Musical Beds Beach Bonanza!
Who: A pile of sleepy mages
Where: The beach huts!
When: Sometime post-magical training
Open/Closed: OTA
[Remember those lovely (cramped) colorful beach huts all lined up and ready for occupation? In these early days, in between exploration and crabs dancing jigs on everyone's insides and difficult magical training and certain people blowing up or otherwise walking away with entire huts, it's every man for himself when it comes to claiming sleeping space!
It's dark, you're tired late in the day, it's hard to read the nameplates on the huts should any have been filled out already. Whatever the reason, you've wandered into the wrong hut and fallen into bed, or wandered into the right hut only to find someone else in your bed.
The obvious solution is to grab the next available bed, owner be damned. It's not like the beds have names written on them.]
[OOC: Musical beds is a go! Feel free to go action, whack each other with telepathy or both. The OOC plot post can be used for plotting with your bedstealer/stealee! Enjoy. ☆]

[It'd been a long day. Stretching her arms high above her head and having a yawn, Madhuri was ready to head on back and let sleep claim her for the evening. But without name tags or any sort of thing, she figured she'd just pick a place and stick with it, right?
That was the unspoken rule. Except, when you're too tired to really pay attention, you started to dress down and slide under the blankets of a bed that felt a little firmer than she was accustomed to.
Oh well! With a sigh and a hug of the pillow, she wasn't long for consciousness. Curled in a small ball, she was soon fast asleep.]
[For Lenka]
[Well. That was... interesting. But after gathering her blouse and her boots, the bard set off and found the hut she could recognize and had actually decorated a little bit to help her spot it. Man, she must've been wiped out not to notice it before!
But her luck took a second downturn tonight when she saw a lump under the blanket. Body-shaped lump. Dumping her shoes and her blouse to the floor, Madhuri had decided to give up and maybe entertain herself a bit. It'd help her feel better.]
...Scoot over, sweetheart...
[Whoever you are, you're an extra pillow tonight. Sliding under the blanket, she draped an arm over the figure and settled in for what'll be a confusing bit of conversation sooner or later.
Eh. Details.]

It's been a while since Lenka has lived or slept at close quarters with others, but he certainly grew up sharing a communal space -- whether public or private, there was always someone all up in your business. So it doesn't immediately register to his sleep-addled brain that suddenly becoming a pillow is a cause for alarm.
It speaks, it's warm, it's not a boar or anything else, he's good.
Probably...?]
... Scooted. [it's a mumble, the cots are tiny and he's already plastered to the wall here]
no subject
Fortunately for her, she had just the thing, an ankle hiking up the pants of her bunkmate and helping herself to a bit of that body heat.
He'll be a dear, won't he?]
no subject
So instead Lenka freezes in place to try to figure out what's going on.
First of all, there's definitely a girl in his bed -- she is all up in his business and besides being a girl there are... tusks...? Or something. Those aren't important right now. He flails a little in an attempt to disentangle himself.]
Ah... Hey... [who even is she though] There isn't enough room--
[She can't already be asleep, right.]
no subject
The voice didn't help. A stranger though they may be, this was her bed and she was going to sleep in it after she'd gotten the pillow perfectly lumpy and the blanket comfortably cozy yet cool.]
Time's it...?
no subject
... He looks back at the pseudo-bed invasion and sighs to himself.]
It's early. But... I thought there were enough huts for everyone?
[So why is she trying to share this one...?! Yeah, he's still not caught up here.]
no subject
There is... wound up in someone else's... they shooed me out. Forgot his name, but I'll remember his face.
[When they opened, she looked around. Having had some time now, she could make out some features in the hut.]
This one's mine... see? My guitar and my flute are over there.
no subject
Lenka looks around -- now that there's moonlight, he does a doubletake at what he'd somehow successfully missed before, and now there's a flush of embarrassment on top of the general confused red-faced reaction to bedsharing shenanigans. He almost falls out of bed trying to move to a position where he can get up. He does manage to smack his head on the wall, but his head is hard, he can take it.]
Ah... sorry. I, a dragon sat on mine. So I had to move.
no subject
I see... well, when your hut's got dragon butt all over it you're short on options.
[She scooted to make some more room and yawned.]
At any rate, no harm no foul. You don't seem keen on harming me. Besides, I don't mind bedmates. A warm body's a warm body and it's dreadfully chilly here.
no subject
[Well, it's good that she's not mad; he hadn't been particularly mad about the dragon invasion either, since... there's really no way to react normally when your bed becomes a sudden draconic casualty. Still, Lenka is pretty sure he would never get to sleep trying to share the bed like this -- he's shared beds before, but this is different!
So he carefully slips out the side, trying not to jostle the mattress too much, and goes to retrieve his things which are somewhere by the door due to force of habit.]
But I think there's still empty huts. I should go find one, since I can't use mine.
[And it's true: he'll have to make sure he claims a new one. It's a more expedient solution than fixing his poor cot. And he's gotten some sleep, anyway.]
no subject
[She could admit there was a greater boon in being able to 'starfish' and sleep like a bum for a night in such a big bed. The sheets will warm back up eventually.
Rolling over, she pulled up the covers and curled inward.]
no subject
Hey, you're in the wrong bed...
no subject
...Mmm, Magnai... such big hands...
no subject
[he's too tired for this. definitely too tired for this. he tries clearing his throat and calling a little louder.]
Hey!
no subject
[She pushed herself upright, eyes opened just a crack. But the more she blinked, the more she realized she wasn't addressing the xaela man. Gods damn it.]
...Why're you...? This is my...
[She rubbed an eye, had another peek.]
These huts honestly look the same.
no subject
[and he's tried, but that's probably obvious given the time.]
no subject
[A beat.]
Ah. If you're kicking me out, cover your eyes. I'm not wearing anything.
no subject
You can keep the blanket if you need it to, uh, cover up. I'm sure I've got another one somewhere. I really would like my bed back, though.
no subject
[The rustling, a figure hopping out of bed- she didn't seem too shy about doing so to gather her things while the eyes are firmly covered.]
I suppose tomorrow morning's business is getting a name plate on each of the huts... or is that too demanding?
no subject
I don't think it's too much to ask after tonight. We can't be the only ones running into this problem.
no subject
[She stood upright and brushed off.]
Sorry for the inconvenience. Ah- You can uncover, too, sorry. Now, to see who's wound up in my bed. Not that I'm terribly sore of it- I hope they don't mind being the big spoon.
no subject
Hopefully there isn't anyone in your bed and you have all that room to yourself.
no subject
[She marched to the doorway, dramatically waving a finger.]
I may charge them with breakfast duties come the morn! Out in the cold! While I steal all the sheets! Hells to pay!
