[It's tough to live on an island that doesn't have many resources outside of the limited food sources and running streams. While Brie is aware of some other minor sources of food, like fish and frogs, one person exploring an island on their own means there are a lot of secret spots left to uncover. Despite adventuring for three years, her time on the hub itself has been much shorter, only staying for days or weeks at a time. Now that there are more people on this journey, covering ground is a lot easier.

Recently she's discovered another large estate -- much larger than her current shared mansion, which might also mean it has some supplies inside. On the morning of Day #, she's called together those who are hankering for more supplies in order to bring as much back as possible. Congrats, you get first dibs.

A. Upon approaching the house, the first thing that's noticeable is its size. It's all one story, but very flat and spacious. There are gardens in both the front and the rear, and upon entering (Brie might have enlisted you to help break the door down, oops) the inside is also quite vast. There are tons of rooms, multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, two kitchens and other rooms that aren't even explorable because they need keys to be entered. Unless you can find these keys, that is?

B. Alternatively, or maybe even aside from exploring the house, Brie's also suggested that you do some exploring on your own. Again, she's one woman with limited time to scout the island herself. What can you find? What resources are there to be harvested? Will you share in this bounty, or keep it to yourself?]

No. Just a lot of clothes and some household things.

It seems like there were children living here, but I think we already knew that.

[Also it's a little disturbing to think about what happened to them.]

...It's all packed up in boxes. Could be that they grew up and left.

[ Are disappearing adults better than disappearing children? He's just trying to be optimistic, but the conviction doesn't show in his voice or face. ]

. . . it's possible. I don't think we'll figure out what happened here just by looking through people's things, anyway.

[His tone of voice says he doesn't think it was good, though.]

Wonder if the people here kept journals...

[ That would make it so easy, wouldn't it? Day by day details of exactly what happened. ]

Do you think they'll come back?

[rebells]

I don't see how, unless they have spaceships. And I don't think they wrote in a language we could read.

[p_mortem]

There might be spaceships. Isn't that how we're travelling?

[ or are they being magicked away, he doesn't know, Genette's letter was too long and vague and he hasn't talked to either her or Brie ]

. . . I honestly assumed we would be traveling by dimensional portal, or something.

...Is that more probable than spaceships?

[rebells]

I don't know.

But we didn't arrive here by spaceship, did we?

[p_mortem]

I guess.

[ Picking them up one-by-one would have been too much. But if they're all leaving at the same time, at the same time, it made more sense to Minato that they go together instead of appearing. ]

Hope we aren't portaled into a inhospitable world, then. At least this island has food and shelter. Air.

[rebells]

Hopefully Qri at least has some idea of what she's doing. If we've been magically kidnapped by an incompetent being, all bets are off.

Isn't she in a coma?

[ Like. Their lives are in the hands of a sleeping woman, what could go wrong ]

Presumably she's aware of . . . some . . . things. Or she will be. I don't see how she's meant to transport us to another world otherwise.

[p_mortem]

Presumably, [ Minato mumbles back, turning to stare into the darkness off the room. ]

I don't really get why we're doing all of this, so... I'd like to hear her explain things in person.

[ Until then, he'll go along with it. But Jay doesn't seem like the type of person to him who is satisfied with that. ]

[He sighs.]

Honestly, I'd like to know why we're really here. But I'd settle for her version of the story. It's rather rude of her to keep us waiting like this.

[ "You're here to bring back Qri's magic" sounds like a weak excuse to Minato too, without any details to back it up, but he's inclined to do what he can in the meantime. So, a shrug, and properly rifling through the boxes one by one again. ]

She sounds important, to expect help from so many of us. Why would she only have two people by her side...

[rebells]

That's another question, yes. If Qri is so important to the fate of the universe, how does she only have what help she can compel from us?

Is she very important though...? Outside of to Brie and Genette.

[ All he has to go on is Genette's letter, which basically boils down to "I can't help you, but you're here to help Qri." ]
