[It's tough to live on an island that doesn't have many resources outside of the limited food sources and running streams. While Brie is aware of some other minor sources of food, like fish and frogs, one person exploring an island on their own means there are a lot of secret spots left to uncover. Despite adventuring for three years, her time on the hub itself has been much shorter, only staying for days or weeks at a time. Now that there are more people on this journey, covering ground is a lot easier.

Recently she's discovered another large estate -- much larger than her current shared mansion, which might also mean it has some supplies inside. On the morning of Day #, she's called together those who are hankering for more supplies in order to bring as much back as possible. Congrats, you get first dibs.

A. Upon approaching the house, the first thing that's noticeable is its size. It's all one story, but very flat and spacious. There are gardens in both the front and the rear, and upon entering (Brie might have enlisted you to help break the door down, oops) the inside is also quite vast. There are tons of rooms, multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, two kitchens and other rooms that aren't even explorable because they need keys to be entered. Unless you can find these keys, that is?

B. Alternatively, or maybe even aside from exploring the house, Brie's also suggested that you do some exploring on your own. Again, she's one woman with limited time to scout the island herself. What can you find? What resources are there to be harvested? Will you share in this bounty, or keep it to yourself?]

And that won't even solve anything since the cliff would just fling us right back up. But if we collect enough stuff from other planets maybe we can make up for it. Telepathy is sort of like Pesterchum anyway. I wonder how many people don't even know what the internet is.

[parodeity]

God, several. And those conversations have each killed me slowly inside a little bit.

[windeity]

I was sort of kidding but now I'm even more concerned. [But okay.]

It still weirds me out that this whole island has multiple houses and stuff but there is no sign of real electricity. What were they thinking?

[parodeity]

I don't even know. I mean...maybe there was power once, or maybe we can eventually put in generators of the magical or technological variety. I know we won't be here long ever, apparently, but that is no reason to live without the comforts of actual lights and, like, wi-fi.

[ how much he is kidding is hard to tell... ]

[windeity]

The second idea sounds better if we can make it work. Lenka and I were talking about building new areas on the island for when we're here like a cooking station or a training facility. Just stuff to keep out of reach of the boars and whatever. We could easily set up a tower if we knew how any of that even worked.

[...yeah they don't know how this shit works, do they.]

Maybe Dirk does?

[ a shrug. the guy talks about robots, that seems in his wheelhouse. ]

Anyway...I guess we should head back at some point. It's too bad this place won't be, like, a secret abode.

[windeity]

Yeah, maybe I'll ask him later. [An echoing shrug.]

Sorry that your secret hideaway's no longer secret. But the island is huge, you can probably find another one and we won't even know about it. [He's teasing, but at the same time he doesn't doubt it.] I'll head out when you're ready.

[parodeity]

You'd be allowed in my secret hideaway. Like a fort with no girls allowed?

[windeity]

[A grin.]

That is probably fair. Sure. Then we'll have a secret hideaway whenever we find something else on this island. [A beat.] It's been a few years since I've built a fort anyway.

[parodeity]

I'd say same here but I am an important citizen of can town. But...it's a deal? Let's build a fort when we find the right place. For now, let's get back to Rose, though.

[windeity]

[There's an enthusiastic nod and he's off the bench not long after.]

I want to show her the comics anyway. I'm right behind you. [And off they go to find Rose Lalonde.]
