You're not doing anything right now, right? Good. Genette's using some of the resources taken from Aimintas to create a little get together. Even if you do have something going on, she's not averse to using a little force to make the evening magical. In fact, the magic is exactly how she's pulling this off. Genette is offering you to a little get together at the base camp, which may be all it takes for you to follow her. If not? Your hand is tethered (or some other part of you) quickly and you're led to the camp anyway. This is important, darn it! What's so important? A little "party" of sorts. There's an assortment of foods, some of which have been hastily made since some groups have gone harvesting for new resources, and a large water basin that's acting as a punch bowl. The true purpose of this little activity is a 'get to know you' exercise of sorts. Genette's got a glass container of a large quantity of Elto bones that can short-circuit the tethers, but the caveat is that you have to participate in a little, tethered sharing circle. (It's honestly a good idea to know who you're stuck within your little makeshift coven, but Genette is the pushy sort when she sets her mind to something.) The way to be released from your Elto shackles? Tell everyone your name, where you're from, your magic (seemingly left a little ambiguous) and something else about yourself. Discussions are encouraged! The more people know, the better! After you're done sharing with the class, food and drink is yours to have -- or you can just run off, that's fine too. OOC: Characters who would have absolutely nothing to do with this can of course escape, whether fleeing in the first place or using Elto bones of their own to circuit out their tether. A ▢ This is it -- your character can breathe deeply, unlock their knees and get this little activity over with. All they have to do is share the criteria and they're free to go! B ▢ Afterwards, their free to stick around the area and mingle. There IS food and also drinks. They may also want to have a more private conversation about something they learned tonight.

[ where'd all that charm dealing with animals go, lancer? huh? yeah, he was more or less asking himself that very question as he struggled with the cat. if he was smart he'd toss it away and be done with it but, well, maybe he wasn't.

lifting the cat up so it wouldn't scratch him in the face didn't help, so he lowered it back down. only after it got a few close calls in, though. well, he could almost commend it for being so feisty. almost. ]

[ the cat scowls at him, still trying to twist out of lancer's grip... after a moment of consideration, the cat (archer) ceases its (his) struggles — except for one last swipe of his paw... its weird though, more like a wave, gesturing for lancer to not hold him out so far than an actual attack like earlier.

HES A CAT, ITS FINE, RIGHT? ITS FINE, NOBODY HAS TO KNOW ITS HIM. ESPECIALLY LANCER. ]

who knew his greatest foe yet would be this stupid, fluffy cat. or at least, the most confusing one. but then it was a cat, and where dogs were loyal they were fickle. hahah. but now he was going to slowly bring the cat closer to his body, since it looked like what it wanted. if the thing started struggling again, though, it better not get mad if he finally ended up dropping it.

look, he's got limits to his patience too.

[ archer cooperates (for now!!!!) holding still apart from the irritated way his tail keeps lashing back and forth, until lancer finally brings him in close enough that he can brace his feet against his chest and lever himself out of Lancers grip, standing himself in a precarious balancing act on top of lancer's hands and arms. this is better! he can actually see now! lots better--!

except then he leans too far out to look for genette, and that drop to the ground is pretty damn far, at this size, and he's not an immortal ghost anymore. cue overcorrecting on his part and practically falling against lancer's tid chest. whoops. that was close. ]

[ lancer might be dumb, but not too dumb to see that the cat was looking for something. or someone. huh. what was that about?

well, there was no easy way for him to find out so he just did his best to allow the cat to balance on him. that didn't work for long, though. ugh, why can't he just put you on his shoulder? it would make things so much easier.

whatever. it's fine. lancer was just going to heave a big sigh and do his best to help straighten the cat up after it fell against him. at least now he figured he'd be better off with it standing on him than holding it. ]

[ of course. the higher vantage point is all well and fine, and he even takes the time to peek over one of the pauldrons, looking out for red curly hair and a painfully enthusiastic mood. so far, so good...

they stay like that for a few minutes, before archer decides it's now or never. he has to leave no before the group thins out too much and he's spotted. thanks for the help, such as it was, doggo. archer reaches up to bop lancer on the mouth, one more time, as a rude sort of thank you, then he's gone. jumps right out of lancers arms and bolts for the other side of the crowd.

so when ten minutes later genette comes from a different direction cheerfully leading archer by the hand, a loop of rope around his wrist, well. there's no connection that can be made, right!!! right! hes safe... its fine...

she says something about "cant avoid being social forever" and ties him off on lancer before leaving before he can say anything else. ]

but that just left him alone for a while, to the point that he was bored and ready to high-tail it out of there- until archer showed up. he got to watch the other servant be dragged along and, since there was no one else nearby, of course lancer was the one that'd get tied up with him.

he wasn't even annoyed right away. it was too funny. ]
