[WORLD TWO | THE OTHER HALF]
Who: Others not on the list of the Chosen 12
Where: Around Shehui
When:
Open/Closed: Open to All, though top levels shouldn't be made by Chosen 12 members -- however, direct telepathy links can be sent to Chosen 12 members, and Chosen 12 members can respond to open telepathy prompts. This post is meant more for those who aren't part of the Chosen 12 so they can react with others or plot their next move.
[ While your name isn't on the list that has been circulating, it doesn't mean that you're unaffected by this issue. Did someone you know -- someone you have a fondness for, perhaps? -- wind up on that list? And did they manage to evade the monitors or have they been captured?
You may have the resources to do something about it, or you may want to stay out of harm's way. Either way, changes are on the horizon -- and that horizon is now looming closer than ever before. ]

[while he doesn't usually voice his displeasure loudly and publicly, the scroll of faces on the ID does get a pretty audible rise out of Vern, especially since it happens when he's taking care of something in the coven's building while Geir wanders. it doesn't reach everyone, but certainly if you're coming in from outside, or hanging about on the lower floors, you're treated to a very brief, furious telepathic crackle of:]
Gods be damned.
[unhelpful, but possibly relateable]
ii.
[not too much later, when he's gotten himself back under control and there's been confirmation that at least some of the Suddenly Most Wanted have been nabbed, he does send a very neutral message their way]
How are you? Are you able to give us any details that would help us get you out?

[ wow! this blows. ]
They've detected our signet, but it appears as though they can't monitor what exactly we're communicating.
We can't remain idle — and we won't. I'm on the recreational floor — if you've any interest in pursuing this, see me.
Exercise caution. All of you. Watch one another.
And Siegfried: I expect to see you first.
[ and lo and behold, he will be there if you choose to show up. ]
B.
If you can hear this, describe where you're being held — we need a location. Don't lose hope. We're still here.

[Since it happened in an incredibly public place, anyone who witnesses this scene can be certain that there is aftermath.
Dia herself looks upset, stunned, and unsure of what to do next. But who can blame her? She just had her younger sister ripped away from her in broad daylight. That in itself is pretty traumatizing.
If anyone tries to approach her afterwards, she's silent and looks almost inconsolable. She hasn't had the time to really process what happened at this very second.]
b) telepathy
How are we going to get them back? I...can't do much myself. But I need to see that my sister is safe and that everyone else returns unharmed as well.
[The emotion, decidedly....is anger. She can't do much to help. But she will go along with any plan to get everyone back. Especially Ruby.]

[ A kidnapping situation? Surprisingly not that new to Aigis. It still stings though, even if she's not familiar with most of them. But this is no time to be standing around and shuffling feet when there's things to do and people who have been forcibly taken. ]
Does anyone have any idea of where the captured could have been taken?
If not, can anyone provide their last locations, and what they may be able to do, magic or not?
[ For instance, Geir's a dragon. Probably can do a little more than a squishy human. ]
b;
[ By now, she's fully shifted into Professional Mode (tm). Her voice isn't cold however, merely calm and steady. ]
Hello? Can you hear me? If you can, could you please identify yourself? Name and physical appearance. And the magic you use, if you can.
[ Start things off small. Have something doable they can focus on and keep calm. They might not need a head count since they know 12 were taken, but being able to put names to appearances to voices (for telepathy's sake), to people, to abilities, and whatnot will allow for easier coordination, whether in the heat of the moment or not. And of course, knowing what those taken can do is also useful. ]

[ telepathy for all ]
[ it's a fairly remarkable punch to the gut feeling, that happens, when roy sees riza's name on the list. the feeling of some powerful overlord dragging you into their specific court isn't a new feeling, but it's the same sinking, skin-crawling, anxious pit in his stomach as it was when the investigations surrounding maes were going on, and when the fuhrer tore his team apart to send a message, and when the homunculi separated them again.
riza hawkeye and roy mustang aren't meant to be separated. they have an agreement.
so when he sees her name on the list, he immediately goes to find her. and can't. he practically tears apart where she was staying, systematically asks questions of every passerby who may have seen her, only to have nothing. nothing. and then the messages start pouring in, and roy posits an open message: ]
Any information possible on the whereabouts of those taken would be appreciated, otherwise I'm going to follow the trail of dead bodies that surely accompanied whoever was stupid enough to take Riza Hawkeye.
b.
[ roughly an hour later, a message targeted to said riza hawkeye: ]
I'm on my way.

[The capture of allies isn't the sort of thing an android can simply ignore. What's more, their core programming rails against actions taken against the race that created them, and that leaves the local YoRHa units with more than enough reason to set out. They're not the sort to waste time, not when it matters.
And so 9S heads to their agreed-upon meeting place and waits for 2B and A2. Since they were guests he regrets not further outfitting their new clothing, beyond what their standard-issue attire had been capable of. Now they're dealing with hostiles of unknown capability, with technology far superior to the Uvi.
Inferior to them, certainly, but they can't be sure to what degree yet. It's an uneasy thought, not knowing. They need more data. 9S' posture and movement alike are pensive as he paces, quite sure he won't be waiting long and yet uneasy all the same.
Why did Julius willingly go with them...?]
[B]etter Prepared
[It surely can't be said that anyone likes being caught off-guard. But for 9S the failure to prepare for the possibility that people among their ranks might be abducted weighs heavily on his mind. When he isn't scouring the city with 2B and A2, he can be found hunkered in his room.
The door isn't locked, and the click and clatter and occasional electronic crackle can be heard clearly through the door as he works. Androids can more easily find each other, but it's difficult to find organic beings.
That is of course unless he develops a way, and that's exactly what he's doing. Anyone who investigates will find him in the midst of various parts and tools spread in a wide array around him, and 9S works busily with devices that seem incredibly small upon close inspection.
He's so focused he won't notice anyone approach]
Remote [C]ontact
[9S might not be a particular fan of using the telepathy their signets enable, but in this case it seems necessary. There are those whom they cannot reach, at least not right now, and while that leaves him with a mounting unease he's only further determined to do something about it]
We might as well use this network to share data. If anyone can think of relevant details, I can record and distribute them so we're working with the same information. In a situation like this, it seems like we're going to need it.
Also, if anyone can think of equipment they may need, let me know.
[Keeping busy seems far preferable to the alternative]

But what interested him more was the possibilities surrounding the event; who could possibly be so bold as to take that many people? What were their souls like? He needed to know. So he ventured]
Would anyone happen to have any leads yet on who’s responsible? Perhaps it’s too early to say, but I’m curious…
