Musical Beds Beach Bonanza!

[Remember those lovely (cramped) colorful beach huts all lined up and ready for occupation? In these early days, in between exploration and crabs dancing jigs on everyone's insides and difficult magical training and certain people blowing up or otherwise walking away with entire huts, it's every man for himself when it comes to claiming sleeping space!

It's dark, you're tired late in the day, it's hard to read the nameplates on the huts should any have been filled out already. Whatever the reason, you've wandered into the wrong hut and fallen into bed, or wandered into the right hut only to find someone else in your bed.

The obvious solution is to grab the next available bed, owner be damned. It's not like the beds have names written on them.]

[Ryoji is a fairly light sleeper- in some ways, after all, being awake during the dead of night is more natural to him than being awake during the day. Of course, he'd had to be on a day schedule with school, but being up at midnight just... felt right. Even before he knew.

So when someone flops into his bed, he wakes up, eyes wide and blinking. Uh...] Red? Are... you ok...?

[He tries to gently shove the other in a very, very half hearted attempt to wake him. ...He looks exhausted.]

[A sharper yank against the upper corner of the sheets practically pulled them entirely off of Ryoji and cocooned the wearily-grumbling dog as he rolled over and turned away, tail poking out from under the covers.]

'mfine.

[...But Ryoji's shoves and prods soon earned a quiet groan. Ugh, it felt like he just went to sleep and already someone's trying to wake him up?]

jus' gimme... minutes.

Oh... ok...

[Well then. Ryoji decides he'll just sit there for a few minutes, then. He doesn't think they're meant to sharing beds like this, but... he doesn't really know so he'd like to ask Red. Unfortunately, he doesn't look like he really has any sign of waking up soon. Maybe he should just leave him be for now.]

[Well, even if he was a sheets-hog, at least he quieted down after those first few murmurs and didn't snore. Besides, if Ryoji didn't want his bed shared by the first near-comatose sleepyhead to drop by, then he shouldn't have picked such a comfortable one this late at night.

Yup. Made perfect sense.

...There WAS the little issue of Red's tail, though, and how it kept wagging as he dozed, more often than not gently whapping Ryoji in the face.]

[This... looks like it's going to take a while. And while Ryoji is an incredibly patient person, even he is getting a little bit tired of being whapped in the face by a tail.]

Um... I guess I'll just... go for a walk, then...?

[Ryoji why are you even still talking you're not going to get an answer.]

[Good luck, friendo, Red's on the outside half of the mattress. You wouldn't wake up a sleeping dog, now, would you?]

[...though in spite of his babbling, Red still rolled over slightly and draped an arm over Ryoji, only further complicating his position. Well, at least he wasn't getting a tail brushing against his face anymore, right?]

[Oh dear. This is not the kind of thing Ryoji would usually mind except this is a dog person??

Ryoji will then try to quietly and smoothly ease his way out from under Red's arm, which is mostly done via a very awkward shimmy down towards the foo of the bed. ...this is going to take a while.]

[Unfortunately, the bed's uninvited occupant must have felt the bedding tug down along with the bed's rightful owner. Ryoji didn't manage to squeeze down more than an inch or two before Red gave another pull to the covers, the sheets tightening around the two of them in the process.

What, never had a dog at the foot of your bed, Ryoji? Just pretend he's Koromaru or something. Except he's hugging you. And not at the foot of your bed.]

[But Ryoji's never even had Koromaru on his bed...! He is truly underleveled for this experience.]

I... guess Im staying for the moment... [Until Red loosens his grip or something.]
