[WORLD TWO | JAILBREAK]
[ Fifteen days ago, twelve members of the coven were selected to be captured and put under major scrutiny by the Shehui government. Today, they become freed.
Well, that's a pretty dramatic tag line for it all, but it's a dramatic moment isn't it? The coven members who have been taken have been subjected to some pretty hideous conditions, and their captivity and abuse has been reported to their fellow members via telepathy. With this information, and even just the knowledge that coven members have been taken at all, a plan of attack has been orchestrated.
Whether or not you're actively involved in this plan, the effects will likely be noticed immediately -- but it's up to fellow coven members to decide just how wide spread their pandemonium is. SImply put, there will be distracting forces and also those who go in for attack. Helpers and fighters. It's up to you what hand you have in helping your fellow man! ]
( ooc: Since there are a lot of different roles that can't be subsidized to their own prompts, the main given prompts in the log will be for pre- and during the jailbreak. You can have multiple prompts that take place in both situations in the event you have a multi-tiered role.
pre-jailbreak: Anything not directly involved with the government porthole location OR something leading up to the onslaught at the porthole.
during the jailbreak: Directly at the porthole and/or inside of the government hall, so labeled Lower Admin Hall C with a large connecting and locked door in a room that leads to Lower Admin Hall D. )
Let it be known that the monitors won't go down without a fight. No upper level government employees show their face, but when attacked monitors will indeed go in for the kill. However, they are initially taken by surprised. They aren't aware that their technology can be hacked, or that they have a large force that's about to come in against them.
If a monitor is felled, it's possible to take their ID card and use it to break prisoners free. They will all have clearance to access holding rooms, as well as testing centers and interrogation rooms. Use these keys to find coven members -- but characters will also find more monitors as they go through the hall.
Because this is a lower level administration area, searching the place won't find much in the way of information. This is something of the equivalent of a government prison. Weapons, medicine, files on ALL coven members (which can be taken), and similar items can be found. What's certainly more interesting is found in Lower Admin Hall D.
---
hacking results: Capable hackers like 9S will be able to hack into the entrance of the government building eventually, which allows for an easier flow of movement in and out. This won't be the only reward reaped from the hacking: there are tons of locked archives that are concealed within the Shehui mainframe. Most are boring, governmental gobbledygooks, aptly named things like watersystem//upperdeck and the like. Three offer some intriguing information, titled contrabandlist//highlevel, adminhalld//accessrequirementoverride and notefile//banned//writtenrecord.
The first two archives are much easier to crack open and give information as follows (with irrelevant information omitted):
contrabandlist//highlevel
Four (4) small bone fragments, electrical in nature. Dangerous ##04. Contraband Room 5.
One (1) inanimate golden box. [MODIFICATION: When collected, box was magic in nature. Expended Three (3) smooth black stones predetermined to be filled with void magic in opening said golden box for investigation. Not currently deemed dangerous. Contraband Room 1.
> RETRIEVAL: One (1) body from inanimate golden box. Still living, suspended animation. Held in Contraband Room 4. DO NOT INCLUDE OTHER CONTRABAND. CONTRABAND ROOM 4 NOW OFF LIMITS FOR NEW MATERIAL.
> DETAIL: Clothed. Height: [measurement translation to 6' 3"]. Weight: Indeterminate. Dangerous ##77. Antima Formula RE5 inserted in constant IV. No obvious name, planetary association.
adminhalld//accessrequirementoverride
This archive contains a program that can be transferred from ID card to ID card. Anyone who has this .exe in their ID card can give it to someone else. This will grant access to all Lower Admin Hall D rooms, including contraband rooms -- there are six in total. These rooms can also be looted! All magical items within these rooms won't be immediately obvious in how they are magical, but there are plenty of items there that may be looted.
notefile//banned//writtenrecord
????
new objective: jailbreak qri Utilizing this new information, coven members have the opportunity to find Qri and her golden box. While the box does seem somewhat non threatening and useless, unbeknownst to coven members it does contain void properties that allow Qri to use it as a space pocket for all the coven's shit. If you left it in the box, then you're shit out of luck if the box doesn't come to. Qri is surprisingly light, but still unconscious. Because of her size and condition, it will likely take more than one person to move her...but her body may potentially be a good meeting point for coven members. The room is isolated, and she's somewhat awe-inspiring being a large, albino-alien lady.
---
post-jailbreak There's certainly a hullabaloo going on in the government building as the coven members try to fight to take their monitors. One thing is for certain -- there's no going back, now.
After a while, all coven member IDs go black -- including those belonging to uninvolved parties. For some, this is only temporary. Shehui is watching, and they know who they can potentially make loyal. However, anyone involved in the break-in, as well as the Chosen 12, their IDs will remain black. All credits have been taken and their capability to unlock any door will be removed.
Suddenly the fuzzy black cards begin to emit a high-pitched noise. All monitors still underground and alive will immediately freeze at the noise. The black ID cards will begin to flash a very blinding, red message:
TRUCE
ALL STAND DOWN
PEACEFUL EVICTION INITIATED: [TRANSLATED DATE: 20TH]
NO MORE HARM WILL COME TO YOU HERE
No matter where they are, monitors all standing completely still, hands up in surrender. Take a few more shots at them if you dare -- they won't defend themselves. Though your credits may be frozen and your identification marked, this is a war you've won. This war anyway. This war, here. ]

But only a few minutes later, it's all too easy to see why she didn't, and why the function was phased out entirely. There are enough of them around to cover for A2 while recovers, and she does recover before throwing herself back into the fight, but 2B keeps it in mind as they make their way in. While she can't keep track of A2 the entire time, too much going on and too much ground to cover to simply stay all together, she won't let another YoRHa unit fall. Even if they were all designed to be disposable, none of that matters now. She asked A2 to take care of everyone for her. It's only right that given this chance, she try and take care of her.
When she sees her go down on her knee, she immediately makes her way to her. There aren't any monitors around, and the others are already seeing to the evacuation of those kidnapped. If there are still loose ends here, she'll see to them in a second. Right now, A2 is her priority.]
Hey. [She kneels down, staying alert for more monitors but keep her blindfold-covered gaze on A2.] Take it easy, I'll cover you.

[The infiltration team has been split into two groups: half tasked to go after the prisoners, the other half after Qri. Jay has gathered the latter group around a table and is briefing them, a map of Lower Admin Hall D on a tablet in front of him. He looks serious and grim.]
Don't all enter the building at once. I want at least two of you, plus me, to head straight for Qri's room; everyone else should fan out and search the other rooms. Act like you belong there, and if that doesn't work, knock whoever it is out. Any questions?
pre-jailbreak, telepathy
We're starting.
Teams, you know what to do. Prisoners, stand by for rescue. Everyone else, make your way to the safe location. Try to be discreet about it. Go.
jailbreak, contraband room 4
[There's an unconscious monitor outside the door to Contraband Room 4. Inside is the unconscious woman so much mystery has been focused on--Jay approaches her cautiously, as though he thinks she might start giving off magical energy. He examines the IV drip closely before saying,]
I'm going to try and move her. I don't think anything's going to happen, but cover me if it does.
post-jailbreak
[Jay, skinny kid that he is, is probably not going to carry Qri out himself, but he was definitely part of the party carrying Qri out, and is not far from her now, as he grabs a bottle of water from where it was stashed at the temporary safe location and drinks deeply.
He's . . . not entirely sure what just happened?? But he'll take the break and the opportunity to figure it out.]
Ah, hello there. Congratulations on being evicted.

[She would count how many days it has been since the testing started. But, the days pretty much started to blend together after a while.
Anyone trying to reach out to Haru before the jailbreak? This would be the best time.
Even if she's uh, not really completely all there right now.]
During, closed to
[It's been a long fifteen days, and even during the jailbreak... Haru isn't exactly able to move herself to get out. She's going to hope that someone is able to help her out of here.
Even if that someone had to drag her out of here, she just...wanted out.]
Is someone there?
[She's going to slowly sit herself up, trying to assess the situation.]
Post
[As much as she would like to go on the post jailbreaking shenanigans, Haru is one of the Chosen 12 that needs medical attention like, soonish.
Though once she is looked over, she is stubbornly going to be trying to look out for her fellow cellmates, or perhaps she looks like she could be of more help. But this is the time to worry about yourself, Haru!
To anyone who approaches her, she will still give them a warm smile.]
Did we really win? are you holding up okay?
[Even if their credits are frozen and they were evicted— it's still a victory, right?]
post
[ jude very gently grasps her by the wrist, careful not to jostle her. ]

during the jailbreak
[the loss of Madoka's ring tipped Geir into a rage most of his acquaintances in the coven might not have suspected of him. when the call goes out that the prison break is starting, he bellows loudly enough to shake the building's foundations and thrashes, battering his whole body into the walls with a noise nearly as loud and his voice. it's not certain, or really relevant, whether it's the barriers around him that give first, or if the hacked door springs open from the efforts of the coven's geek squad. perhaps they happen at the same time. either way, they release a screaming giant into the oh-so-secure facility.
size constraints mostly keep Geir to the large central areas rather than the narrow hallways, but his booming, snarling screams continue. he slams his weight into any surface he can find, crumbling walls and sending the monitors running with cries of alarm. he doesn't chase after them, but he doesn't need to; unless they retreat far into the narrower corridors he hasn't peeled back yet, there's no cover that will do anything for them. he shakes the fire of the monitors' weapons impatiently off his scales like raindrops. his face is a mask of fury with slitted, blazing eyes. he's here to tear this part of the world down.
he never quite gets in the coven's way, but he doesn't make any move to register them, either. perhaps a tail will sweep rubble and walls and monitors out of their path when they need to escape or run to the next storage room. perhaps his charge forward will somehow avoid a coven member instead of knocking them aside. but he doesn't turn to look at anyone except Vern, when Vern gets there and he needs to scoop Vern safely onto his back instead. then he roars again, and rears up to viciously sink talons into the ceiling, fragmenting the concrete and tearing into the dirt and rock above.
maybe you don't want to try to talk to him right now.]
((ooc: i am on hiatus for this oops! please comment here if there's anything you want to note or work out as Would Have Happened With The Dragon, or go here to tag him for a slow thread in the aftermath.))

[ At last, it's time.
His curse has become much harder to control his curse the longer he goes without food and... harming things, unfortunately. So it is fortunate that the signal comes from Jay and co on this day, and not any later. Any more, and it'll be stretching his already superhuman limit. ]
I'll be heading to meet Geir. If you can, stay behind us. We'll cover you.
[ With that, he rises from his seat on the cell floor, dusting his clothes out of habit. By this time, his eyes have turned completely gold. ]
during
[ Once the doors have been hacked open, Julius decides to let it go.
This transformation is different from last time - instead of just succumbing to the Aragami's will, he chooses to take its power in parts. A pair of wings erupt from his back, white and papery much like a butterfly's cocoon; but they hold him aloft without flapping just fine. Digging into his memory lets him grow two long spears from his hands, also out of what seems to be white wood - not quite swords, but their range lets him dual-wield without much difficulty.
For those who have seen him for the first time, his appearance can seem almost alien - a man with pure white skin and golden eyes. Even his voice becomes distorted, with an echo-like quality that might imply that the speaker doesn't quite have human vocal chords.
If there are coven members facing against monitors, he would insert himself between the two parties. A spear is pointed at the monitor, his face impassive. ]
This is your last warning. Leave us alone or I won't hold back.
[ Feel free to run into him elsewhere in the facility, either fighting together or if your character needs a helping hand or branch. He'll be fighting until he can be sure everyone else has evacuated. ]
after
[ A headcount has been done, Qri recovered - not quite in circumstances beyond his expectation, but it's ended well. At long last, it seems that the government has acknowledged them.
Julius holds up his ID card, the small slip of metal having been held securely in a branch pocket. The text on it flashes red - no doubt it has also done the same on yours. ]
So... it's over, then?
[ His voice has lost the strange quality from before, almost relieved.
Then in the next second he promptly keels over, falling on his knees. His inhuman parts (wings, spears) shatter simultaneously much like crystal, coating him in a soft, white dust. ]
wildcard
[ hit me with something and I'll roll with it! ]

hands slip under his arms, holding him up before carefully lowering him to the ground. she's not entirely sure if his wings and spears shattering is detrimental to his health, and she only vaguely registers the dust that settles on him and her hands. ]
It's over. [ for now, at least. A2 kneels in front of him, keeping her hold on him in case he falls again. ] Can you stand? We need to get you to the others.

[He hasn't really felt like a Paladin since he got to Shehui. It says a lot about how he might feel when he returns to Earth in the far distant future. Maybe he wouldn't. It isn't the time for thoughts like that. He moves with the group checking back over his equipment one more time. When they get close he changes shape, turning from a man into a massive metal lion.
He shakes his head and flexes to make sure everything is settled. Nothing is ever out of place but it never hurts to check. With all systems good to go, he resumes his place in the group.]
I'll keep the air defenses busy. But, if you need help I can sweep down and break up any heavy fighting.
I should, in theory, be able to stay ahead of them even if I need to break off every now and then.

[He has to fly circles around the helicopters to get them to chase him. He had expected immediate resistance not surprise. Shiro slaps a copter with his paw and rockets past and finally, finally, they focus on him.
True to his word when he's needed he sweeps down, roaring and scattering monitors. He kicks any fallen ids out of the way of anyone's feet. He shakes off any bullets as he races along the ground to pick up speed, doing as much damage as he can. He could take off at any time.
But they need to think they have a chance in hell of catching him. His thunderous roars are loud and clear. All the better to bait the hook a little deeper.]
Post-jailbreak
[Peaceful eviction sounds like they're being banned. Shiro had focused on getting everyone out once the fighting stopped. Credits being locked isn't a big problem. He'd been paranoid for a long time and stocked up just in case.
He leans against something at the edge of the temporary camp with his arms crossed over his chest. The more he thinks about what happened the more concern nags at him.]

(CLOSED to: rescue the prisoners squad)
[ for those involved with getting the prisoners out, roy is going to talk to you. it's a crisp, curt tone, commanding, calm, and in control -- no frustration or anger in him, today, but instead a leader that knows precisely what he is going to do, how he is going to accomplish it, and what the costs are if he fails.
but for now: a brief briefing. an opportunity to give direction and to offer guidance. ]
Our priority is rescuing the prisoners, but not at the cost of your own life. Do not play hero, do not do anything outside of the plan. Take what you need to defend yourself and keep moving. Leave the collection of information to the alternate team. We have enough to deal with without worrying ourselves with Qri or any other distractions.
Do not hesitate to strike back against the monitors, because they are not going to hesitate to strike against you. You are shooting to kill, in every situation. Now is not the time to exhibit mercy. Your life is your priority, not theirs.
[ roy pauses. ]
Questions, concerns, or misgivings? This is your last opportunity to back out. After this moment, you're enlisted.
[B] click click boom. (during.)
(OPEN)
[ the moment roy is able to obtain a new weapon, he does so. after shooting down a monitor with his (borrowed) gun and stepping over it, collecting an ID card to open more doors, he manages to find a set of jet black gloves. ordinarily, he would just keep moving, but something about them looks a little . . . weird. roy can't place the material and they seem to glint in the dim lighting of the facility. and (perhaps stupidly, and he can almost hear riza hawkeye going don't do it), roy slips them on. when he does, they auto-fit to his hand, and he stares at them for a moment before deciding -- well, why not.
so he raises his right hand, aiming toward the already broken body of the monitor, and snaps his fingers.
instantly, the gloves shimmer, and grow warm, and a small bead of light appears at the tips of his fingers. roy has about half a second to regret his life choices before the bead of light immediately bursts into a jumping bolt of flame, slamming into the body of the monitor and roasting it to a near cinder. the aim is a little off, and it is definitely nowhere near as precise, but for the first time in about two weeks, roy's lips twist into a slight grin.
game on. ]
[B.5] keep it moving (during)
(OPEN)
[ roy is going to be methodically moving through the prison to get people out. open cells, delegate people to carry people who cannot walk, and mostly provide back-up to those who cannot fight as well as he can. this is your generate do you wanna be rescued by roy post. he's going to be ensuring that every single person gets out, so if you want to talk to roy or have a cool fight sequence with him, this is your opportunity before he finds his work wife and loses interest in anything else. ]
[C] into hell (during).
(CLOSED to: riza.)
[ there's the growing noise of clamor, but what might sound familiar to riza is the sudden sound of an explosion and the dull thud of a body hitting the wall. the door of the cell opens to reveal a monitor, who seems to be there to put the remaining prisoner somewhere else, but the moment the monitor seems to make even the slightest move toward stepping inside the door, there's a sudden crack as the monitor is thrown down the hallway, promptly incinerated.
and, perhaps less surprising, roy soon appears in the door, lowering his hand before shaking it slightly, frowning at the black gloves he definitely stole from some room somewhere, and an aggravated mutter under his breath: ] Four more inches to the left and it would have been perfect -- [ but his voice soon dies down once he sees who is actually in the room, and roy immediately drops his hand nearly rushes into the room, dropping to his knees to riza's level by the bed, taking her gently by the arms. ] Finally, are you --
[ stupid question. he exhales quickly before glancing back toward the door, decides that the rest of the team has it for two seconds before refocusing his attention on riza, scanning her quickly before gently taking her face in his hands, to make sure that she can focus. ] I'm here. [ it's said quietly, but there's still a sense of urgency to his tone. ] Can you walk?
[D] never trust a politician (post)
(OPEN)
[ once roy has the people he cares about out and settled, he's going to be sticking relatively close to riza. but you can find him in the rendezvous point afterward, checking on various people, making sure everyone is okay. if you've spoken to roy at all, he will absolutely be coming to check on you once he gets riza settled to heal. and if you're around him once the truce message pops up on the network, you can definitely hear him go: ]
What bullshit.
[ : under his breath before he keeps moving.
he doesn't believe for a moment they're okay. ]
[C] into hell.
her body has dealt with its fair share of abuse over the last few days, but riza had been keeping it together. or doing her best to. why, when she sees fire and the door opening and the monitor falling that her body decides it has been too much, she doesn't know.
not that it matters, because seconds pass and suddenly there is a pair of arms around her, pulling her close and gently. she winces at the movement at first, because it hurts, it all hurts, but that is also something she can get passed because when her eyes blink back open it's roy looking back at her - concern and stress and urgency written all over her face. despite it all, she gives him something of a weak smile. ] See? Just on time. [ before she grunts, moving to sit up on her own. ]
I can walk. [ her tone is back to something more firm, professional, as she grips his arm to help give her leverage to pull herself to a sitting position, eyes tightening with the pain of it before she can control it back, her head dipping forward against his shoulder. ] How is the...rest going?

needless to say, ruby is not in great shape.
idols are not fighters, and ruby even less so - she's young, fragile, and lacking in both physical stamina and emotional strength to deal with confinement. it's been incredibly traumatic for her, to the point where she has all but shut down completely. she reached her point of exhaustion a long time ago, and is most definitely more of a burden to the rescue effort than an asset. ]
a. closed to
[ needless to say, the sound of monitors mobilizing above them and around the cells causes a bit of a ruckus. it's enough to stir ruby out of the hypnotic, defeated daze that she's lulled herself into in riza's arms. ]
Nn...
[ she musters up the strength to look up at riza, eyes heavy and dark. ]
What's happening?
b. during/post jailbreak
[ riza is the one to carry her out of the building, but it isn't long before they're out and she's being gently passed off from her arms and into that of the medic team. needless to say, she doesn't look good - besides her clothes being dirty and frayed and her hair having lost its usual pigtailed style, the shallow cut on her jawline, the makeshift brace of fabric around her (fractured) wrist and her shallow breathing is proof enough that she needs immediate care. further inspection will see various needle puncture marks on her arms and a burn mark on her side.
maybe she's being passed into your arms, or maybe you're just passing by on your way to assist with the combat effort. whether you're a rescuer, a friend, or both, her condition begs attention - maybe she'll respond to your voice... ]
post, i hope ur ready for PAIN
She can't help the emotions that are bubbling up within her at this very moment, what is it? Anger, sadness, confusion— a mixture of the three? Dia is careful and slow, kneeling by Ruby's side and brushing a hand through her hair. They hurt her. They hurt someone as defenseless as Ruby. How could those horrible people live with themselves? Anger, decidedly becomes the emotion. But this was no time to leave it unchecked. She has to try talking to her younger sister right now, making sure she's still somewhat conscious.]
Ruby? Can you hear me? I'm here now, don't worry. You're safe now.
[Though her voice doesn't indicate much relief. Ruby is still hurt, and she doesn't think that her own type of healing would be good for Ruby's condition.] I won't forgive them, no matter what.

[Cover, for Waver, is a matter of having the high ground and then applying it low. That is all to say that he's been sitting in a building at the corner windows for some time, waiting for the signal that the decoy team was using to pull out.
When that happens, there's a slowly rolling fog from the north end, starting in low and circling the ankles of everyone present. It's not thick, not yet, but it begins to build in thickness and in height, more and more and more and more until there's a density to provide all the cover one might need.
But, just in case:]
If anyone needs better obscuring, let me know and give me your rough position so I can pick out where you're standing from my perspective.
Post-jailbreak
Waver waited quietly in the old building he had been using for his role in the decoy team. Unsure of what to do after, and knowing only that he needed to sit things out before he could even leave the building, he sat quietly on the floor. No one had come in. And...
...and now the ID was flashing. He blinked in genuine surprise, and stood up from his spot. This felt like bullshit, something he grew more and more certain of as he descended the steps of the building and exited onto the street.
To no one, to anyone, to whoever he was around, he said simply, "This can't actually be the end of it."
Post
[Shiro hovers in the air overhead and slowly descends to the ground. His metal feet make contact with the street with a heavy clank. He moves towards Waver in a slow easy stride.]
Just means pulling out will be a lot smoother than expected. It seems like we caught them entirely off guard.

[ Pre-game jitters are normal - Amanda can't remember the last time she had it this bad, though. It's hard to say if talking to Ruby was a mistake or not but that was over a week ago and she already sounded bad. The rest of the captives can't be holding up much better either; more than one of them seemed unsuited to resisting torture.
She has a gun. She has a bulletproof vest. Her magic was limited to just her broom - there wouldn't be any quick-thinking creative uses of her witch training to bail her out, and she'd had way too much time to think about what she was doing.
Stretching, she cracks her knuckles. ]
Guess it's game time, huh?
[ Her voice doesn't really match her casual choice of words. ]
Jailbreak!
[ Amanda's gotten herself into a weird spot, more towards the back of the diversionary team. Her job certainly isn't stealthy, and she makes for a good moving target in a pinch, but fighting isn't her primary concern. It's not like she isn't tough or anything but... look at people like A2 and 2B. Compared to some of the coven, she's squishy, and she needs to keep herself in one piece - as well as her broom. Ducking into a janitor's closet mid-breakout isn't where she wants to be.
She's got a job. Grab anyone who looks like they're in bad shape, yank them up onto her broom, make sure they don't have any limbs dangling out, and go. While her dancing from before was a lot flashier, this is serious; her arms and legs pulled in as tight as possible, body held low, whipping past danger by centimeter margins. Please, uh, don't... step in front of her while she's on the move, and if you're a prospective passenger, hold on for dear life.
Hopefully, she won't have to actually shoot anyone. ]
More Jailbreak
[ So she's not gonna be much use moving Qri, but once she's gotten confirmation that a few of the most vulnerable prisoners are safe...
Well who's gonna judge her if she just so happens to take a half minute to loot? Part desire, part spite, part natural impulse, she's totally going for a loot. ]
Can you believe some of the stuff down here?
Post-break - Closed to Dia
[ ...at some point near the end, Amanda, riding high on the confidence of how well things were going, fucked up. Granted, she hid it well, keeping up her end of the job for a few minutes even while her vision was starting to blur, but the moment the monitors gave up, instead of taking time out to go kick them in the shins, she dropped to her feet with the broom tucked under an armpit, hovering for support.
Dodging through the rest of the coven with halfhearted waves and smiles - no words - she staggers towards the only for-sure healer she remembers, even passing by... possibly more powerful healers.
She staggers towards Dia, a frayed hole in the cloak she's been wearing apparent. No blood, certainly not visibly, but the loose material has hidden the much more serious damage to the protection she wore underneath, and she nearly falls as she reaches Dia. ]
...Hhhhey...
[ Her voice is strained, her breaths shallow. ]
...think... you can... handle... some cracked r... ribs?
[ Amanda smiles, and starts to fall towards Dia.
This shit hurts like nothing else even with a bulletproof vest. ]
pre-break
He was one of those going in on the infiltration team -- it was something he was good at, and he had a track record of breaking unfairly detained prisoners out of jail, ironically enough. Though they were on different teams and going to be at certain places soon in the same general area, he decides to make quick conversation with her. ]
It is about that time. Is there anything else you want to say or discuss before we all take our respective positions?
[ Though Siegfried knows little of most of the people participating in this, he throws the question out there anyway. He figures it doesn't hurt for a variety of reasons. ]

[ if you're a member of the infiltration team, it's likely that you've been gathered into an isolated room at shehui's police station, a pile of stripped, nude officers brazenly positioned in the corner of said room.
percival is already donning his uniform, fortunately. as for the rest of the lot... ]
Present yourself properly. We need this act to be mildly convincing, at the very least.
...Tie your tie, first and foremost.

jailbreak (infiltration team)
[ it's havoc; monitors running amok, a flurry of bullets and organized chaos from the coven's end, a desperate attempt to stave off the opposition as their hackers work away at the door.
it's a close call — a monitor gets a bit too close. maybe he's saving you, or maybe he's simply getting in your way, but percival lunges forward, as agile on his feet as ever, and brutally drives a dagger right through the chest of a monitor.
crimson stains his hands. well, he's certainly dps alright. ]
There isn't time to waste. Are you injured?
jailbreak (decoy team)
Status report. How is the damage? Are you all in one piece?
post hack/jailbreak (prisoner team + prisoners)
[ the door has been overridden; the infiltration team has surged in, filled to the brim with anxiety and exhilaration. ]
...They're here — go.
[ it's not long before he locates a prisoner, crouching down in an immediate attempt to heave them into his grasp. maybe you'll angrily reject it, an entirely understandable move, but regardless... ]
It's over now. They won't harm you — we won't allow it.
post jailbreak
[ well, they've won. but their work isn't over yet — another challenge for another day.
that day just happens to be today.
so despite their victory, percival is surprisingly weary...not that he'll admit it. ]
Oi. [ he says, meeting your gaze. his arms fold, lips pressing into a thin line. ]
Get some rest; it's been an endeavor, but we will thrive, just as we always have.
wildcard
[ Go nuts! ]
CLOSED TO SIEGFRIED
this entire effort is so woefully messy without his fire. the two of them stained with blood, the first to kill, it's hardly anything new.
of course, bullets are difficult to dodge. so in the midst of the crossfire, there is a muffled yelp — a searing mess of a shoulder in sight as percival clasps his hand over his mouth.
healing. healing, healing, that power of his extends to himself, doesn't it?
but it's embarrassing — disgustingly embarrassing to think of what exactly it would take for it to work. to feel better, to feel something overwhelmingly positive in the heat of battle...
there's only one way. ]

[Madoka, when it's all said and done, is one of the luckier ones — although she hadn't liked using her magic in front of the monitors, it meant that physically, she is pretty much unscathed.]
[and she is fine. she is. there's nothing quite like being separated from your soul for a few hours and being reduced to a hunk of jewelry discarded in a random monitor's desk drawer, but she is fine. a bit disoriented, and equipped with a newfound, healthy sort of fear of feeling absolutely nothing, but she is fine.]
[Madoka's sitting on the ground, back against the wall, waiting patiently. or maybe she's just distracted. there's a small box sitting on the ground next to her feet, but she hasn't bothered to open it.]
b.
[once she's convinced that losing her ring for this long had no adverse effects, Madoka immediately turns her attention to others in the coven. she's long since lost track of the time, but she's almost positive that she still has her heal for the day ready if needed.]
[are you resting? suddenly, there she is, crouched down, silent for a moment, lips pursed, trying to gauge how bad any visible injuries might be.]

content warning: vampire antics / potential gore
[As part of the decoy group, Velvet has seen a lot of action, and she doesn't really mind. Better her than some of the others, though most of those in this group that she's fighting alongside are the sturdy and powerful types. To make sure she doesn't end up a casualty, she's using her Qri-given power for the first time without restraint.
Once the battle is winding down, or directly after the truce is declared, Velvet can be found with an injured monitor pinned to the ground. She has forced the monitor's bleeding arm up and is sucking blood out from the man's open wound; he isn't in much of a position to resist, but he is cursing and whimpering, obviously freaked out. After several seconds, Velvet tosses the arm down and wipes her mouth. The bruises, cuts and other visible injuries on her own body have all but vanished.]
Keep your mouth shut. Your people started this, and you're lucky I'm not doing worse.
[To any coven members nearby, she's still in the mood for a dark quip. She lifts the monitor's arm again.]
Thirsty?
(b. after & closed to cr)
[Once she's healed herself up, Velvet's next priority is to find her, um, acquaintances – she hesitates to use the word friends out of habit. Because of her magic she looks fine, save for her clothes, but one of her legs moves stiffly. She's only just starting to notice the stiffness when she spots someone that she recognizes.]
Glad you survived. Doing alright?
[She blinks and tests her leg. Then she thinks back to a skirmish from earlier. During it she'd been shot there, but the wound…
Oh. Hm. With too casual a tone, she adds:]
I think there's a bullet in my leg.
(ooc: For the second prompt, I'm going to leave the bullet part open for just one character, whoever wants it first. Velvet is going to try to remove it with some not!surgery and ask if that character can provide some blood for her. The generic "how are you doing" prompt is open to any number. PM me if you have any questions.)
b
[ and then she tacks that on. ]
—you?!
[ jude's expression turns to one of deep concern in .2 seconds. he strides over to her, a worried frown tugging at his lips and brows knit. ]
Come with me.
[ there is absolutely no room for argument here. ]

[ Something's going on. He can hear the monitors moving about and yelling outside the cell; seems like the rescuers finally stopped twiddling their thumbs and actually come to their aid. Took them long enough. But better late than never, he supposes, feeling a swell of relief in his chest.
He tries to rise to his feet, but every muscle in his body feel like they have lead weights attached to them; the past fifteen days have been unbearably long, and he's simply too exhausted and too sore to do anything but plop back down on the bed and wait for someone to come and get him out of this awful cell. ]
b. post-jailbreak.
[ Fresh air has never felt so nice before, and he finds himself appreciating the view of the sky as he leaves the building. Still, he's pretty roughed up and is currently in need of some medical attention - come help a pleasant boy out, Jude.
After Jude has patched him up, he can be found looking at his ID card, staring at the flashing text for a long moment. ]
Truce and peaceful eviction, huh. [ He says with an edge of doubt to his voice; he's talking to himself, but it's loud enough for anyone close by to hear. After fifteen days of hell, he's not going to believe for a second that things will be okay. ]
pleasant boy seeking pleasant boy
[ don't worry, pleasant boy. jude is here! and he's looking more than a little concerned. jude's already tended to a few of the others, so this isn't a brand new thing, but with each new prisoner comes new worries, even if their conditions are similar. akechi is no exception.
and jude might not know him as well as, say, haru and madoka, but he knows him to generally be a kind person. and, well... it doesn't matter how well he knows akechi, and whether he's kind or not. nobody deserves to be left in this sort of condition.
so he'll do everything he can. ]
Look at you— come with me. You'll have to forgive me in advance. I don't even have a bed. I do have a first aid kit, some food and water, and a pillow, though. Conditions in Shehui aren't exactly ideal right now.
[ jude, very gently, grasps his wrist, once he's glanced at the area and made sure there were no bruises or other injuries. ]

A. [Helping others without immediate compensation is not usually Valerius’ forte, or really something he does at all. But after silently watching everything come crashing down, carrying others to safety, and using slightly-enchanted supplies to heal a few wounds here and there, he found that perhaps there was a point in doing more than observing.
When he’s nearly blinded by the scarlet message, he squints and sneers.]

[She's been waiting for this; all the prisoners have. Normally Shirley would have felt more frustration over having failed to do anything useful, but with Madoka gone getting out ASAP becomes even more of a priority and she can't feel anything but relief when a rescuer comes to open their cell. She's past exhausted, but manages to summon enough energy to get up and hurry out at slightly above walking speed, giving the person at the door a grateful look.]
Thank you.
[And then she forgets herself and hits her arm against the door frame. That's not pleasant to begin with, but the contact with a recent burn mark makes her stagger and cry out. So much for dignity.]
Post-jailbreak A
[Shirley's sitting mute in wait for medical treatment, not wanting to budge for aggravating any of her injuries. While not cruel, the monitors had been merciless and more than slightly vindictive as they tried to work any hint of her magic out of her stubborn silence, or see what they could make of Ferines biology thanks to her mistake in telling them. Burns, bruises, plenty of needle punctures from things injected or withdrawn...nothing close to life-threatening, but the marks are plenty. They've even cut one of the braids from her hair, something she hasn't quite been able to cover up by redoing the rest.
But she's alive, and everyone else is too. Nobody has been killed this time. Almost one of the better outcomes to such incidents she's seen, Shirley tells herself, so everything is fine in the end. She is fine. She is the Merines. She hears the voice of Nerifes. She is strong. Focusing on that thought, Shirley glares daggers at the wall and repeats the mantra in her head. Or maybe it's not a wall she's glaring at, and an unsuspecting person instead. Sorry.]
Post-jailbreak B
[When the truce message comes, Shirley stares at it for a good minute. Reading. Rereading. Comprehending. Then something snaps, and she chucks her ID card away without thinking. Peace is a lie; it certainly hadn't done Fenimore any favors.
It's a long moment before she remembers herself and gets up to retrieve it, ignoring her bandages and apologizing to anyone in the vicinity.]
Oh. Sorry. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done that.
b.
It's alright. [She picks up Shirley's ID card, holding it out to her as she gets closer.] Here. Although honestly, I don't think we'll be needing these much.

[ jusis was roomed with julius "world eater" visconti, so he doesn't need any help being broken out, exactly. he's a little busted up, but he would never let that stop him!! you can expect him to cover others with his ice, which he has gotten pretty adept with during captivity, maybe make an attempt to use a gun he pilfered off a monitor (??), or cover for him because he's still really exhausted and definitely prone to being caught off-guard. if you have anything else in mind, hit me up! or just throw it at me. whatever's fine. ]

[ he's going to be taking it easy—as much as he can, at least. he'll be hanging out in the Designated Rest Area and avoiding going out of his way to socialize even more than usual, but feel free to ping him, even if he looks even grumpier than he usually does at the moment. he looks especially grumpy when he glances at his id card, but after two weeks in shehui prison, he doesn't think he even wants to comment on it. ]

[ jusis is worse for wear, but he's not anywhere near the level of some of the other twelve, or even some of the coven who infiltrated, so he's just been coping with it while those who require more immediate attention get it. when he thinks one of the medics has a free moment and the worst is over with, he'll be approaching him. ]
Pardon me. If you're not busy, I have some wounds I'd like tended.

— oh! Of course! I'm sorry, I would have checked on you much sooner, but I'm not personally familiar with every one of the chosen twelve...
[ he rubs at the nape of his neck, awkward. ]
... Anyway, I'm Jude. Just come with me.
Will you tell me what hurts? I've seen a pretty interesting combination of different injuries, so knowing right off the bat helps a bit.

The metal of the blade glows blue when handled. He turns it sideways and catches Riza's approach in the reflective surface. He sets the weapon down in front of him and twists to watch her come his way. Soreness from being hit with numerous bullets has set in by now and he moves gingerly. As battered as he looks he still smiles easily.]
Hey. I've got an extra water bottle if you need it.
[He's not surprised to see her up and about. Still, Shiro studies her carefully. If she needs rest he'll urge her to do it. Sometimes work, duty and even friends can wait.]

[Orga is used to being personally unarmed. Back home, it's purposeful. His hands had always been kept clean, even though it was his own orders that had drawn blood, and this was so he could remain viable as a diplomatic face to the company. Tekkadan itself had been, by extension, his own weapon, the handgun kept on Mika's person and all of the mobile suits they had at their disposal only an imperative away from lethal use. It had made sense, and he had never felt defenseless despite not carrying a weapon on his own person.
It's different here.
More than once in interrogation (and afterward, licking wounds in the room that served as his cell) he'd found himself grateful to the members of the First Corps. They more than anything else about the CGS taught him how to endure pain. He started to think that the monitors disliked their little meetings more than he did, perhaps in hot water due to their lack of results. Orga seems less likely to break now than he did the first time, sometimes silent but mostly being very critical about whole this whole operation was being handled.
Something's off today, though. At one point the monitor steps away, as if listening to something an earpiece, and then leaves the room without a word.] Okay. [He's left to sit, lip bleeding, one eyelid drooping due to a contusion over his brow beginning to swell, all with his hands tied behind the chair. He'd heard rumors through the mental grapevine that those on the outside might be doing something about all this today. Good. Finally.
Then there's a lot of noise. As he is, in his secluded room, he can't make heads or tails of most of it. Not until someone unlocks the door, immediately looks down the hall towards what sounds like a loud altercation, and calls for him to follow. Before just running off.
Orga's left silent for a moment, dumbfounded, before he calls out,] Oi. Need a little help here!
[Only distant noise from what he assumes is fighting. Great.
After a moment:] Hey!
[Because surely someone would actually finish what'd been started, here.]
POST-JAILBREAK
[Orga squints at the message as it slowly scrolls across the screen that had been, up until this point, completely blacked out.
He gives a single sardonic laugh as the message resolves.]
Truce, huh. [Said aloud, to whomever else might observe it.] Is that what they're calling it.
WILDCARD
[Anything else!]

The facility is bigger than he initially assumed for it to be, and to anyone else the myriad of corridors and doors that all look the same might prove to be a challenge. Mika in this moment is methodical and sure, the gun that's normally tucked away hidden in his sling held ready in his good hand, plain in sight to threaten or to fulfil the purpose for which it'd been given to him.
Peering around the corner of one such corridor, Mika finds it empty of guards. That doesn't mean there won't be any hiding around any corners in ambush though...
He takes one step, then another, and freezes in his tracks.
Hey!
Was that a phantom echo through the link embedded in his chest, or was that a real, breathing voice somewhere far off, a fragmented trace of it among all the chaos? Nevertheless, he knows the source of it. He would know that voice anywhere.
Orga, he thinks, and the sudden exhilarating relief that spreads like a tingle of electricity through his body goes completely unnoticed by him as he quickens his steps. ]

[ Being a decoy, she thinks, fits her well. She can attract attention like nobody's business, and her entire job is to make sure she takes the attention (and hits) from those they would otherwise be targeting. She is a weapon. She is made to fight.
But Aigis does not kill, of course. She incapacitates whenever possible, whether it's by shooting rubber bullets from her fingertips, tranquilizer darts, or even knocking weapons from the monitors' hands by flinging a pebble or button (or other small miscellany) with enough force at just the right angle, she is clearly making the conscious decision to avoid taking any lives. Even her gunshots from her fingertips are more like warning shots, impeccably precise as to conveniently miss targets that would prove fatal. But in order to draw their attention and keep their (futile) efforts on her, she has to make sure that they stay under the idea that she can be taken down by human means, give them some hope that they can subdue her so it doesn't seem like the pointless task it actually is, so she does not go all out. Yet.
And of course, there are her shields, magic as they may be. Not for herself, her chassis allows bullets and the like to practically bounce off of her, but for other, squishier fellow coven members she may be fighting with. Need a breather to reload? Shield's there. Under more fire than expected? Shield's there. And so on. ]
Please tell me if you need assistance or healing.

[ The card bleeps, and the letters are unmissable. She has no intention of trusting the words of people who would capture and experiment on others (it hits too close to home for her, mostly because of her sister admittedly), but... ]
...At least they gave us advance warning of what they plan to do with us.
[ Small blessings, if they can even call it that.
And then she looks down at the bottom half of her tattered, torn, black longcoat. Shot at by bullets that bounced off her metal body, slightly singed from the embers of her own firepower and occasional use of her rocket-legs. Said very much non-human legs are in full display now. ]
...Ah. I will also need to find new clothing before we are evicted.

[ Anything goes! Catch her testing her robot joints for creakiness and damage, trying to check up on others, staring at anyone for an inordinate amount of time before reading their vital signs aloud, etc. The sky's the limit. ]

I didn't bring my extra wardrobe supplies though, sorry. They're at the edge of the city.
