[DECEMBER INTRO LOG | WORLD TWO]
Who: All coven members, especially new folk!
Where: In and around the new world’s apartment building where the coven is staying, as well as the rest of Shehui
When: Day 160
Open/Closed: Open to All
Where: In and around the new world’s apartment building where the coven is staying, as well as the rest of Shehui
When: Day 160
Open/Closed: Open to All
How did you get into this building? This apartment room? What the fuck is going on? Let's refer back to this page for a semi in-depth, wow so detailed, explanation of your current situation. Are you up to speed? Great. Now, here's the question of the hour: what are you going to do about it?
B ▢ One of the jobs on the job board this week is fundraising -- neat, right? Before you even make it up to your apartment, you may be accosted by an excited citizen -- coven member or no -- that is trying to push something onto your character. Chocolate bars? Cheese logs? Cookie dough? Some other luxury item or overpriced snack food? Because this fundraising task is based on commission, the citizen in question may be a bit pushy...or you may be inclined to buy ridiculous amounts of goods and not know what to do with yourself. |
New coven members showing up today are in luck. This week, Shehui is celebrating a Keep the Community Clean event. It's rare that they force jobs on people, but there has been an influx of new citizens and the population growth is leading to more trash. Fulfill your assignment and you'll be rewarded 1,000 credits. Don't? Be fined 500. Everyone has been sent a job to their ID, be it collecting trash, cleaning their apartment building or holding up signs/handing out literature about recycling. Sweeping, bagging...it's dirty work, but someone has to do it.
D ▢ For those who decided to pass out literature, you did pick the better job! It's a lot easier to avoid getting nasty, but it's also awkward...having to hand out fliers, be cheerful, regurgitate boring facts about recycling. Please sir, stop and listen to this exciting speech about why should put your cans in the red bins, not the blue ones! E ▢ There is a bright side to these jobs: local businesses are getting in on the outpouring of people out and about to try and get them into seats and buying things. Free samples are abound! There's a local coffee shop, Mooncents, that is handing out free small drinks to anyone who is actually working today. Come inside, regardless if you "volunteer" or not. It's warm inside with all that snow out there... |
Speaking of snow! Most businesses and buildings in Shehui have paid to have snow falling every other hour, which coats the city areas in a fine, powdery dust of snowflakes. You may be familiar with snow, or maybe you've never seen it in your entire life! It's unavoidable either way, so you're going to have to deal with it.
G ▢ While it's unadvised to just go lay out in the street and make snow angels, there are plenty of parks in which to examine or play in the snow. You won't be the only one acting like a fool -- it's Shehui. You're allowed to live a little! H ▢ Finally, Coins! has bought the most snow as a means for their seasonal activity -- snow paintball. If you're looking to have a good time and enjoy Shehui for what it is, you'd best be inclined to sign up. A massive field with snowbanks and excellent areas for hiding, snowball paintballs that hurt twice as much as usual. What more could you ask for? I ▢ Wildcard! How will your character interact with this new and unusual world? |

[Like, he'll eventually eat because dying is an alternative he doesn't like, but. Mrrrh.]
no subject
[ It's a little disturbing to Jun for a multitude of reasons, and he can't help but frown and offer the cup to Mika again. ]
You should treat yourself sometimes. Especially if you're having a hard time adjusting.
no subject
[And from his tone, he definitely believes this without a doubt! He's also kind of fond.
... After a moment, though, he'll at least take it to hold. Cautiously.]
I'd feel guilty goin' against what he said too, since he ain't done anything but be good to me since he found me, but thanks anyway~. Yer pretty nice for a guy.
no subject
[ That's a weird distinction. Then again, Mika did just admit he's a little dumb. ]
no subject
[Because-- Well, besides his name, Mika's got his weird ass eyes? Which Jun can definitely see clearly when he looks up this time, shyly looking away again as he scratches his cheek.]
Yer fine though.
no subject
[ A cute guy idol that gets attention from girls... Jun can see how that might lead to trouble. ]
no subject
[You'll never guess who has the self-esteem of a rock.]

I've only known you for 15 seconds, and you've told me you're an idol that girls dote on. Plus, you've been grateful for me just giving you a drink I don't even want, and you're trying to resist it because you're concerned over it being okay with a friend. Besides that? Looks wise, I'd say you're killing it.
There's plenty for people to be jealous over.
no subject
is not sure if he's embarrassed or something else, but Mika's setting the drink aside to bury his face in his arms while Jun talks. Once he's finished Mika peeks out, ears burning red.]
Nn... Thank ya kindly for all that, you really are a nice person... When Valkyrie was rulin', we had lots of fans, but Oshi-san said that we shouldn't mingle with the common masses 'cause that's not Valkyrie's aesthetic, so I never really met 'em or got doted on like that... Anzu-chan does that now though, so does Naru-chan, and Oshi-san's been like that too lately... It's kinda weird when he does it though.
[But it's hard to deny that it's not nice at the same time. Just... not the usual.]
Can't really say nothin' about the other stuff either... I'm real glad to hear that you think I'm good lookin' though~. I'm supposed to be. Yer face is pretty too~.
no subject
[ Jun can't help but tease Mika at that reaction, okay! But he'll ease up a little, shifting to something that's clearly more important right now...! ]
Seriously though, no need to make a big deal out of a cup of coffee. We should be looking out for each other anyway.
no subject
Eheh... You don't get that kinda attitude very much at school, though I dunno if I'd take any of their help anyway. S'fine if it's from a stranger though~. Thanks again!
[Even if he still won't drink it, it is nice to have close by for its warmth. He'll give in at some point.]
no subject
Seeing as it sounds like we're in the same situation, let's not stay strangers? I'm Jun.
no subject
[He knows it's a girly name...... he's hoping Jun continues his niceness and doesn't say anything though.]
no subject
Nice to meet you, ah, Kagehira?
[ With Japanese people you should use the last name unless specified, right? BUt also... ] Can I ask what your dialect is?
no subject
[But he's not half as self-conscious about it as he is his eyes and name despite the fact he's pretty much the only idol at school with this thick of a dialect.]
no subject
no subject
Uh, I dunno how long it's been around for, but it ain't that isolated... Y'can take the bullet train to the nearby cities if y'want. But it's kinda out of the way if I'm puttin' it like that, huh?
no subject
Seeing as bullet trains are a relatively recent invention, no doubt about it. Though... doesn't Kansai also have its own dialect? I think. I'm not all too familiar with Japan.
no subject
[... like after listening to mika's voice clips i think he's kishuu-ben?? additionally: did you know it's more accurate to translate kansai-ben as new york english over the southern that's so popularized. i didn't. i learn new things every day.]
no subject
True, you have to be used to it to pick up the subtleties of an accent.
no subject
[.......................]
C-Can ya stop lookin' at me like that?
[CAN YOU JUST STOP... LOOKING AT HIM IN GENERAL, ACTUALLY, IT'S STARTING TO EMBARRASS HIM.]
no subject
[ It's not like he's checking Mika out or anything. ]
no subject
[nnnnnnnnnn]
I'm, uh, I ain't used to bein' looked at for long times unless I'm on stage, an' even then I always get nervous. So it's kinda embarrassin'.
