[ Any and all who are in the marketplace will find that there is suddenly a mysterious barrier around the marketplace (that may be eerily familiar to some) -- specifically one large portion of the marketplace with a large number of tables and chairs, perhaps purposefully set out for nefarious reasons.

A few Palai are ushering coven members to chairs, and everything seems about normal. As normal as the Palai can be when they're putting on a show anyway. It's not until a sizable portion of the coven members are seated (and also supplied with breadsticks and small shrimp), that things get a bit more bizarre.

Thanks to the power of the Eltos, a small band of energy keeps coven members stuck to the chair (magic can interfere, of course), but that's not the end of it. On each table, next to those delicious smelling breadsticks and shrimp, is a bowl of scraps of papers. Every five minutes, a strip of paper will pop out from the bowl.

If you ask the Palai, they'll be inclined to explain speed dating to you. Asking questions, getting to know a person, then being shimmied off to the next potential mate -- this is made possible by Elto magic yet again, through flying chairs that transport their holder to a new table at standard intervals.

The Palai are extremely invested in this exercise? Will you let them down? ]

[ OOC: In the spirit of speed dating, each character will have a top level. All who want to respond to this top level can with questions from this post, but the threads have to end at 10 comments from each character. After this last tag, the characters can be assumed to have been whisked to a different potential match. You're free to have characters make up their own questions, interact with Palai serving food, etc. ]

[ Oh dear yes hello boar friend. What a match up this is. Sora is so confused by that question and it shows clearly on his face. Honestly he can't tell whether it's related to how they met either. Do boars have ham? Sora doesn't know. ]

Is that really something you ask people before you date them?

[ He can't even answer the question he's too baffled. ]

[ his expression hasn't changed; as cool as a cucumber, still nibbling on his breadstick. ]

Maybe [ a beat. ] Sometimes. So do you not like it?

[ he shrugs and actually reaches for one of pieces of paper. ]

Ah.... "What's your idea of a perfect first date?"

It's all right, I guess. [ It's food, so that just by default means it's enjoyable anyway. He's just so confused by the question still.

But then Akira actually pulls one of those questions and asks it and his face maybe goes a little red but also he remains confused. This whole situation is so weird. ]

You're — You're taking this seriously? [ That's how he's acting!!

Sora is clearly a little flustered just thinking about the question, and he crosses his arms and looks down in an attempt to look chill and like he's mulling it over. ]

I-I dunno, I've never had one.

[ He definitely has ideas that come to mind such as sharing a paopu fruit and things but NOT SAYING THAT!! ]

[actus]

[ he's such a great actor. there's not enough money in the world for akira to truly take this seriously. that's just not how he rolls; apparently he's more of a romantic at heart than he realized? ]

They're fun.

[ he says it flatly, hand reaching up to fiddle with his bangs. ]

[ at least the question was tame and asked about dates. anything else and he'd be a ship lost at sea, just like sora. ]

[ Blushing ... a little ... because he thought about it okay. This isn't fair!! Donald and Goofy aren't even here to tease him and he's still having a hard time. ]
