[WORLD TWO | JAILBREAK]

[ Fifteen days ago, twelve members of the coven were selected to be captured and put under major scrutiny by the Shehui government. Today, they become freed.

Well, that's a pretty dramatic tag line for it all, but it's a dramatic moment isn't it? The coven members who have been taken have been subjected to some pretty hideous conditions, and their captivity and abuse has been reported to their fellow members via telepathy. With this information, and even just the knowledge that coven members have been taken at all, a plan of attack has been orchestrated.

Whether or not you're actively involved in this plan, the effects will likely be noticed immediately -- but it's up to fellow coven members to decide just how wide spread their pandemonium is. SImply put, there will be distracting forces and also those who go in for attack. Helpers and fighters. It's up to you what hand you have in helping your fellow man! ]

( ooc: Since there are a lot of different roles that can't be subsidized to their own prompts, the main given prompts in the log will be for pre- and during the jailbreak. You can have multiple prompts that take place in both situations in the event you have a multi-tiered role.

pre-jailbreak: Anything not directly involved with the government porthole location OR something leading up to the onslaught at the porthole.

during the jailbreak: Directly at the porthole and/or inside of the government hall, so labeled Lower Admin Hall C with a large connecting and locked door in a room that leads to Lower Admin Hall D. )

Let it be known that the monitors won't go down without a fight. No upper level government employees show their face, but when attacked monitors will indeed go in for the kill. However, they are initially taken by surprised. They aren't aware that their technology can be hacked, or that they have a large force that's about to come in against them.

If a monitor is felled, it's possible to take their ID card and use it to break prisoners free. They will all have clearance to access holding rooms, as well as testing centers and interrogation rooms. Use these keys to find coven members -- but characters will also find more monitors as they go through the hall.

Because this is a lower level administration area, searching the place won't find much in the way of information. This is something of the equivalent of a government prison. Weapons, medicine, files on ALL coven members (which can be taken), and similar items can be found. What's certainly more interesting is found in Lower Admin Hall D.

---

hacking results: Capable hackers like 9S will be able to hack into the entrance of the government building eventually, which allows for an easier flow of movement in and out. This won't be the only reward reaped from the hacking: there are tons of locked archives that are concealed within the Shehui mainframe. Most are boring, governmental gobbledygooks, aptly named things like watersystem//upperdeck and the like. Three offer some intriguing information, titled contrabandlist//highlevel, adminhalld//accessrequirementoverride and notefile//banned//writtenrecord.

The first two archives are much easier to crack open and give information as follows (with irrelevant information omitted):

contrabandlist//highlevel
  • Four (4) small bone fragments, electrical in nature. Dangerous ##04. Contraband Room 5.
  • One (1) inanimate golden box. [MODIFICATION: When collected, box was magic in nature. Expended Three (3) smooth black stones predetermined to be filled with void magic in opening said golden box for investigation. Not currently deemed dangerous. Contraband Room 1.
  • > RETRIEVAL: One (1) body from inanimate golden box. Still living, suspended animation. Held in Contraband Room 4. DO NOT INCLUDE OTHER CONTRABAND. CONTRABAND ROOM 4 NOW OFF LIMITS FOR NEW MATERIAL.
  • > DETAIL: Clothed. Height: [measurement translation to 6' 3"]. Weight: Indeterminate. Dangerous ##77. Antima Formula RE5 inserted in constant IV. No obvious name, planetary association.

    adminhalld//accessrequirementoverride
  • This archive contains a program that can be transferred from ID card to ID card. Anyone who has this .exe in their ID card can give it to someone else. This will grant access to all Lower Admin Hall D rooms, including contraband rooms -- there are six in total. These rooms can also be looted! All magical items within these rooms won't be immediately obvious in how they are magical, but there are plenty of items there that may be looted.

    notefile//banned//writtenrecord
  • ????

new objective: jailbreak qri Utilizing this new information, coven members have the opportunity to find Qri and her golden box. While the box does seem somewhat non threatening and useless, unbeknownst to coven members it does contain void properties that allow Qri to use it as a space pocket for all the coven's shit. If you left it in the box, then you're shit out of luck if the box doesn't come to. Qri is surprisingly light, but still unconscious. Because of her size and condition, it will likely take more than one person to move her...but her body may potentially be a good meeting point for coven members. The room is isolated, and she's somewhat awe-inspiring being a large, albino-alien lady.

    ---

post-jailbreak There's certainly a hullabaloo going on in the government building as the coven members try to fight to take their monitors. One thing is for certain -- there's no going back, now.

After a while, all coven member IDs go black -- including those belonging to uninvolved parties. For some, this is only temporary. Shehui is watching, and they know who they can potentially make loyal. However, anyone involved in the break-in, as well as the Chosen 12, their IDs will remain black. All credits have been taken and their capability to unlock any door will be removed.

Suddenly the fuzzy black cards begin to emit a high-pitched noise. All monitors still underground and alive will immediately freeze at the noise. The black ID cards will begin to flash a very blinding, red message:

    TRUCE
    ALL STAND DOWN
PEACEFUL EVICTION INITIATED: [TRANSLATED DATE: 20TH]
NO MORE HARM WILL COME TO YOU HERE

No matter where they are, monitors all standing completely still, hands up in surrender. Take a few more shots at them if you dare -- they won't defend themselves. Though your credits may be frozen and your identification marked, this is a war you've won. This war anyway. This war, here. ]

[ Well, the situation seems to have cooled down somewhat. Emphasis on "somewhat", due to the rather dubious message that's popped up...which was interesting to say the least. ]

    Apparently so.

Maybe one of their people thought if they attempted to phrase it like that it wouldn't upset anyone.

[ Said with only a modicum of seriousness...because honestly. ]

[The actual fighting had calmed down at the very least. Those that had stormed the building where Orga and he others had been held had left, carrying in tow what seemed to be a bunch of stuff. Orga hadn't gotten a good eye on all of it, but rumors were they'd found something relating to the witch? He hadn't expected that, but hell, two birds with one stone.

He glances to his side to see the man he'd spoken with outside the apartments some time back. Orga's time with the monitors shows itself plainly: to say he's a little roughed up might be an understatement. It doesn't seem to inhibit him much, though; honestly, he'd faced much worse. He's just soldiering through it until he could treat most of the basic stuff as best he could.

He laughs, though he has to cut it off ahead of time due to an ache in his ribs.]

If that's the case, they did a piss-poor job. "Peaceful evacuation," huh? Give me a break.

[That and "no harm will come to you here" seemed like something you'd read above the door of a particularly crafty lion's den. How stupid did they think they were?]

Well, [said as half a grunt,] at least they know better than to mess with us now.

[ Siegfried does give the other man a quick look over to quietly take in his state -- it wouldn't be a surprise that any of them came out with quite some wear and tear. The brunette, however, had heard of those being imprisoned not exactly having a good time of things even before they had arrived to break them out. Well, at the very least if anything happened and he needed further assistance with his wounds, Siegfried was right here.

    For now, anyway. ]

I imagine that they never spent much time on any diplomatic lessons they might have taken.

[ If they had at all. ]

That seems to be the case. Though, with all that I've seen, I wouldn't be surprised if they attempted something else. Not now, but...

    [ He gives a bit of a shrug. ]

[Some of them hadn't gotten this sort of treatment. That was good. Some of them had been kids. Not that that had ever saved Orga from similar treatment, growing up in the CGS, but the people he and the other kids of the Third Group had worked with had been some real pieces of work, plenty willing to take out their frustration in cruel ways. Nothing had happened to him that wouldn't mend with time and a little care. It was just the lingering frustrations of it all, of his freedom having been clipped so severely. He'd never been a captive like that for so long. He didn't have much positive to say about it.

He shakes his head, giving a long-suffering sigh.]
If that's the case, doesn't say much for the governing body of such a big city.

[But neither does kidnapping several people in broad daylight.]

If they do, it won't be so obvious. The public's gonna buy into this, if they're still trying to maintain their spotless image. We're going to have to keep a wary eye around the apartment building. All we've really got on our side is our wariness and ability to act if we need to.

[ Siegfried wasn't pleased about children being swept up in this message for obvious reasons -- the powers that be in this city certainly didn't discriminate between ages when they wanted to do things their way. Another telling sign of how this government operates and how far they were willing to go to get what they wanted. Never exactly a good thing, even if they've managed to make them stop (for now) in their brutish attempts at information extraction.

He'll nod at the man's first words, but it may as well as have been at the rest of what he had to say as well. It's clear to him that someone high up in this government wouldn't know the meaning of subtle even if it smacked them in the face. ]

Considering their resources, it shouldn't be hard for them to keep up the facade.

...Well, it seems like it's going to be just a waiting game. It's also reasonable to assume that they're not going to try the kidnapping angle again unless they think they can get away with it this time.

[They may have stymied their efforts for now, but the message assures him they'll be back at it again soon enough. Their capture and interrogation had been their idea of "peaceful," only turning rough when the more polite coercion didn't work as intended. He doesn't have high hopes that this "peaceful" evacuation will remain so, especially when the government had made it so apparent that they were an unwanted faction within its walls and the coven made it clear they weren't backing down.]

Yeah. [He does not seem happy about it. Orga hates the waiting game.] It's been nothing but a whole lot of waiting around since we got here. I hope we usually don't feel so powerless in... whatever it is the hell we're doing after this.

[Magic? Witch? Something? It still sounds like some kid's fairy tale to him, even though he's living it with his own powers.]

Considering the state we left that prison in, they won't have any place to put us even if they do. Not unless they've got another one lying around. [He does seem pretty proud of this, however... Just a little bit of vindictiveness.]

So. Another few weeks of uncomfortable stalemate. Should be a blast.

[ Siegfried isn't very much a fan of the whole "waiting game" thing, either. Don't get him wrong, he's still grateful they were able to do something in regards to foil this set up the government had pulled with kidnapping and interrogating people. However, knowing that this wasn't going to be the last of whatever they may have up their sleeves meant the most they could do was just brace themselves for what is to come. Besides, of course, the fact that there would be an evication.

And even though they've been able to do something else besides bust people out of their jails, standing around in an uneasy situation was never easy. ]

    Hopefully not.

[ He smiled wryly for a brief moment at that. He's the type of person who wouldn't put it past governments to have more than one secret prison, but that being said, he is actually glad that it ended up in the state it did now. ]

...And I suppose putting up a sign that read "Get it over with" wouldn't exactly be appreciated.

[Orga would like to return everything that'd been done to him tenfold, rammed down the throat of whomever would disrupt this place the most. Crack the damn thing like an egg, watch what spilled out. That's his emotional impulse, however, reigned in by the framework of logical thought that kept him simmering and seething, waiting and watching.

He smiles at Siegfried's comment, laughing - it seems to pain him, one hand placed to his aching ribs as the other waves at him, diffusing whatever concerned might've arisen. He finds his composure after a moment.]
No, no I don't think it would be. Though I'd prefer that, at this point.

[Enough with the waiting. If they were going to shoot them into space or something, have the decency to do it now.

    Speaking of now:]

Oi. [He tilts his head as he addresses him a little more directly.] I don't want to dwell on it, but my situation has been less than ideal for the last few days. You eat? Drink? Because we should do that.

[ It did paint a sort of funny image, if only in the event Siegfried could see their reactions to see a thing. In the moment where the man did appear to be troubled by his own laughing, he almost says something, but the waving does make him rethink that.

He blinks at the sudden offer. It's been some time since he's drank with anyone -- or, hell, it's been a bit since he's had a chance to drink by even himself. He just hasn't had the opportunity, nor thought of it. Though he has occasionally eaten with his friends. Still, it's not something he's against as he considers it could something nice to do after all of what had happened, and he smiles a little at the thought. ]

    I do both.

That said, I'll gladly take you up on the offer. It'd be a good chance to wind down from everything...though it has been awhile since I've had a drink.

[ Siegfried doesn't inquiry as to why the man's situation had been worse for wear -- the reason being quite obvious, after all. ]
