[It's tough to live on an island that doesn't have many resources outside of the limited food sources and running streams. While Brie is aware of some other minor sources of food, like fish and frogs, one person exploring an island on their own means there are a lot of secret spots left to uncover. Despite adventuring for three years, her time on the hub itself has been much shorter, only staying for days or weeks at a time. Now that there are more people on this journey, covering ground is a lot easier.

Recently she's discovered another large estate -- much larger than her current shared mansion, which might also mean it has some supplies inside. On the morning of Day #, she's called together those who are hankering for more supplies in order to bring as much back as possible. Congrats, you get first dibs.

A. Upon approaching the house, the first thing that's noticeable is its size. It's all one story, but very flat and spacious. There are gardens in both the front and the rear, and upon entering (Brie might have enlisted you to help break the door down, oops) the inside is also quite vast. There are tons of rooms, multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, two kitchens and other rooms that aren't even explorable because they need keys to be entered. Unless you can find these keys, that is?

B. Alternatively, or maybe even aside from exploring the house, Brie's also suggested that you do some exploring on your own. Again, she's one woman with limited time to scout the island herself. What can you find? What resources are there to be harvested? Will you share in this bounty, or keep it to yourself?]

a1 - actual thief akira

[ if there's anything that feels familiar about this entire ordeal, it's exploring. rather, it's mentally mapping out the twisting hallways and rooms of an unfamiliar place, using context clues to discern how to proceed. he feels in his element even without his flattering trench coat and gaudy red gloves. still, it doesn't feel quite right. he doesn't have morgana or futaba giving him guidance, nor are there shadows lurking. it's oddly quiet and the moment the group is inside, akira is likely wandering around, on edge, almost sneaking between doorways. he's on high-alert, half-expecting a creature to lunge out at any moment.

which probably explains why when someone approaches him, completely innocently, he tenses up and proceeds to jump half an inch off the ground. ]

[ that was embarrassing. oops. ]

a2 - flowers and misfortunes

[ he's looking for the keys to the locked rooms. there haven't been any clues and that's frustrating! usually these places have some sort of mechanism or trick to them. this just seems random. and by random, it's probably normal, all things considered.

so he's taken to looking in one of gardens, curiously poking at random flowers to see if there are keys within their petals. he probably looks kind of suspicious. or, just like he's goofing off. feel free to bother him. ]

[ for the other phantom thieves, he's going to be on the lookout for them, with a blank sheet of paper and pen he's somehow managed to find? listen, this is an infiltration and friends stick together, okay? ]

[ akira's not the only one who looks like he's goofing off. orihime's also in the garden while on the quest for looking for keys, but she appears to be admiring the scenery more than actually searching for anything. she's squatting next to one of the brushes, looking at the little purple flowers that are growing along its edges. ]

Wah... They're pretty, aren't they?

[ akira happens to be poking at some of the flowers in the brush right next to her, so! hello friend! ]

[actus]

[ !!! ]

Yeah.

[ he's only slightly startled. a smile instantly appears on his face as he pokes at the flower again, double-checking that a key isn't there. when he's satisfied with his investigation, he pulls his hand away and glances back down at orihime. ]

Who do you think takes care of them?

[Haru seems to be just adventuring around a small area, taking in the scenary before deciding to go out any further.

[ he's going to appear at her side. silent and stealth. classic kurusu. ]

Find anything?

[She only jumps a little! She was really in the Zone.]

Not yet, I was going to take a small walk.

[ Qrow feels very free to bother him! ]

So, does she love you or not? I'm in suspense here. [ Not really. ]

[ akira isn't startled (this time) and he glances over at the familiar face. ]

The flower says to 'ask again later.'

[drunkle]

Yeah, I'm not so sure that works in real life.

[ Since when are crows birds of romance? ]

[actus]

[ never, ever, ever. that's when. ]

Oh well. [ he straightens up, stretching his arms lazily above his head. ]

Did you find anything yet?

[drunkle]

I'm not looking for anything, I'm here for my own reasons.

Is that what you were doing over there?

[ Looking through... flowers... ]

[it's all good, Akira, she also jumped about a mile when she realized she startled him.]

Ah! I'm sorry!

[ they're a comedy duo. he rubs the back of his neck, clearly embarrassed, eyes darting off to the side. ]

No, it's my fault. I forgot that other people were here.

[ exploring, too. usually it's just him and his friends. he kind of forgot this wasn't a super secret stealth mission. old habits die hard. ]

This place is pretty big, isn't it? It seems like it'd be so easy to get lost...

You don't think it's haunted, do you?

Haunted?

[ oh my. that's an interesting thought. ]

... Probably not. But it's a good thing we came during the day.

[ akira stop. ]

[Akira...are you okay there. John's stopping in his tracks and he's settling for a stare for a moment, a few comic books in his hand and also raising an eyebrow.]

Are. You okay? [Bro, the jumping is concerning.]

[ bro, it's fine. don't worry about it. ]

Huh? Oh yeah. Just... used to having to sneak around places like this.

[ his hands slide into his pockets easily, a sheepish smile on his face. wow, that sounded kind of sketchy, didn't it? ]

[The best part is that he already sort of knows what the Phantom Thieves are supposed to do but he has zero idea Akira is linked to that. So yeah, it does sound a little sketchy but at the same time John's not going to really question.]

You break into abandoned mansions a lot? [He cracks a grin.] Then you might be our best bet to finding anything useful around here.

[actus]

Mansions? Nah. More like museums and casinos.

[ is that a joke? who knows! he tosses john a smile nonetheless. ]

A lot of the doors are locked, though.

[ Ann is here and she's ready to do some infiltrating! Admittedly, it'd be a whole lot easier to get in the infiltrating mood and all if she was dressed as Panther—yes, the embarrassing catsuit and all. Now that she doesn't have it, she kind of misses it.

Even sans catsuit, she quickly approaches Akira when she sees him near the entrance of the mansion. ]

Hey, Akira!

Hey.

[ he greets her with a slight nod of his head, smiling. his hands slip easily in his pockets and he tosses the mansion another sidelong glance. ]

It's kinda impressive, isn't it?

[ he had no idea such a thing existed on this island. it's kind of creepy, in its own right. ]

[pussywhips]

[ She glances back towards the mansion, her hands on her hips as she takes it all in. It's certainly... something. But Ann is pretty pumped to go exploring in it, mostly because she's hoping to find some good stuff. (Like... food. What kind of food she's hoping to find in a dilapidated mansion, I don't know.) ]

Yeah, it looks pretty big, huh? It kinda reminds me of a Palace.

[ They didn't infiltrate any mansions, but they could've. ]

[ listen, if they infiltrated a castle, a bank and a cruise liner, a mansion was a very logical next step. ]

Think there's a map anywhere inside?

[ it's mostly a joke, because he isn't exactly sure that's how the real-world works. while public buildings usually have maps, he gets the distinct feeling this place wasn't open towards the general public. ]
