[It's tough to live on an island that doesn't have many resources outside of the limited food sources and running streams. While Brie is aware of some other minor sources of food, like fish and frogs, one person exploring an island on their own means there are a lot of secret spots left to uncover. Despite adventuring for three years, her time on the hub itself has been much shorter, only staying for days or weeks at a time. Now that there are more people on this journey, covering ground is a lot easier.

Recently she's discovered another large estate -- much larger than her current shared mansion, which might also mean it has some supplies inside. On the morning of Day #, she's called together those who are hankering for more supplies in order to bring as much back as possible. Congrats, you get first dibs.

A. Upon approaching the house, the first thing that's noticeable is its size. It's all one story, but very flat and spacious. There are gardens in both the front and the rear, and upon entering (Brie might have enlisted you to help break the door down, oops) the inside is also quite vast. There are tons of rooms, multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, two kitchens and other rooms that aren't even explorable because they need keys to be entered. Unless you can find these keys, that is?

B. Alternatively, or maybe even aside from exploring the house, Brie's also suggested that you do some exploring on your own. Again, she's one woman with limited time to scout the island herself. What can you find? What resources are there to be harvested? Will you share in this bounty, or keep it to yourself?]

Only that it does have to be some degree of possible. [As far as he knows.]

Which means that it's possible to regrow orchards and stuff here. That's actually good to know. We won't be here for long, I think, but if we ever are we can maybe start building up the island again.

At the least, it's worth grabbing supplies and setting up preparations while we have the opportunity. Brie implies that's what she does with her cameras.

Wait how are her cameras setting up any kind of preparation and grabbing supplies? I thought they were just there because Brie is kind of weird.

[splinten]

She said she grabbed the tech while she was on a higher tech world. I think it's worth gathering materials for that while we're on those worlds, for here.

[windeity]

That's not a bad idea if we can make sure they are fully functioning when we get back. Dave and I were joking about setting up an internet provider here or something.

[splinten]

I could do that with the right supplies. I've figured out how to destroy low battery charges.

[It's something he understands very well and therefore can destroy]

I am not even going to ask how you figured that out, but if you could figure out a signal that we can use to bounce from other planets that have technology that would be awesome. It'd be a decent project to keep busy with, too.

[It inspires a flicker of annoyance.] 'Keep me busy.' Didn't realize you thought that was required.

[Oh. Uh.] I didn't, exactly, but how are you not kind of bored here already? Especially if this is what we are going to come back to after we leave and come back from wherever.

It isn't as boring as a solitary apartment in the middle of the ocean.

[So. No? There are other human beings, and new things to explore.]

[windeity]

I haven't lived through that so I can't really argue that, sure. [Okay, fair.] But it also doesn't change my point, dude.

I'm not entirely sure I understand what your point is, Egbert.

[windeity]

Do you know how to build an internet tower in a day? Because they say that internet towers are not built in a day. [That is absolutely not what people say.]

[splinten]

I remember that saying. It's my second favourite, right after the one about fiddlin' while the ISP burns.

Ha. Ha. But it could also be a project for people to work on together. All of us. As a group. [Think about that for a sec.]

[His eyes flicker over to John, narrow, distant.]

Yeah. Maybe. Do you know anyone with the necessary skills?

Not off the top of my head, but it's a pretty big coven. Dave can draw parts, I can fuse things, we can raid Lenka's fridges...Akira can probably help weld stuff with heat? I think this is going to be an exercise in all of us learning how to use our powers in different ways.
