[OPENING] island hub - day 1
Who: All Characters
Where: Main Hub
When: Day 1
Open/Closed: Open to All

TDM threads can be considered canon if you so choose, they contain the power that you apped with and both parties confer that the thread is canon.
For characters that were on the TDM and who were not accepted/didn't app, these characters will be considered dropped characters that were magicked away.

Where: Main Hub
When: Day 1
Open/Closed: Open to All

Night has fallen upon everyone. It's thus far been an eventful day -- you've met some new people, discovered some new aspects of yourself that weren't there before you appeared here (however that might have happened). The original inhabitants of the island have been working hard to prepare a few things. One activity might have been one you were a part of, but there's still time to get your hands dirty.
Post feasting, there are dozens of crabs and a pile of roasted boar meet that are up for eating. Even if you didn't offer to help in making any of the food, they're open to eat it -- even if the true helpers may give you dirty looks. The boar is fine, if not a little bland and chewy, but it's probably better than the jerky. The crab is delicious, if not a little tasteless...there problem with the crab isn't exactly the taste, though.
This may also cause a bit of an issue with your character's powers. They're still getting physically and mentally acclimated to these new changes, so expect their telepathy and magic to go a little haywire. |

It's almost completely dark outside when the next event of the evening happens. You're living your life when you see it out of the corner of your eye -- it's absolutely hard to miss. What you see is a large lit caravan, larger than even an army tank. It's bright white and shining, covered with golden, ornate details that emanate an even more dazzling sparkle. The entire thing is aglow, and it's quickly coming towards the large bonfire that's been made. It's not rolling across the sand, but instead it's floating, and so is a matching trunk that's sailing along next to a figure beside the caravan.
There are two other thread options associated with this prompt: Genette's top level and her telepathy training post. Around the same time as Genette is handing out this new little goody bag, you suddenly receive a telepathic message. It might seem a little strange at first -- but on that note, what about tonight isn't strange?
After you've met Genette, she's also got a few more supplies that she pulls out a small door in the base of the caravan. She's insistent that you only get two items, since there aren't exactly a lot of them to go around!

As the night winds down, it's recommended by Brie that you should probably go to be in your hut -- or at the very least get somewhere inside. There are a lot of people around the camp, however, so it's no surprise that there are a few people waiting around to get their fill of food and supplies before heading to bed. The noise of the new members and the light of the fire have attracted a very large pack of boars, who you'll later find make routine trips to the beach every night. Boar mating season has made the wild hogs rather testy, and the smell of food -- even if it's their own boar brethren -- have made them even more volatile.
However, it's not like staying up at night doesn't have its advantages. Once midnight hits, another species of animal makes its regular rounds across the base camp. In the sky, characters can see an Aurora Borealis-like sight. Instead of being dancing green and blue lights, however, the reality is that they are a massive species of space worm, and hundreds are wiggling past on their way to travel back home. They're shimmering and in every color imaginable, lighting up the sky with their magnificent hues.

g!!
Pretty neat, huh? [ At least, that's before he fully notices her. Her clothing immediately gives her away — he's seen the Organization members enough to recognize their clothing pretty easily. But he's never seen her before. And upon looking at her face, the resemblance to one of his best friends is uncanny. In addition, odd, foreign feelings well up inside him at the same time. Almost like a part of him wants to cry? Which only ... confuses him more. Being Sora is hard sometimes, it seems. Honestly, he'd be a lot more worked up if it weren't for the calming effects of this worm mist, so right now, that stuff is a blessing. But it isn't stopping the myriad of emotions he has from running through him in a matter of seconds.
So, he can't help but gasp a little, his body language switching to something a little more on guard, but his facial expression showing clear confusion. ]
Who're you?
[ Is probably the best way to go about this. She seems ... harmless. And he's aware the Organization has various types of people in it. Seeing as he doesn't have access to his Keyblade, he can only hope this is someone harmless. ]
no subject
[She's not exactly what you'd call savvy on reading emotions, but she's still observant enough to notice there's... some kind of change in how he's standing and looking at her. And that's not to mention the further pause seeing his face gives her. The hair is different, the expression isn't quite the same but the resemblance is still uncanny.
Her brow furrows a bit but, like Sora, the mist keeps much of her reaction muted.]
Xion. Who're you?
no subject
But the fact that she even has to ask who he is tells him somethings off about her compared to the other members he's met. After everything that happened, it'd be weird for one of them to not know who he is, right?
Still, the worm mist is making him calmer than he would be, and he's also not the kind of person to take the logical approach and keep his identity hidden if there's a threat of danger if someone finds it out. Sooo. ]
Uh ... I'm Sora. You mean you didn't know that?
[ Sorry, Xion, it's a little jarring considering how the rest of the members acted towards him. And how much he fought against them. ]
no subject
No, I... Are you okay?
[The way he was holding his head seemed to indicate some kind of pain or confusion. It felt... wrong, to ignore that. Especially with him looking so much like Roxas.]
no subject
Yeah, I'm fine. It's nothing.
[ Except it's definitely not nothing, and he ends up murmuring to himself here, as he crosses his arms in some deep thought. ] Maybe it's just a coincidence ... [ That she's wearing the exact same clothing an Organization XIII member would wear. The people here are from all sorts of different worlds. Maybe there's one with people in similar clothing? Okay this feels like he's reaching but Sora is not one for figuring things out.
Just how is he supposed to explain an Organization XIII member being nice to him and not knowing who he is?? ]
no subject
[The way he spoke that last bit, she isn't sure if she was supposed to hear it, but she can't help but feel curious, leaning forward just a bit. Maybe he'll elaborate, maybe he won't. But in either case...]
Well... I'm sorry, if I'm supposed to know you. But... it's nice to meet you now.
no subject
He dismisses elaborating on it and her need to say sorry with a shake of his head, like he's trying to dismiss thinking about it for himself, too.
And he gives her a smile. ]
Right. It's nice to meet you, too, Xion. [ Why is she so weirdly familiar, though ... Hhhh. He guesses he can deal with that later, too. It's not a good idea to pick fights with people when he doesn't have access to his Keyblade or the help of his friends. And he feels like he ... doesn't want to fight with her anyway.
Maybe he should change the subject. ]
So ... was that your magic you were doing earlier? [ With the water. ]
no subject
She nods.] Yeah. I think it's... the water. That's how I'm able to move it.
[She looks down at her hands and let's some of the mist gather there, like a shiny film over her hands.]
I'm still learning.
[Of course you are Xion, you only just got here today.]
no subject
And he smiles. ]
You can move water? That's pretty cool, Xion! [ Making sort of wave motions with his hands now. ] I bet you'll be able to make huge waves once you get the hang of it.
[ Or at least that's what Sora thinks would be cool. ]
no subject
Maybe. We'd need to find a beach or something, though.
[One with, y'know, actual water.]
What power did you get?
no subject
But at her question, he moves his hands to be parallel with each other. ] Oh, uh, this.
[ And he sparks a little white ball of light into existence between his hands. ] Make sure you don't touch it, though. It ... kinda burns.
[ Just putting that warning out there. Because he may or may not have touched it before. And it may or may not have burned his fingertips a little. Literal child here. ]
