[A | Flower Gleam and Glow]
[The nearby moon is still passing close to the hub island, meaning the effects are still in play. Perhaps now is the time to stop and smell the large lit up sparkling moonflowers that have bloomed? Or be annoyed by the mosquito-like insects that came with them.

Alternatively, the deer seem to draw some sort of energy from the moon's light. Given their size, at least their sudden aggression and proximity to the base camp isn't the worst thing in the world but a kick would still break a rib or other bone so be careful! Possibly help each other deal with these cute but troublesome fauna.]



[B | Eavesdropping]
[For some reason, the telepathy will suddenly get rather wonky. Characters won't know why it's happening, though of course no doubt there will be ponderings, but it means characters won't be in control of their ability to broadcast — or more specifically, not broadcast — their thoughts. Time to find out secrets of an embarrassing nature. Or maybe something sadder is going on in your character's head.

If this wasn't bad enough, the area around the signet might experience burning or tingling. Just try to keep a lid on your brain for the day and distract yourself from any annoying pain.]



[C | Talking In Your Sleep]
[Or maybe your character just doesn't have the most interesting thoughts. Maybe they're busy thinking about pie instead of their upsetting childhood. That's fair. Pie is great.

But surely sometimes it haunts their dreams. With the telepathy running amuck, it's no wonder dreams and nightmares are leaking through, too. Of course, it doesn't have to be an accident. Feel free to grab a friend and share a fanciful dreamscape together on purpose! But for those nuts that are tougher to crack, accidents can and will happen.]



[D | Who You Gonna Call]
[Last but not least, as Friday rolls around, there seems to be something odd going on with the island. If your character is inclined towards the spiritual or supernatural, they'll no doubt notice the strange heavy thickness hanging around. There are whispers in the air and all of new energy just feels solemn. Might be good to give people a heads up and keep an eye on it.]

[ROLLS WITH THE BANDWAGON, for the telepathy prompt, 2B's thoughts can range from one to three levels: 1) harmless and curious about mundane human things; 2) mildly depressing existentialism; 3) mind-destroying crushing self-loathing and guilt. a. (not so) secretly sentimental

[It's hard not to be reminded of lunar tears with these flowers blooming in the moonlight. Granted, it's not like 2B had ever even seen the moon at night before coming here, so she doesn't actually know if lunar tears grew best in the dark and under the moon. They certainly thrived in dark areas at least. Seeing the flowers here though, she thinks it would've been nice to see those other flowers in the night too. There's something quite beautiful about it.

They make her wish 6O was here, honestly. She'd probably love these flowers, not to mention most of the natural plant life here. It's easy to imagine 6O's voice rising in pitch, excited and animatedly talking about how flowers were pretty, how nice it was to see them, and wouldn't they look so cute in their hair? 2B especially, according to her.

Maybe that's why she reaches down to pluck one gently from the ground and pin it to her hair.

Or she tries to, at least. Look, the lunar tear she got back home was made to be wearable, she's never worked with an actual plant like this!! Help an android out?]

b. 2b or not 2b haha get it

[The burning sensation around her signet is noted, but she dismisses it quickly. Magic isn't something she thinks she'll ever understand, and thus anything related to it is shuffled along into a category of "weird but probably can't be helped at the moment." She goes about her day expecting it to be as normal as ever, and today that includes:

i. fishing of course, if you know 2B you know she's GONNA BE FISHING at some point in the day
ii. in the forest, gathering edible plants and fruits for all the human members of the coven
iii. still in the forest, but in a clearing, chilling with a bunch of animals as she takes a moment to rest

Time for unwilling oversharing, everyone's favorite pastime!! Although later on in the day, if you try to contact 2B, the only thing you're gonna get from her is a text screen of [MAINTENANCE CHECK] Any other responses will have to wait until morning.]

[Unfortunately, Velvet is absolutely the wrong person daemon to be helpful in this situation. First off, she's less fascinated with the moonflowers than pretty much everyone else seems to be. Second, even when she was younger and lived a simple life in her village, she was a tomboy – the kind of girl who left her hair messy and always favored practical clothes.

So, yeah, this isn't going to be her area of expertise. When Velvet comes across 2B, it doesn't even occur to to her that she's attempting to decorate her hair. She gives the android a skeptical look.]

What are you doing?

[Awkward tbh. 2B is far from a master of social interaction, but even she can tell that this is kind of a weird situation to be found in.]

I'm trying to put this in my hair. [She brings her hands back down though, frowning. She doesn't want to ruin the flower.] It's more difficult than I thought.

[allconsumed]

Oh.

[Awkward indeed, and kind of obvious in retrospect. Velvet blinks and tilts her head a little bit.]

I think it'd look pretty on you.

[Her honest assessment. She doesn't mind dealing compliments – sometimes.]

I'm not sure what would be the best way to get it to stay. How flexible is the stem?

... Thank you.

[Which is. Exactly what 6O had said about flowers in her hair before, but she still doesn't quite get why it'd look pretty on her in particular. There were plenty of other models who looked very similar to her. That's not the point here though.

Instead she examines the stem, carefully moving it between her fingers.]

Pretty flexible. It won't snap in half at least.

[Velvet hasn't seen any other android models up close – except A2, very briefly. Admittedly, the flower would look good in her hair, too. They're both… striking, and the silver-white hair lends itself well to bringing out bright colors.

Anyway, Velvet takes a few steps closer.]

You could try tying it in, then. Tucking the stem under your headband could also help it stay.

Hmm. [She tries just that, tucking it and tying it around her headband, even once under her blindfold for good measure.] How does that look?

[It feels stable to her, after tucking it in so securely. There's just enough of the stem sticking out from her headband to be noticeable though.]

[Alright, that seems to have… mostly worked.]

A little bit of the stem is sticking out.

[Looks like an easy enough fix, though. Velvet steps close to help her; she angles the stem down slightly, then does some re-tucking, and voila.]

There. That feel comfortable? I think it should stay put.

[She nods slightly, both to say yes and to test the stability of the flower.]

It wasn't any trouble.

[A few seconds pass, and Velvet feels like she has to continue the conversation before the awkwardness resettles.]

So what gave you the idea?

[apatheia]

... They reminded me of someone. She always said flowers would look pretty in my hair.

[Not that it would really matter much, she guesses. 6O isn't here, and even if she was back home, well. Neither of them would be there.]

I see.

[She's not going to pry any further, or ask who this "someone" is.]

It's not like I know much about looking pretty, but like I said, I think she was right.

[apatheia]

Thanks. I know I'm repeating myself, but I think hearing it from someone else would make her happy.

[When the memory of her is all that's left, well. There's something nice about the sentiment. Still, she has no intention of talking about this when Velvet obviously has no intention of asking about it either, so she let's the subject drop there.]

But I take it you're not really interested in this kind of thing. [She's not sure she could even say she herself is, but here she is anyways, a flower in her hair now.]

Let's just say it's not something I prioritize.

[She used to get teased over it, in the past. It didn't necessarily bother her much at the time, and now those interactions are nothing more than carefree memories that she feels very distant from.]

There's no harm in it. I'm not trying to impress anybody, though.

[apatheia]

[nodding] That makes sense to me. Depending on what you do, keeping up appearances and cosmetics isn't exactly necessary or even useful.

[Frankly, she's more inclined to take Velvet's approach in most cases when it comes to things like these.]

a but i want any level of telepathy too?!? FLOWERS AND FRIENDS

Oh! Miss 2B, hi!

[Yuna practically skips over, in that way she's always kind of lowkey skipping? It's just a natural zest for life, what can ya do. She smiles wide and claps her hands together.]

Aaah, that's such a pretty flower! [even despite her Struggles] Are you doing okay with that?

[apatheia]

Hello, Yuna.

[Seriously how does one person have so much energy?? What a mystery this girl is, on top of the perpetual mystery of humans in general. At her question though, she brings her hands back down, looking at the flower.]

It could be going better, I guess. [And without her realizing this is being broadcasted:] 6O would probably know how to put this in hair. Or she'd figure it out sooner than I can.

[Yuna tilts her head, just so, uncertain for just a moment how to address that little telepathic burst, but just as quickly she's smiling again and reaching to fuss with her own hair.]

It's much easier if you have a clip! You can borrow mine if you want, and we can find you one to keep later. [She's worn the white clip shaped like a single cherry blossom petal every day since she got here, but she pulls it out of the right side of her hair now and lets that part of her bangs fall in front of her face. Grinning, she shakes her head a little to try to keep the hair out of her eye and holds the clip out to 2B.] Do you want me to help clip it in?

[apatheia]

No, that's alright. I'm not worth the trouble. [Has she mentioned that all humans are above her and WOULD DIE IN A HEARTBEAT FOR YOU status?? No, she hasn't, but that's just kind of how it is. It's not even a sad thought as much as it is factual.] Yours already looks nice in your hair, so you should keep it. I'll find a clip later.

No way, I insist!

[It'd probably just upset and embarrass 2B, Yuna decides, if Yuna were to bring up those bits and pieces of thought she broadcasts, so she won't, but they are going to make her double down on her friendship effort.]

I just wear the same one every day, you know? I can mix up my style a little this way, hehe. But it's such a nice flower, it'll look really pretty on you! I don't want you to lose it in the meantime.

[still!! holding out her clip!!!! she's grinning so wide, she's just a dumb excited puppy honestly]

[What is it with humans being so nice and stubborn about friendship???? Truly the greatest mystery about humanity thus far.

But Yuna really is determined about this, isn't she.... There's a soft sigh, confused but just a little amused as well, as 2B gives in.]

Alright, I'll try it out at least. [And finally, she takes the clip.] If it doesn't look good though, you should take your clip back.

Haha, okay. I think it's going to be fine, though, but so long as you promise to try it!

[Now that her hands are free, she claps them together in delight and clenches them into determined fists by her face, beaming with excited delight.]

[She's looking at her so excitedly, 2B's going to feel bad if this ends up being disappointing somehow...

But she places the flower above her ear again, keeping it in place with Yuna's pin. It's not like she can see for herself, and she wouldn't really think it anyways, but it does indeed look pretty on her.]

[Even if it didn't look pretty, Yuna would find a way to be excited honestly, so the fact that it does is really just a huge help? Did you think was the end of Yuna's energy reserves, because somehow her eyes are even more sparkly.]

Miss 2B, it looks so nice on you! We should find a mirror—or, er, some water so you can see your reflection! You look even prettier, you've got to see!
