[Copper, lizards, and vines - oh my! With the recent installation of 9S and co.'s scanning equipment and the also recent, significantly wetter rainstorms there's quite a lot to check out on the island right now. Plus, the monitor robot still needs a name. You're not going to leave them nameless forever, are you?

Too bad Genette's put out word that everyone's about to be moving location soon. That means these are the last days the coven has for a little while to get everything in order, whether it's to take things to the next destination or to leave them behind. Get your bags packed and your huts cleaned, everyone!]

[Hm. Dirk pauses. He lifts the lizard.]

[... she does not say it out loud, but her expression pretty clearly says that she finds mucus bandaids a bit gross (there's no way this is sanitary), and that she is considering just going ahead and healing him.]

[It's fine, Dirk's just going to aggressively wash it off the second he's away from Madoka because this is not clean (the dude loves his ablutions)]

[for now, though, he's going in a pocket, because she has a chance to try something she's been practicing for a while. she holds her hands in front of her, as if cupping something, and a sphere of bright white light forms, floating just above her palms.]

Here. [she holds it out to him. go ahead and take it.]

You'll likely need to make a terrarium for him, particularly since we have no idea of the climate we're about to come into.

[This is probably not going to kill him. He obligingly takes it.]

Mm ... that shouldn't be too hard, right? I did a lot of gardening back home — oh, I should probably pack some food for him, too.. [Madoka is going to accidentally kill this poor lizard, and she is going to be devastated. rip in advance, mushu.]

[she falls silent, though, fixated on the orb floating in his hands. it probably feels warm and soothing, not unlike holding a freshly brewed cup of tea.]

[she hasn't figured out what possible applications there are for letting someone else carry her healing spell for her, and it is taking way more effort to hold it like that than it should, but it couldn't hurt to keep testing it out anyway.]

[He responds to that feeling. It reminds him of the times they've had tea together, sitting comfortable and close and just relaxing.]

What do I do with it?

[she doesn't answer immediately, partly because she is too focused on keeping the orb together, and partly because she's not. entirely sure what to do next. she has no idea where they'll hit the Eltos pendant's limits, and she's never really tried letting someone else handle the spell in her place before.]

... Try seeing if you can use it to heal your hand? [the spell's already been cast, all she's doing is holding it in place — actually using it is (literally) in Dirk's hands now.]

[ok but you realize his effort for trying to do this just involves him. squishing it between his hands.]

[... so, he's sculpting it? is he trying to turn healing into some sort of avant-garde art form?]

[this is not what she was expecting, and Madoka is just going to watch, fascinated. the spell will activate and burst into its usual warm, healing light in a few minutes either way, so he probably can't mess it up if he decides to make a healing horse or something.]
