rebells if your character would have icly asked to come!
[So you may have gotten a telepathic message a few days ago about an expedition to map the coastline . . . or maybe you were invited along by a friend. Whatever the reason, it's bright and early this morning, and it's time to set out!
Characters would have gotten a further telepathic message from Jay with a date and time to meet outside the shacks. They'll be heading east along the "shore," tracking the coast, and then heading directly back towards base camp . . . who knows what they'll find along the way?]

he
really hopes he didn't break it
but with their combined powers, they could probably make it serviceable again? ]

Your power is still really cool. [He claps his hands together.] If we can carry it back, we can probably refurbish it into something we can use to cook back on the beach. Or carry with us for whenever we leave? You remember Genette's letter. Eventually we are going to start heading to new planets.
[But he does step forward to reexamine the stove.] Everything keeps its original properties even when you change it?
no subject
Refurbishing and taking it would be best. I think everything stays the same... It doesn't work on living things, so I can't tell if it would harm them.

If Dave ever learns to draw we could add some more burners to it and other wings, too, to cook more and feed more people. Unless it's broken, then we might have a bigger problem.
no subject
I think Dirk might be able to help if it's broken. If he can figure out how to destroy the brokenness.
[ His words, not Minato's. Last he saw Dirk practice, he might have just as much success as Dave learning how to draw. ]

That's if. [It's lightly and not entirely an argument, but he's aware of how Dirk feels about his powers.] Maybe this is something that can be fixed without powers, too, if we can figure out what works and what doesn't. And anyway Dirk couldn't touch it if we don't even know what the real brokenness is. These things usually run on gas don't they?
[He's just Thinking, don't mind him.]

Gas, maybe. If it's out here, maybe wood is burned instead. We have people who can start fire without fuel, though.

[ Though technically, Akira's fuel is bad jokes and Emil is... Emil. ]

A desert sounds like a pain to walk though... [ Sand. Everywhere. ] We're supposed to be finding magic or something out there?
no subject
It's not that bad. [Don't ask why he's walked through deserts, Minato.] And I think so. I have read Genette's letter a few times and I'm still not too sure what it is we're really doing when we start traveling. That sounds right, but that also sounds way too easy.
no subject
I guess, when we start traveling, we'll be told what to do. If they need so many people, it's probably something that takes time.
[ But not difficult, he hopes, because otherwise the island would be crawling with experienced warriors, not teenagers like he sees all around him. ]
no subject
[Shrug.] Probably not worth worrying about now. Lenka and I were talking about building an enclosure or something to make meals back at the original hut site on the beach to keep food away from the boars and stuff. We can shove the stove in there or something.

Merging... is what you do, right? Is it as easy as putting two huts together to make one big one?
no subject
I think so? I haven't tried it yet but since everything else seems to merge together I do not see why not. It'd depend how they formed together but at least it'd be more space.
