How did you get into this building? This apartment room? What the fuck is going on? Let's refer back to this page for a semi in-depth, wow so detailed, explanation of your current situation. Are you up to speed? Great. Now, here's the question of the hour: what are you going to do about it? A ▢ Unlike the other coven members, the newbies are coming into the apartment building with non-empty apartment rooms. Depending on how polite or cautious you are, your first instinct may be to find your apartment and knock on the door. But it is your apartment now, too, and you do have an ID card that'll get you in. What horrible calamity will you walk in on? What eccentric roommates will you happen upon? The wacky situational comedy scenarios are ENDLESS. B ▢ One of the jobs on the job board this week is fundraising -- neat, right? Before you even make it up to your apartment, you may be accosted by an excited citizen -- coven member or no -- that is trying to push something onto your character. Chocolate bars? Cheese logs? Cookie dough? Some other luxury item or overpriced snack food? Because this fundraising task is based on commission, the citizen in question may be a bit pushy...or you may be inclined to buy ridiculous amounts of goods and not know what to do with yourself.

New coven members showing up today are in luck. This week, Shehui is celebrating a Keep the Community Clean event. It's rare that they force jobs on people, but there has been an influx of new citizens and the population growth is leading to more trash. Fulfill your assignment and you'll be rewarded 1,000 credits. Don't? Be fined 500. Everyone has been sent a job to their ID, be it collecting trash, cleaning their apartment building or holding up signs/handing out literature about recycling. Sweeping, bagging...it's dirty work, but someone has to do it. C ▢ Cleaning up trash on the street might be hard, but it's fulfilling! Okay, that's a lie. It's demeaning and a lot of citizens don't really care about the minimal littering credit deduction as they toss trash from their cars or miss throwing it into bins. Volunteers are outfitted with gloves, vests and a roll of trash bags, but it doesn't prevent them from being rudely splashed with snow or having to pick up nasty things. Have fun! D ▢ For those who decided to pass out literature, you did pick the better job! It's a lot easier to avoid getting nasty, but it's also awkward...having to hand out fliers, be cheerful, regurgitate boring facts about recycling. Please sir, stop and listen to this exciting speech about why should put your cans in the red bins, not the blue ones! E ▢ There is a bright side to these jobs: local businesses are getting in on the outpouring of people out and about to try and get them into seats and buying things. Free samples are abound! There's a local coffee shop, Mooncents, that is handing out free small drinks to anyone who is actually working today. Come inside, regardless if you "volunteer" or not. It's warm inside with all that snow out there...

Speaking of snow! Most businesses and buildings in Shehui have paid to have snow falling every other hour, which coats the city areas in a fine, powdery dust of snowflakes. You may be familiar with snow, or maybe you've never seen it in your entire life! It's unavoidable either way, so you're going to have to deal with it. F ▢ Children in Shehui are usually in a school building somewhere, but snow days call for some leniency. School is pretty come-and-go anyway, so don't be surprised that there are quite a few kidlets out and about on the streets. They're also fully into the spirit of snow, throwing snowballs at unsuspecting strangers. Will you get in on the action, or will you plan the murder of innocent children today? G ▢ While it's unadvised to just go lay out in the street and make snow angels, there are plenty of parks in which to examine or play in the snow. You won't be the only one acting like a fool -- it's Shehui. You're allowed to live a little! H ▢ Finally, Coins! has bought the most snow as a means for their seasonal activity -- snow paintball. If you're looking to have a good time and enjoy Shehui for what it is, you'd best be inclined to sign up. A massive field with snowbanks and excellent areas for hiding, snowball paintballs that hurt twice as much as usual. What more could you ask for? I ▢ Wildcard! How will your character interact with this new and unusual world?

I'll make sure it finds a good home~! -A bright, cheery tone breaks through the crowd as a masked woman bounded her way up to him, leaning in way, way closer than was remotely respectable for a stranger. The glow of her mask was almost enough to illuminate the dark recesses of that hood of his...-

[Almost, but luckily for him, not quite.

Roxas hasn't much of a sense of personal space either, and so he doesn't think to lean away. He does, however, hold tight to the box]

They might be dangerous.

Oh, well that should be fine, right? -The woman giggled, her mask seemingly able to emote with her, strangely enough. But then her voice deepened, took on a much more mature tone.- I, too, have had the very same thing spoken about me, so that simply makes the match even better, does it not?

Do you want to risk being consumed by darkness?

[His tone is flat, the same as before, but there's something hard behind it — his concern]

-Well that made her stand up straight, at least, getting out of the cloaked lad's personal bubble as she pondered over his statement.-

I thought we were just talking about the negative effects of consuming too much sugar in human-like beings... -The bright, youthful tone came back.- Aren't we just talking about candy?

[cloak]

The last time I was assigned to distribute chocolates like this, they were...tainted. They didn't just make people sick, but killed them.

[His tenure in worlds he doesn't belong in has been memorable, to say the least]

Oh wow... -She paused a moment, thinking that over.- That's pretty cruel, poisoning candy like that. You're a real supervillain type, for sure! Twisted and evil!

[cloak]

It wasn't something I chose. But it also wasn't something I could stop.

[He doesn't know about this villain business, but his inability to do anything about it still bothers him]

-A deeper, more mature tone.- Are you someone that doesn't often make choices, then?

[cloak]

Depends on the circumstances.

[And indeed it does: back in the Datascape, he had but one purpose, and he held to it even when the world was threatening to fall apart around him]

But I won't risk the same thing happening again.

In that case, I'll make the choice for you. -And just like that, she was attempting to snatch the box away from his hands, the youthful tone shining through as she did so.- Bupuuu~! More for me!

[Roxas may be small, but he moves quickly. It's easy enough for him to step aside and maneuver the box away]

It's not worth the risk. You could get something at the café down the street.

[gimmecandy]

-Undeterred, Jack-O' attempts another grab at the box.- But I want this one! Trick or treeeeat!

[cloak]

[This must be a heck of a strange dance for people to watch as Roxas once more sidesteps her advance]

If it's not safe, it's not worth eating.

I can be the judge of that! Lemme have one, and if I croak, then you'll know for sure! -It was drawing a few eyes, to be sure. A strange masked woman in a jump suit with a steel ball chained to her ankle trying desperately to snatch a box of candy from a cloaked kid. Might as well of had a lighted sign above them.-

[People will take them for some bizarre comedy act at this rate[

But then you'd be dead. How does that make sense?

Ah, but I've never been born. -The mature tone clarified.- Therefore, I doubt something so simple as tainted candy could end this existence.

[cloak]

I wasn't born either, but I could still be destroyed.

[Which is somewhat ironic as he's based on a Nobody, and Nobodies are deemed non-existent entities]

At least I'll have been destroyed doing what I love! -And then the youthful tone came back as she gave an all-out lunge for the box.- Eating candy!!!

There's other candy.

[His flat refusal might feel heavier if he didn't slide backward several feet when he tries to evade her again, having stumbled onto some ice]

But I want that candy! -And there she is, diving onto him, like a puppy pouncing a toy.-

[And down they go with a thump. It hurts hitting pavement, and Roxas can't get very far, but he still tries to push the box away.

Granted, several candy bars have littered the ground now]

If it kills you, you'll never have it again after that-

[If candy is all that matters, that's his best bet in trying to reason with her]

I won't miss it, because I'll no longer exist! -Jack-O' makes a grab for one of the loose bars while still trying to straddle the cloaked boy. The ankh necklace she wore likely slammed right into his face as a result, but better that than her smothering him with her chest, all things considered. She could almost... reach... it!-

[Roxas grunts, but he was made for pain. Getting smacked in the face with metal is just another Tuesday for him.

In one last desperate bid to save this girl from herself, Roxas summons one of his Keyblades in a riot of sparkles, clumsily batting candy away with it. Given the awkward angle, his success is limited at best.

And they certainly have gathered a crowd]

-Well even if he didn't succeed in batting away the chocolate, he certainly distracted her from her quest with the appearance of that keyblade. She immediately sat up, though still straddling him, a curious expression on the mask, her tone mature once more.-
