Musical Beds Beach Bonanza!
Who: A pile of sleepy mages
Where: The beach huts!
When: Sometime post-magical training
Open/Closed: OTA
[Remember those lovely (cramped) colorful beach huts all lined up and ready for occupation? In these early days, in between exploration and crabs dancing jigs on everyone's insides and difficult magical training and certain people blowing up or otherwise walking away with entire huts, it's every man for himself when it comes to claiming sleeping space!
It's dark, you're tired late in the day, it's hard to read the nameplates on the huts should any have been filled out already. Whatever the reason, you've wandered into the wrong hut and fallen into bed, or wandered into the right hut only to find someone else in your bed.
The obvious solution is to grab the next available bed, owner be damned. It's not like the beds have names written on them.]
[OOC: Musical beds is a go! Feel free to go action, whack each other with telepathy or both. The OOC plot post can be used for plotting with your bedstealer/stealee! Enjoy. ☆]

[It'd been a long day. Stretching her arms high above her head and having a yawn, Madhuri was ready to head on back and let sleep claim her for the evening. But without name tags or any sort of thing, she figured she'd just pick a place and stick with it, right?
That was the unspoken rule. Except, when you're too tired to really pay attention, you started to dress down and slide under the blankets of a bed that felt a little firmer than she was accustomed to.
Oh well! With a sigh and a hug of the pillow, she wasn't long for consciousness. Curled in a small ball, she was soon fast asleep.]
[For Lenka]
[Well. That was... interesting. But after gathering her blouse and her boots, the bard set off and found the hut she could recognize and had actually decorated a little bit to help her spot it. Man, she must've been wiped out not to notice it before!
But her luck took a second downturn tonight when she saw a lump under the blanket. Body-shaped lump. Dumping her shoes and her blouse to the floor, Madhuri had decided to give up and maybe entertain herself a bit. It'd help her feel better.]
...Scoot over, sweetheart...
[Whoever you are, you're an extra pillow tonight. Sliding under the blanket, she draped an arm over the figure and settled in for what'll be a confusing bit of conversation sooner or later.
Eh. Details.]

It's been a while since Lenka has lived or slept at close quarters with others, but he certainly grew up sharing a communal space -- whether public or private, there was always someone all up in your business. So it doesn't immediately register to his sleep-addled brain that suddenly becoming a pillow is a cause for alarm.
It speaks, it's warm, it's not a boar or anything else, he's good.
Probably...?]
... Scooted. [it's a mumble, the cots are tiny and he's already plastered to the wall here]

[Between his odd encounters with magic hypnotic dances and his own attempts at exploration getting him lost in the woods again, Red was feeling something he hadn't remembered feeling since he first arrived on the island: Exhausted. And, for once, his powers just weren't kicking in to snap him back out of it.
He really, really shouldn't have skipped that whole magic training class. But no, he had to run laps instead. That just made the whole thing worse.
His eyes were half-lidded and his stride all but dragging himself across the sand by the time he made it back to the huts on the beach; but even through bleary eyes and dim light, he had no trouble at all picking his hut out among the countless others there, and wasted no time in nearly diving under the covers.
He just didn't recall his bed having such little room in it. Or having the sheets pull back when he tried to pull them over himself.]

So when someone flops into his bed, he wakes up, eyes wide and blinking. Uh...] Red? Are... you ok...?

[After getting kicked out of his own bed, Ryoji wanders around for a bit but... that quickly proves to be a bad idea, and he does need sleep eventually. He doesn't really know where Red's hut is, though, so he can't just take his bed, so he decides to just find an empty one.
And as luck would have it, this bed seems to be empty! So Ryoji flops down on it, curling up and closing his eyes and very quickly drifting off to sleep.]
no subject
Normally his bedtime is early early early! But he's been so excited with hero things that he... hasn't worried about that. Not at all. Which makes it very hard for him to function. In truth, he'd normally allow Ryoji to keep the bed. He would even tuck him in carefully and make sure he was well-rested.
But sleep-deprived Chiaki doesn't think about that.
Sleep-deprived Chiaki actually just tries to get on the bed... assuming it'd be empty.... oof, sorry Ryoji.]

[ orihime is a heavy, heavy sleeper, and she'd actually fallen asleep on the ground until her body told her that was no longer acceptable. too hard, too sore. so...sleepily, her body softly aching, she rises and slides her feet over to the nearest bed and just
plops herself down on whoever's sleeping in it.
turns out that its occupant is a furry animal of some sort? orihime's brain registers that much, at least, and she sleepily wraps her arms around whoever this is. so soft... ]
Aaah...
[ congratulations red you have a giant lug of a cinnamon roll on top of you now ]

So by the time he was even aware that there was a guest in his hut, he was already sharing his bed. Orihime's arrival was answered with little more than a twitch of his leg and a quiet groan as she learned in against him.]

[Yang yawned as she stumbled into the hut. At first, as the door opened and light fell across the bed, she didn't think anything of the lump there. She wasn't exactly known for always making her bed. But as she stumbled closer she noticed that it wasn't pillows as she originally thought...but a person.
She groaned. She was way too tired for this. She poked them in the side.]
Hey. Wrong hut, bucko.
---
For Jotaro
[Sleep was overrated anyway--especially when nightmares were involved. Yang remembers when she used to stay out late for other reasons, but now it was just to avoid nightmares. Although, after blowing stuff up today and then taking a walk, she was pretty exhausted now.
Unfortunately, after a long day of walking up and down huts and then taking a walk, Yang had picked a hut a few spaces down from the one she'd originally claimed. Of course, with several of the huts destroyed by various parties today it was a wonder that they still had this many still standing.
It wasn't quite habit yet, but Yang made a point of taking off her prosthesis before flopping on to the bed.]

And then he got back to his claimed hut to find a figure in his bed and a metal arm on his floor.]
Dammit, old man, don't leave your arm on the--
[He was already bent over to pick the arm up when several things clicked. One: this wasn't his grandfather's prosthetic, it was too small and had the wrong hand on it. Two: his grandfather wasn't here to be crashing in Jotaro's bed in the first place. Three: the person who was in his bed was some blonde woman.
With a muttered "gimme a break", Jotaro lobbed the metal arm at its apparent owner.]

[Jotaro just doesn't even care anymore tonight, he's crashing wherever. "Wherever" is only marked by some weird symbols he doesn't recognize as any of the written languages he's encountered, and he's too tired to think this might mean the hut belongs to someone from an unfamiliar place rather than that somebody just scribbled on a board or whatever.
So! When Edna returns, she's going to find shoes just inside the door, a long jacket and ratty-looking hat on her stool, and some guy passed out in her bed who's so tall his feet hang off the end. Sorry, friend.]

[Mikleo stares down at his bed, and the person occupying it. if he were on his own he'd just move straight on and take another bed, but he shares this space with at least one person from home, so that's going to create extra awkward questions in the morning if he just leaves it like that.
water to the face? tickling? nose pinching? vigorous elbowing? those are fine for friends, but probably not for strangers. he settles for poking Giorno in the shoulder firmly.]
Hey. Hey.
for lenka
[at some point, probably, he does give up and just try going in another hut. seraphs don't need sleep, but by god does he want at least a little after the continued culture shock of the day.
...since Mikleo doesn't have full control of his powers yet, Lenka's going to find a blob under his blankets that's
large and spiky?
is that a long crocodileish tail poking out from under there?
oh dear]
no subject
Of all things he'd have expected to find in what passes for his bed here -- a boar, fifteen crabs, hell, one of his neighbors -- the last thing Lenka would have expected is... what looks like some sort of reptile, not like anything he's seen so far on this island. At least, he thinks. It's hard to tell in the dark, but the tail...
He can feel the hairs on the back of his neck standing up, never mind that he'd just stumbled in from a long day of training, wrangling his way around everyone else training and sundry adventures. Unknown wildlife is never good.
Moving very quietly and trying to approach indirectly where he thinks the head might be... Lenka tries to peek at what might be under the sheets. He has one hand ready to cast a torrent(?) of refrigerators (never mind the structural integrity of his bed or his hut, really) and the other twitches at the sheets a little to see better.
What kind of terrible Goldilocks is in his bed...?]

[F.F. doesn't usually need to sleep, under normal circumstances. Yet it seems the changes to her physiology extends to her body now getting tired after too much activity. It's a pain, but she has to sleep. Luckily she's already claimed a bed and it's great! Though then again, the only bed she has ever been in before was a prison cot.
However when she enters the hut, she sees a body already in her bed. Now normally this wouldn't be a big deal to any rational thinking person. But F.F. is pretty possessive about things she claims as her own soooo...]
Hey! [She shouts, roughly shoving the body on her bed.] What're you doing here?! This isn't yours!
(For Emil)
[Well it's time to sleep. And really if bed ownership doesn't seem to matter to anyone, then she'll just follow the flow and find any old bed to get into. Whatever! She only needs it right now to refresh her energy.
So she barges into a random hut and gets into an empty bed, not even bothering to change clothes or anything because what the hell is hygiene? Only her shoes get taken off. She also chucks off the covers because she doesn't like sleeping with them on her (the sensation of it wrapping around her skin doesn't gel with her) and starts drifting off to sleep in a curl.]

His name is on the door, but that's not like that means much. He walks into the hut, smelling of charcoal and disappointment, only to freeze in surprise at seeing a woman lying in his bed, sans covers and fully clothed.
Well, at least he's grateful for the last part.
Emil's expression shifts from alarm to one that is completely unamused, not in the mood to deal with hooligans. ) I'm not sure if you can read, but this hut belongs to me. That's my bed you're in. Kindly show yourself out.

giorno wishes this was uncommon. but days and days ago - before everything passione, anyway - he lived in a dorm. it was not uncommon for people to waltz into your room without your permission, and anyway that's why there's a mirror on the other side of his door, so he can actually see who's coming in and be ready for it.
in any case, the guy looks like he's sleeping well. giorno sighs. he thinks, briefly, about waking him up, but he looks like he needs the sleep, so he tucks him in under the blankets instead, and settles on the floor to puzzle out the weird book he'd gotten from the caravan, listening to his mp3 player with one terrible song. it's just one evening.
worst case scenario, if a fight breaks out, he's more than capable of killing anyone.]no subject
that's so reassuring holy shitakira manages to stir a few moments after being tucked in. he can't remember the last time anyone did that for him, which is why the strangeness of it all wakes him. it was nice. blearily, he sits up and rubs at his eyes. listen, it had been a long, long night and the fact that someone else had taken the bed he had claimed as his own had completely thrown him off. he resolved to simply borrow this one. it'd totally be fine, right? right. ]

which is exactly what he thinks as he pushes open the door and realizes that someone has already claimed his bed. somebody is sleeping and he can't exactly blame them. all these places look similar and it's not like he really wrote his name on the door or anything. ]

He's definitely not sleeping outside like some impoverished bum when there are huts up for grabs. Despite his arguments to Foo that his name was on the door, he's certainly not taking the time to squint through the twilight to make sure this hut is available.
You'll come "home" to find a young man in your hut, lying straight as a board with the blankets drawn up to his chin and a defiant look on his face despite trying to sleep. If someone tries to take this bed from him, they've got another thing coming...maybe. )

She's ready to go to her hut and lay down, especially after having her own moment where she had accidentally taken someone's hut. Though it ended in her taking a small nap and having lots of girl talk with Orihime— definitely for the better.

If there's something Gokotai has to learn without his brothers in an unfamiliar place, it's a sense of time and a little time management. He didn't realize how late it had gotten, wandering around, training, trying to help out and whatnot. It was quite late by the time he felt tired.
Hilariously though, Gokotai doesn't have a bed, per se! He stays in one of the huts, but for some convenient reason or another, he has a cozy sleeping bag on the box frame instead of a... Mattress thing. Not that he minds, it would have been comfy, for him and his small stature, it's oversized. Sadly, his night as a camp burrito was not meant to be this time. ]
H-hello?
[ Poke poke poke. Hope you don't mind, Hibiki, but Gokotai has questions! ]
no subject
Too exhausted to start an investigation concerning the whereabouts of his bed, Hibiki decides to accept things as they are and lies down. Some prankster could have exchanged his mattress with a sleeping bag—that's the conclusion he comes up to just a little before closing his eyes and finally falling asleep.
It doesn't even occur to him that he might be the one mistaken here. So when someone interrupts his sleep, lying on his side Hibiki doesn't even move, just gives Gokotai a short response:]
Please come back in the morning...

After quietly walking inside, Hibiki notices that something about his bed is odd. He doesn't remember leaving anything under the covers...and then, he realizes that whatever it is, it's breathing.
His very first idea is to turn on his feet and go to check if it's his hut and...it is. There's no mistake. Let's hope it's not some animal sleeping in his bed. There's no other way to check than to see for himself, so he looks under the cover and...oh, it's a human. Whether that makes things easier or not, he's not sure yet.]
Excuse me...
[Beginning with a gentle poke, Hibiki makes an attempt to wake the boy up.]
