowing him to crouch down and examine them.
Anyone who happens upon him will find him sitting in the middle of a fairyring formation of mushrooms, contemplating the cluster for a moment.]
So how do you tell if they're edible?

[ an unopened bottle of red wine in a cupboard, a large stone ashtray and various crumpled up receipts written in a foreign language, though the numbers they contain add up to very large sums.

[given the sheer size of the house, it's easy to get lost, distracted, or both. especially for those who give up on raiding the kitchen for supplies and decide to try electric bedroom boogaloo and go through every bed and bath in the house. that's a lot of beds to see. there's at least one particular bedroom that has been examined from top to bottom, and anyone taking a peek inside will see the lower half of a body sticking out from under the bed.]

[tramping around a forest is pretty much just like old times, minus the needing to purify hellions every step of the way. it's almost peaceful, in that sense, and the trio has ample time to explore to their hearts content. whether "exploring" means "actually wandering around the forest looking for cool things" or "sitting up in a tree looking for a magic bridge off of the space island," there's plenty for everyone to do.
eventually, though, they manage to stumble upon an odd metal structure. get ready for hours of intense debate about what it is and who could have possibly built it.]

You tried, and that's the important part. If there's any cigarettes inside they're mine.
[No, it's just the portal to the garden dimension, except nothing's been watered in years and the vines choked most of the windows so there's just mold and dust and empty pots filled with dirt and dead vines. This is feeling kind of like a metaphor for their lives right now.]

But he's especially interested in the fact that the toilet flushes. Neat! He's going to flush it repeatedly now.]
Wonder where it's off to?
[He doubts there's a sewer system okay.]
[Hollow Tree]
[In a field due east of the base camp, Jake finds a giant, hollow tree. It's pretty awesome. But what he's actually doing is measuring it, albeit very imprecisely by stretching out his arms inside of it.
It's cramped but he's pretty sure he could live in here, maybe? His room globe was so much, well, roomier, but...]

[Scavenging around the house is a pretty big deal. Everyone is scattered and everyone is finding different things.
At some point Haru is going to come across a taped up box, upon opening it she finds an assortment of dishes, wine glasses, and kitchenware.]
Oh! This could be useful!
[Cue Haru trying to pick this box up....]
THE FOREST
[And now with a makeshift pack, Haru is going to go off to explore on her own. If she were to run into anyone on the way there she wouldn't mind. But it seems like she has one goal: find things she can uproot and plant.
It seems she might known where she's going too, as if she found something before and she's heading right back to it to grab a couple of things.]

The new house was expansive, that was for sure. What Waver first settled on exploring was not the house itself, but the grounds instead. The garden in the rear had his attention in no small part because the place struck him as the kind of location that would have fruit trees or the like. Ornamental and edible.
So he wandered the rear garden quietly, crouching down every so often to get a better look at the plants. He was hopeful about finding food, but also just curious to see if there was anything familiar.
"Damn, it'd be nice if this thing had signs indicating what's what."
A2
Moving inside, Waver had tried to find a room left untouched. He did, eventually, the place feeling less lived in than others he had poked his head in so far. There were a few chairs around, suggesting that it might be a side sitting room, or had been in another life time, and Waver went to settle in one of the chairs.
As he did so, legs feeling a little sore, there was a loud creak under his feet. That was weird. He went back over the same area. The noise sounded again.
"What the hell?" he asked no one in particular, wiggling the area beneath his feet. "That can't be normal."
B1
Going off on his own, Waver let his feet wander where they liked. As he did so, he quietly thought of Iskandar and how the man loved to see new places, how he relished the novelty of it all. It was hard to embrace that mindset, but Waver hoped that he was managing it better than he might have in the past.
His feet led him to a field eventually, wide and open and beautiful. For a few moments, Waver simply stared, noticing the bushes that dominated the landscape.
There was fruit on them. Fruit that, as he approached, looked like a grape.
Wait, was this a vineyard?!
Waver paused, plucking a grape off the vine. He was either about to discover a food source or get himself sick. As he chewed, what should have been a sweet taste was...meaty.
Baffled, Waver reached for the mirror shard, and opened up a broadcast. He showed off the field, his voice coming from off screen.
"I just found an entire field of grapes. Weird grapes."

[Yang was fairly impressed by the size of the house, letting out a low whistle as she stood in the garden.]
This place is huge. Think we can crash here instead of those dinky huts?
A2 - OPEN
[After making her way inside, Yang checks out several of the rooms. They're supposed to be looking for supplies, but there doesn't seem to be much besides more furniture and just space. After her 4th discovery of a bathroom, 8th bedroom, and 12th closet...she was getting kind of bored.
She stopped in a common room and sighed.]
This sounded like it was going to be much more interesting.
[She flopped on the couch, which was quite lumpy, but then yelped.] Ow! What the heck?
[She rolled off and ripped the cushion up...only to reveal a large duffel bag stuffed beneath.] Well...that's something I guess.
B - OPEN
[After some time in the house, Yang changes course and decides to do a little forest exploration instead. She could hold her own fairly well against the boars after all, so it just seemed like the thing to do.
Maybe you notice her heading off on her own or maybe you're already out exploring--either way when she notices you she holds up a hand in greeting.]

[Hibiki's loot consists of (1) tub of oatmeal packets and (3) boxes of cereal, which, from he's reading from the packages, isn't bad at all.
Taking some rest in a room close to the pantry, he'll look up from the ingredient list if someone wants to head there.]
I don't recommend doing that.
[The only thing to be found there is spoiled fruit and bugs, apparently. Maybe he should've said that first.]

[Island exploration? Sign him up—being aware of your surroundings is crucial, after all. Standing near the forest entrance and holding a book, he adjusts his collar. If someone comes closer, he'll greet them with a nod.]
Are you planning to go inside? We may as well join forces.
( B2; NSFW! )
[To be quite honest, Hibiki wasn't sure if it's okay to take objects from a sacred place. He's still not sure actually, but he grabbed a few tiny phallus figures just in case they're important to figure out the history of this place.
Maybe it's careless to examine them here, when everyone can see him, though. And when Hibiki realizes his grave mistake, he puts one of the figurines back in his pocket, blushing.]
Why are you looking at me like this?!
