[It's tough to live on an island that doesn't have many resources outside of the limited food sources and running streams. While Brie is aware of some other minor sources of food, like fish and frogs, one person exploring an island on their own means there are a lot of secret spots left to uncover. Despite adventuring for three years, her time on the hub itself has been much shorter, only staying for days or weeks at a time. Now that there are more people on this journey, covering ground is a lot easier.
Recently she's discovered another large estate -- much larger than her current shared mansion, which might also mean it has some supplies inside. On the morning of Day #, she's called together those who are hankering for more supplies in order to bring as much back as possible. Congrats, you get first dibs.
A. Upon approaching the house, the first thing that's noticeable is its size. It's all one story, but very flat and spacious. There are gardens in both the front and the rear, and upon entering (Brie might have enlisted you to help break the door down, oops) the inside is also quite vast. There are tons of rooms, multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, two kitchens and other rooms that aren't even explorable because they need keys to be entered. Unless you can find these keys, that is?
B. Alternatively, or maybe even aside from exploring the house, Brie's also suggested that you do some exploring on your own. Again, she's one woman with limited time to scout the island herself. What can you find? What resources are there to be harvested? Will you share in this bounty, or keep it to yourself?]

[Yang was fairly impressed by the size of the house, letting out a low whistle as she stood in the garden.]
This place is huge. Think we can crash here instead of those dinky huts?
A2 - OPEN
[After making her way inside, Yang checks out several of the rooms. They're supposed to be looking for supplies, but there doesn't seem to be much besides more furniture and just space. After her 4th discovery of a bathroom, 8th bedroom, and 12th closet...she was getting kind of bored.
She stopped in a common room and sighed.]
This sounded like it was going to be much more interesting.
[She flopped on the couch, which was quite lumpy, but then yelped.] Ow! What the heck?
[She rolled off and ripped the cushion up...only to reveal a large duffel bag stuffed beneath.] Well...that's something I guess.
B - OPEN
[After some time in the house, Yang changes course and decides to do a little forest exploration instead. She could hold her own fairly well against the boars after all, so it just seemed like the thing to do.
Maybe you notice her heading off on her own or maybe you're already out exploring--either way when she notices you she holds up a hand in greeting.]
Hey. Wanna check out the forest a little more?
b
[But he's angling towards her, seemingly agreeable.]

[Yang doesn't seem to have an issue with strangers.]
Besides, if you give me your name then you will be slightly less of a stranger. I'll start, I'm Yang.

[Yang was accepting of the fact that most people weren't familiar with the place she was fun.]
It was a school for huntsmen...that is people who would learn to fight monsters and defend the kingdom.
no subject
Huntsmen, hmm? Were you more like soldiers or more like guards?
no subject
[Yang figured she'd start walking towards the forest now. No sense in just standing around.]
A2
How do you think they managed to fit that in there without making it obvious?
no subject
[Yang glanced over her shoulder, even as she pulled the duffel and dropped it on the floor. It made a clunk and then a rattle sound--something was in it.]
Although, it's not completely stuffed...so I imagine if you arranged it right you could hide it.
no subject
So I guess the next question is what is so important they needed to hide it. Are you going to open it?
no subject
[Yang unzipped the bag without waiting much longer. It was pretty exciting...until she saw what was inside. Her smile dropped and turned into more of a look of skepticism.]
Well that's just disappointing.
[She shows the open bag to him...it's only got cans of beans in it.]
no subject
So the better question is why would anyone need to hide a can of beans in the first place? Are they even good still?
no subject
You can always check the expiration date. Although I guess if it doesn't have one the only other way would be to try and eat some.
[Yang is daring...she's not sure she's quite that daring after the whole crab fiasco.]
As for why to hide beans in a duffel bag...your guess is as good as mine.
no subject
Either they were using it as a weapon somehow, or they were hiding from a bean thief. We could open a can and feed it to the boars outside to see if they're okay still. That should give us an idea.
no subject
But aren't animals able to eat things we can't sometimes? That might be a problem if we're trying to figure out if we can eat them or not, but I guess it's a start.

Want to get working on a trap then? The boars are supposed to be in the forest and it'll probably take some time to lure them into eating this stuff.
a2
Someone wanted to be sneaky. I wonder if there's something inside the bag?
no subject
Only one way to figure that out...though my backside tells me there's something.
[She unzips the bag and discovers...cans of beans. Her smile drops. Not exactly the most exciting discovery.]
Huh.
no subject
Well...I won't lie, I expected something else. I wonder if they're at least edible.
no subject
[This was probably made more disappointing by the fact she'd been expecting something even a little bit more interesting than cans of beans. Although she supposed it was a different food to try than the crab meat that made everyone sick or the boar.]
Well...there has to be a way to find out. I mean they're canned, so that's reassuring to start with.
[It wasn't like mushrooms out in the woods. They even had labels...although the language was a foreign one that Yang did not recognize.]
