[WORLD ONE | SEPTEMBER INTRO LOG]
Who: The new coven members, old blood & Palai people
Where: In and around the city land of Aimintas
When: Day 61
Open/Closed: Open to All

The initial setting information found here should be utilized for threads here.
There's no official OOC account for the Palai people. You're free to roleplay their actions and reactions on your own, as in depth as you want -- asking questions, hand-waved interactions, becoming best friends. The new world is your oyster!
All characters are told briefly what their powers are by Genette -- no extemporaneous details. For instance, if your character has the ability to detect lies, they'll be told as such -- no warning about limitations, repurcussions or the like. They'll also be given a variant of this letter so they aren't totally ignorant of the situation -- though of course adapt this letter to the current setting and surroundings of the game.

Where: In and around the city land of Aimintas
When: Day 61
Open/Closed: Open to All

This setting may be familiar to you -- maybe you caught a glimpse of it when you first visited. Maybe this is your first time experiencing this weird world and the panic is setting in. If you're totally lost, a tall human woman with a long scroll of paper will stop by to give you the run down. She'll also give you a letter, which may give you more questions than answers since the information is a wee out of date. (Maybe someone else can fill in some gaps for you). What you may not know is that this world recently experienced something of a tragedy. You wouldn't be able to guess this based on the festive energy in the air. The main marketplace where you've shown up finished reconstruction last night, and after grief comes joy to the Palai -- those lizard creatures you see wandering around. They're now hosting a festival to celebrate their success and the lives of those both still present and those lost. It's also a chance for them to host one of those big celebrations like they'd previously seen in human books. However, their resources are limited -- don't blame them if things are a little cut-and-paste!

This is all pretty juvenile, but fear not! For the mature sort and adults of Aimintas, there's a more quiet part set up that may cater to your older interests. A softer atmosphere, away from the excitement of things. If you want to wind down from the thrill of being magicked away to a new world, this is probably the best way for it.
D ▢ The environment in this more secluded area of the marketplace is supposed to be more relaxed, but it's also the best place to sit if you want a front row seat to the fireworks exhibit the remaining Eltos are putting on. Through balls of dye and their electrical powers, they're quickly blowing up the sky with arcs of color that rain down in the form of bright pieces of glitter once the spectacle is over. They also have a special service they're offering -- the Eltos have a grasp on electrical magic, which means they can draw certain things in the sky with these dye balls. If you have a request for a written message or a drawing of some sort, they'd be happy to comply with your wish! For the real adult experience, however, you may want to check out the large rolling cart that Palai are pushing around the marketplace, landing it in the fireworks area. This cart is filled with all of the eggs that were a product of their mating season, and this part of Aimintas is the warmest.

Finally, the Palai are getting used to the standard familiar faces, so they aren't unaware that there are quite a few new faces in the mix. Based on how familiar your character is, they'll receive a nice little gift from the Palai. Older coven members will receive a scrolled parchment that lists them as honorary citizens of Aimintas and a handmade, harden clay sculpture of their likeness. It may not look a lot like them, but they tried.
G ▢ Because the Palai recognize new faces, these new coven members will be dragged to other coven members who they do recognize. In an effort to help make introductions, the Palai are trying to connect new members with old members in order to foster friendships. Say hi to a new, awkwardly introduced covenmate...? H ▢ Wildcard! How will your character interact with this new and unusual world? |

no subject
Hahh... I guess!
[Shiro's reasonable so he can't really argue!] But this all feels way too weird to be reality still.
no subject
...Did she tell you what your magic is too?
no subject
[Souda scrunches up his nose. It's not that he's forgotten, but to actually say it feels unreal... besides, he doesn't feel anymore like he has magic than before.] Technology manipulation...
no subject
That's not very helpful. I haven't learned much from the Palai either.
no subject
[He grumbles, completely unaware of any misgivings Shiro might be having. He did totally stare at his arm and, while he wants to ask him if he can have a look at it, he doesn't have tools and he doesn't actually believe he has magic... It's just too weird.
Alas.]
These guys don't look super technologically advanced anyway...
no subject
And not attached to anyone. If you have it that could prove useful. ...and knowing your limits now is better than later. [Boy is that the truth. Trials under fire are not always successful.]
no subject
Yeah... [He'll reluctantly concede.] Oi, what about you? What kinda power you got?
no subject
But I have an idea.

[give him a second]
no subject
[HIS TONE OF VOICE HAS CHANGED. He looks sparkly-eyed. PRIORITIES. YOUR IDEA IN A SEC, APPARENTLY, SHIRO.]
no subject
Yes. But I don't know if it's one I know or not. Or how to do it.
no subject
[Hold on a tic, that's not the important part--] Maybe you just need to think about doin' it?
1/2
[He holds up hia hand. 5 robot lions. But now he's thinking about it. From the first time the door rose and the Black Lion chose him to pilot it. He has had a connection to her. Together they have faced so many things and he was using his own skills but also the bond between them. Shiro steps away from Souda and holds up a hand.]
I'll try it. Let me get some space just in case this works.
[But as he walks a few feet away he's thinking back to the lion coming to his defense. To forming Voltron and the first time he saw through the lion's eyes. He shuts his eyes and comes to a stop. Breathing in slowly as he trusts that connection despite the lack of it being present. Between one breath and the next-]

At a safe distance, at least, unsure what to expect out of Shiro. He shoves his hands into his jumpsuit and rocks a little on his heels as he waits... and waits...
and]
2/
[oh my god that's a robot lion]

done
O-oi... you're not a lion now, right? Do you know who I am?
...Robot lions don't gotta eat, so don't eat me.
no subject
Finally a mental voice says, with a bit of embarrassment in it.]
I only eat things that can't look at me or talk. What do I look like? Can you describe it to me?
no subject
You, uh-- you're a big lion?
[thanks souda] Uh, you're mostly black, you've got-- what are those? Wings? Jets? [He looks with growing interest, shuffling closer.]
no subject
[He tries to rise and fails. Four feet not two. He can do this. Shiro carefully untangles his feet and adds,]
You're right on both accounts. They've jets. But they can become wings. Normally I could tell you the Black Lion has a lot of weaponry but I don't think so in this case. I'm not even the right size.
no subject
[Eyes glittering, he looks over the form of the Black Lion as he shuffles even closer. Amazing, amazing, this is the kind of robot he's interested in!]
What size are you s'posed to be? Ain't this great as is? Ahhh, I wanna see 'em turn into wings! [STARING AT THE JETS LONGINGLY]
no subject
[Success! He has his feet under him. With obvious care, Shiro is standing up.]
I couldn't give you exact measurements of how large the Black Lion is. But my normal body isn't even half the size of one foot.
[He lifts a paw and nearly falls over.]
no subject
[Souda says, watching him nearly topple.] Didn't you ever crawl around on your hands and knees as a kid?
[Hearken back to those baby days, Shiro...]
no subject
...I don't remember. Do you think they fused the lion and I together? I was piloting it before I ended up in this place.
