[A | Flower Gleam and Glow]
[The nearby moon is still passing close to the hub island, meaning the effects are still in play. Perhaps now is the time to stop and smell the large lit up sparkling moonflowers that have bloomed? Or be annoyed by the mosquito-like insects that came with them.

Alternatively, the deer seem to draw some sort of energy from the moon's light. Given their size, at least their sudden aggression and proximity to the base camp isn't the worst thing in the world but a kick would still break a rib or other bone so be careful! Possibly help each other deal with these cute but troublesome fauna.]



[B | Eavesdropping]
[For some reason, the telepathy will suddenly get rather wonky. Characters won't know why it's happening, though of course no doubt there will be ponderings, but it means characters won't be in control of their ability to broadcast — or more specifically, not broadcast — their thoughts. Time to find out secrets of an embarrassing nature. Or maybe something sadder is going on in your character's head.

If this wasn't bad enough, the area around the signet might experience burning or tingling. Just try to keep a lid on your brain for the day and distract yourself from any annoying pain.]



[C | Talking In Your Sleep]
[Or maybe your character just doesn't have the most interesting thoughts. Maybe they're busy thinking about pie instead of their upsetting childhood. That's fair. Pie is great.

But surely sometimes it haunts their dreams. With the telepathy running amuck, it's no wonder dreams and nightmares are leaking through, too. Of course, it doesn't have to be an accident. Feel free to grab a friend and share a fanciful dreamscape together on purpose! But for those nuts that are tougher to crack, accidents can and will happen.]



[D | Who You Gonna Call]
[Last but not least, as Friday rolls around, there seems to be something odd going on with the island. If your character is inclined towards the spiritual or supernatural, they'll no doubt notice the strange heavy thickness hanging around. There are whispers in the air and all of new energy just feels solemn. Might be good to give people a heads up and keep an eye on it.]

[what a nice person to meet out of the blue like this. it's an odd sort of meeting, however, since flynn can't ever recall seeing him prior. the more he sits here, the more evident it becomes that this place is a dream and the more confused he is about where they could've possibly met before.]

Do you live out here, Shiro?

[He glances about the sandy area and nothing feels familiar. It hasn’t this whole time but now it sinks in.]

I was about to ask you where we are. I don’t even remember how I got here.

This is the city of Mantaic on the Desier continent.

[flynn frowns. most people would know that just from the sand alone...]

If you don't remember how you got here then what was the last thing you do recall?

[It takes him a moment to think back. Hadn't he been laying down to sleep with a note to try something in the morning? Or?]

I was laying down for a bit. I've been doing training to better use new abilities and part of that is night training. ...how far is Mantaic from any forests?

The closest forests are beyond the mountains...

[and, from the sound of it, shiro wasn't in the middle of doing any mountain hiking before arriving here. wait... flynn quirks a brow.]

What new abilities?

[There's a trail through his memories, but he can't quite grasp what it is.]

...I don't remember. It's like there's a gap between then and now. [That isn't unfamiliar to him. His time with the Galra is like that. Shiro shakes his head.]

What's the last thing you remember?

I know I went to sleep, just like I know this is a dream.

[it's okay to tell people in your dream that you're dreaming, right? probably. being honest about it might also help clear things up.]

[spaceforged]

[Shiro blinks at him. The words come out as the last piece he needs falls into place.]

...That's it. [He holds up his robotic hand to forestall any questions as he thinks back over it. With the word dream set down it all comes back.]

My Qri given power is shapeshifting. Night training is necessary to learn how to use it no matter the time of day.

[qri... oh! so someone from the coven appeared in his dreams! that makes more sense. somewhat. enough for him to stop questioning things too much, at least.]

What can you shapeshift into?

Are you familiar with robots or lions? [It vaguely occurs to him one day he’ll run into someone who might have no clue what a lion is. Well, more than one.]

Yeah, I know what both of those are.

[they have lions and blastia-based robots back home, though he lacks too much knowledge past the basics about either one.]

Well, I can shapeshift into- Actually, let me just show you. [He gets up and moves far enough away that he won't squish Flynn when he changes. In a blink, a horse sized robot lion stretches from tail to nose.]

[oh. wow. that explains the odd question about knowing what a lion and robot are. witnessing the transformation and seeing what it ends up being takes flynn by surprise. it completely shows on his face with how wide-eyed he looks as he takes in this... lion robot form?]

...Do you gain any additional abilities while like this?

I don’t need to breathe and I think once I figure it out I can fly. All the other systems the Black Lion has seem to be offline.

[He pads over to resume his seat beside Flynn. He turns glowing yellow eyes on him and lays down completely.]

I’m pretty sturdy. If you need to close in on an enemy I can provide you moving cover.
