[WORLD ONE] SPEED DATING EXTRAVAGANZA
Who: Participating coven members
Where: The Palai marketplace
When: Day 49
Open/Closed: OTA
[ Any and all who are in the marketplace will find that there is suddenly a mysterious barrier around the marketplace (that may be eerily familiar to some) -- specifically one large portion of the marketplace with a large number of tables and chairs, perhaps purposefully set out for nefarious reasons.
A few Palai are ushering coven members to chairs, and everything seems about normal. As normal as the Palai can be when they're putting on a show anyway. It's not until a sizable portion of the coven members are seated (and also supplied with breadsticks and small shrimp), that things get a bit more bizarre.
Thanks to the power of the Eltos, a small band of energy keeps coven members stuck to the chair (magic can interfere, of course), but that's not the end of it. On each table, next to those delicious smelling breadsticks and shrimp, is a bowl of scraps of papers. Every five minutes, a strip of paper will pop out from the bowl.
If you ask the Palai, they'll be inclined to explain speed dating to you. Asking questions, getting to know a person, then being shimmied off to the next potential mate -- this is made possible by Elto magic yet again, through flying chairs that transport their holder to a new table at standard intervals.
The Palai are extremely invested in this exercise? Will you let them down? ]
[ OOC: In the spirit of speed dating, each character will have a top level. All who want to respond to this top level can with questions from this post, but the threads have to end at 10 comments from each character. After this last tag, the characters can be assumed to have been whisked to a different potential match. You're free to have characters make up their own questions, interact with Palai serving food, etc. ]

Some androids, I guess. 9S is quite sociable. [Even if the idea of a human befriending an android is still baffling to her, and likely for him as well.] As for myself... I'm not opposed to having friends.
[Jude was certainly determined to be friends with her at least. It's just... new to her. Different. She knows what partners and comrades and allies and acquaintances are, but she's not sure if she'd describe any of them as a friend. It seemed to either convey too little or not enough for the androids she knew.]
sorry for late reply, computer broke :(
He is! He has a knack at answering questions in a way that's super understandable. I had a lot of fun talking to him about you and your world. I never expected to find more of your kind around. You are both so pretty!
[She is never going to get over the thought of them being very beautiful. Whoever designed them must have had a lot of love for them. At the very least, it is the thought she was given after meeting them.]
I'm really glad! But give yourself some credit too. I think you're pretty easy to talk to, 2B. I just know we'll have a lot of fun exploring other worlds together. All of us as a group. Everyone seems to be really nice, you know.
[As far as Nike knows, everyone has been nothing but kind to each other. It wouldn't surprise her if there were more people trying to befriend 2B and 9S. By 9S's bashful reactions to being complimented, she could tell he was being genuine about his surprise over the matter. It was clear they were both interested in getting to know other better. Which Nike will have no issue in wanting to help them experience the different aspects of relationships.]
annnnd still no worries!
Oh. Well... Thank you. You're quite beautiful yourself. [Just the honest truth as far as she's concerned!] I'm glad you enjoyed speaking with 9S though.
[But she's not sure how to take Nike saying that she's easy to to too. In order to better serve humanity, she'd prefer it if people saw her as approachable at least, but she also knows that she's pretty taciturn on her own. 9S is a far easier person to talk to, she knows. Even if she appreciates the compliment, she's not sure if she can really bring herself to agree with it.
So she bypasses it entirely, focusing on the rest of what she said instead. It's a sentiment she knows she agrees with, after all.]
Likewise. The people I've met have all been very interesting thus far. I'm looking forward to... exploring other worlds together. [It's still a crazy idea to consider, but it really looks like this is the life she'll be leading from now on.]
no subject
What should she do? How to react?]
....th-th-th-th... [Oh no, she's tongue tied on trying to show her gratitude to the other woman. It may take her a while to snap out of it. A good slap to her cheeks, even.] Thank...you....?
[Hands will quickly find themselves on her mouth realizing just how rude she was reacting right now. It was clear she was trying too hard. Overwhelming so in trying to make a good impression on the other android.
It was a good thing she agreed with her initial response in wanting to travel to other worlds with everyone. There may be some relieve to know that she had a good impression of everyone as much as she did. She decided to concentrate her attention on that topic than anything else.]
Of course! 9S is a really good boy. I really like him. His blindfold kinda gave him away that he was related to you though. [She knew upon first sight.] We'll have a lot of fun. I can't wait to visit the next world. But, just so you know, if you need help in getting out jams --be it from distracting locals or enemies-- let me know and I'll come over to help you out.
[More like 2B will save her, but those details can be ignored in favor of wanting to help her new friend out.]
no subject
That's very kind of you to offer, thank you. Although you don't have to if you don't want to. [There'll probably be a lot of social and cultural problems she'll run into, thanks to knowing so little about this stuff, but she doesn't want Nike to feel obligated about helping her. Androids might be obligated to help humans, but she doesn't think it's the same the other way around.] But likewise, if there's anything you ever need assistance with, just let me know and I'll come right away.
no subject
[It was all he can say on the matter as she doesn't understand the reason 2B didn't think she wanted to. The idea of having someone to watch out for was something she really liked to do. It'll help in distracting her from thinking too deeply about her home, her family, and her responsibilities. After all, she did make a promise to a certain precocious brat that she would never leave their side as long as they remain king. How can she keep her promise when she was in another world?
She needs to forget those thoughts, if she wanted to be of use to anyone.
2B's own response was enough to pull her back from her mind. A smile spreading as she can't help wonder if it would be okay to make a promise with her.]
Do you want to pinkie promise it to seal the deal in always helping each other whenever one of us needs it?
[Did andriods even do those? Pinkie promises. She couldn't help feel curious about it.]

[And pinkie here refers to their fingers, right?? Maybe she's just assuming, but that's all she can think of. Or maybe it's in reference to the color pink. That makes even less to her though.]
