[It's tough to live on an island that doesn't have many resources outside of the limited food sources and running streams. While Brie is aware of some other minor sources of food, like fish and frogs, one person exploring an island on their own means there are a lot of secret spots left to uncover. Despite adventuring for three years, her time on the hub itself has been much shorter, only staying for days or weeks at a time. Now that there are more people on this journey, covering ground is a lot easier.

Recently she's discovered another large estate -- much larger than her current shared mansion, which might also mean it has some supplies inside. On the morning of Day #, she's called together those who are hankering for more supplies in order to bring as much back as possible. Congrats, you get first dibs.

A. Upon approaching the house, the first thing that's noticeable is its size. It's all one story, but very flat and spacious. There are gardens in both the front and the rear, and upon entering (Brie might have enlisted you to help break the door down, oops) the inside is also quite vast. There are tons of rooms, multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, two kitchens and other rooms that aren't even explorable because they need keys to be entered. Unless you can find these keys, that is?

B. Alternatively, or maybe even aside from exploring the house, Brie's also suggested that you do some exploring on your own. Again, she's one woman with limited time to scout the island herself. What can you find? What resources are there to be harvested? Will you share in this bounty, or keep it to yourself?]

Were you looking for me, Jay-kun?

[She's scooting the box out.] I think so, yes. It's kind of heavy.

[rebells]

You might want to find Minato and get him to turn these into beads.

[He's scrawny himself, but he can help scoot the box out in the meantime.]

And yes. How much do you know about plants?

[mapsio]

You're right, I should find Minato-kun. This might be a lot easier.

[She's going through the dishes. There are a lot. At the question she's going to nod.]

What do you need to know?

[rebells]

Nothing in particular, it's just--I'm sure you've seen the gardens here already, and we also found what looked like an orchard nearby the other day.

[mapsio]

Akira-kun took me there earlier. The garden is a little neglected right now. It's going to take me pulling the weeds and cutting back some of the pants to freshen it up again.

[She didn't hear about the orchard though...]

Can you show me the orchard?

[rebells]

You're already making plans, I see.

[He sounds approving.]

And of course. There's nothing growing there right now--the trees had some sort of disease--but if that could be taken care of somehow . . . .

[mapsio]

Of course. This means I might not have to find a garden elsewhere. Plus on my exploration earlier I found some herbs and spices.

[She seems pleased with her findings today.]

I haven't really tried to grow a tree or tend to them, but I guess I could try learning while I'm here?

[rebells]

[That gets a small smile.]

I think we're all going to be learning a few new things while we're in this situation. Did you want to go see the orchard now? It's a little ways away from here.

[mapsio]

Sure, lets go see the orchard.

[She is going to close and set her box aside. Writing her name on it with ehatever writing utensil she finds in the room.]

[rebells]

[He'll wait for her, then, before leading her out of the house and eastward.]

You gardened back on your world, I presume? As a hobby or was it a profession?

[mapsio]

It started out as a school project, and then it sort of turned into my hobby after that. I've started mixing my own soil.

[She is going to trust Jay and follow him then!]

[rebells]

[Jay is an eminently trustworthy person, of course. There's no immediate sign of the orchard, although he does stop and consult what seems to be a partial map of the island a couple times.]

What sorts of things did you grow?

[mapsio]

Fruits, vegetables, sometimes I would grow odd looking flowers. It really just depended. My most recent attempts were coffee beans.

[Still following. She knows she can probably defend herself if things went wrong? But Jay doesn't seem like a bad person.]

[rebells]

Did you use them for coffee?

[mapsio]

I did, I've been trying to perfect it. Growing and making coffee has been a recent interest of mine.

[rebells]

I see. I don't have much experience with gardening myself. Or living off the land, although I can fish, a little bit. --Ah, there we are.

[There's a grove of trees in the distance that he points out. Not that you ever had any doubts about him, of course.]

[mapsio]

Oh, you're right. Look at all of those trees.

[She's going to have her work cut out for her.]

I only have gardening experience, living off the land is a different story.

[rebells]

[As they get closer, it's clear the trees are bare and suffering from some sort of disease, but this was clearly an orchard at one point.]

Yes. I'm hoping someone here might have healing or plant-based powers that could help the trees grow again. Or perhaps whoever was here before had some method of treating them.

[mapsio]

I don't think I know how to fix trees yet, but, you were right. These are looking pretty bad.

[Haru wishes she had this kind of experience.]

[rebells]

[A nod.]

You'll have help if you want to try and deal with this, at least, although I don't know if any of us know more about trees than you do.

[mapsio]

I think it's going to take a lot of research. Maybe I will see if I can find any books on this. Maybe you could help me with this?

[A perfect plan to get to know Jay better.]

I'd like to get these growing again, too.
