[Copper, lizards, and vines - oh my! With the recent installation of 9S and co.'s scanning equipment and the also recent, significantly wetter rainstorms there's quite a lot to check out on the island right now. Plus, the monitor robot still needs a name. You're not going to leave them nameless forever, are you?

Too bad Genette's put out word that everyone's about to be moving location soon. That means these are the last days the coven has for a little while to get everything in order, whether it's to take things to the next destination or to leave them behind. Get your bags packed and your huts cleaned, everyone!]

[He's going to just. Step into a nearby hut so he can retrieve the amulet from inside the armor without freaking her out. Pulling things out of your chest in front of girls you just met is weird!!

When he steps back out, he'll offer the Elto amulet to her.]

Normally it's tricky to handle these things without getting shocked, but because of the glass around it you should be okay. It can be used to amplify your magic if that's something you want to try.

[him stepping away isn't particularly notable to her--she just assumes he had it stored inside of his hut instead of inside of his armor, none the wiser. she takes the offered amulet from him with care, turning it over in her hands with interest.]

I doubt my magic needs to be amplified when it's already pretty strong. Still, this is really something! It's no wonder Qri's interested in it if it can amplify abilities like that. Have you tested it out yourself?

Yeah, I've done some experimenting. For me, it doesn't really make my magic stronger so much as it lets it last longer. Under normal circumstances, my power wears off pretty quickly.

[But of course he's curious about what kind of magic wouldn't need any amplifying at all.]

What is it you can do?

I'm super strong. I could probably lift you up without any trouble at all.

[it's not meant as a brag; she's tested her powers, seeing how much she can lift before it starts getting too heavy.]

I don't think that I can get any stronger than I am now.

Seriously? Huh.

[Super strength isn't the wildest coven power he's heard of or anything, but it isn't every day someone her size says something like that.]

What about any other limits? Is it something you can just keep up indefinitely?

Oh. I...haven't tried.

[being brought to another world was more pressing to her than figuring out the limits of the abilities given to her, but she looks chagrined for not considering it]

I've never gotten to the point where I get tired from carrying something, at least not so far, so I didn't think about it. I'm only human so there must be a limit to it.

Well, you've got plenty of time to figure it out. It isn't like we have any sort of guideline for how these powers are supposed to work.

[He stops himself there, before this turns into a frustrated tangent.]

Getting the extra energy to make a difference might take some trial and error too, but it'd be interesting to see what the effect might be.

It's sort of interesting to think about getting even stronger, it's true.

[it's hard to imagine; even the people on her world that have enhanced abilities don't have anything as extreme as most of the people on the hub.]

I'll test my limits and see what I come up with, then. It would be a shame to not know the full extent of my abilities if they can be of use to someone here. Do you have any extra, uhm...enhancers?

If possible, I'd like to borrow one to test out. If you'd prefer to keep them that's alright too, since I still need to practice and find the extent of my abilities regardless.

This is the only one I kept, but you can hang on to it for a while if you want.

Some of the others brought back more if you'd rather try them in their normal form instead of ones made into pendants like this. Have you met Vern and Geir yet? [They're hard to miss.] I'm pretty sure they have a few.

Oh! I know both of them. If Geir has some, then I can borrow one of his instead of putting you out. He can't be stingy with them since we're friends, and it's for a good purpose.
