You're not doing anything right now, right? Good. Genette's using some of the resources taken from Aimintas to create a little get together. Even if you do have something going on, she's not averse to using a little force to make the evening magical.

In fact, the magic is exactly how she's pulling this off. Genette is offering you to a little get together at the base camp, which may be all it takes for you to follow her. If not? Your hand is tethered (or some other part of you) quickly and you're led to the camp anyway. This is important, darn it!

What's so important? A little "party" of sorts. There's an assortment of foods, some of which have been hastily made since some groups have gone harvesting for new resources, and a large water basin that's acting as a punch bowl.

The true purpose of this little activity is a 'get to know you' exercise of sorts. Genette's got a glass container of a large quantity of Elto bones that can short-circuit the tethers, but the caveat is that you have to participate in a little, tethered sharing circle.

(It's honestly a good idea to know who you're stuck within your little makeshift coven, but Genette is the pushy sort when she sets her mind to something.)

The way to be released from your Elto shackles? Tell everyone your name, where you're from, your magic (seemingly left a little ambiguous) and something else about yourself. Discussions are encouraged! The more people know, the better!

After you're done sharing with the class, food and drink is yours to have -- or you can just run off, that's fine too.

OOC: Characters who would have absolutely nothing to do with this can of course escape, whether fleeing in the first place or using Elto bones of their own to circuit out their tether.

I'm collecting information. It seems like a number of the people Qri brought here aren't really capable of hunting or fishing on their own.

It sounds like one. I know very little of the way a coroner usually investigates, but I assume they gather the evidence to determine if someone died naturally or not. At the very least, it's what I've heard.

[The idea of murder outside of war was uncommon in her kingdom. People died. Only those with money and prestige can find justice while the poor have to accept their relatives untimely death as long as their case isn't tied to another crime that harms the kingdom as a whole or directly harms the king.

Even so, she knew it wasn't in her place to make any comparisons without understanding the new ideas this person was trying to tell her. A small smile will form.]

Is the police another group that's part of your world's government? What kind is it? It doesn't sound like you live under a monarchy.

[He had to be tethered of course. And suddenly this little gathering is reminding him way too much of another certain gathering the Palai had forced him to endure that involved talking about himself.

Why can't these people buy a clue and see that if he wanted to give up information about himself, he'd do it freely.

But man this tether is tight. He tries to get a finger underneath it to take some of the pressure off his wrist. No dice. Siiigh.]

[Surprisingly, he does end up hanging out after, if only for the food and drink. Mostly he keeps to the outskirts of the crowd, cup of some beverage in his hand. He doesn't seem the most approachable, but don't let that stop you.]

I guess it depends where they've come from. Fishing wouldn't be a skill someone would have if they grew up in a place that's landlocked for instance.

[Even if his smile does seem rather terse, she can tell he wasn't actually suspicious. He hasn't made any odd attempts to pin her down, flirt, or make harrassing comments about her body.]

Oh, so that was you who was behind the whole flying to enemy territory and getting everyone in specific areas during battle?

[She remembers a few people have given her a name behind the person responsible, but has never made any attempts to search or contact him.]

Yes, that makes some amount of sense. But I'm a little surprised she would bring so many people here who can't fend for themselves . . . that is, if she's able to choose who she brings here that specifically at all.

In any case, it won't do to let people go hungry, so I've been thinking about what to do about that, too.

Haru. Not that I'm opposed to meeting Yuuko, but we've gotten pretty close, and I know she'd be happy to help.

I know some of how the lions work but not why so many systems are down right now. This magic might only be an echo of the real thing.

[It's the only instances she can't handle suspicious people. Assassins, thieves, and kidnappers are some she can definitely put in their place even without her powers.]

You know, you could've just asked for it straight up. Not all of us are the types to understand tact as easily as others can.
