It sounds like she'll answer sooner or later, if she gets more energy. Or at least, that's what she's implying.

[He glances around to make sure no one is nearby.] I might call another meeting soon, depending on what she says. We'll have more to talk about, at least.
no subject
[Geir tilts his head a bit at the secrecy. he's not trumpeting their mild conspiracy around either, but the whole thing does strike him as a little amusing.]
Sure. There are a lot of new people who might want to come, and we can plan what we're going to do when we get to the new world. Sounds good to me.
Have you met anyone to watch out for--?
no subject
What about you? Have you met anyone you think might be a good candidate?
no subject
I wish there was a way to just ask everyone...
no subject
[He smiles a little; he doesn't mind the secrecy, personally, but he can understand Geir's point of view.]
I think we should keep the meetings quiet for now, but it is troublesome. I can't meet everyone who might fit in there.
no subject
[that reminds Geir of something-- his eyes narrow, and he worries at the ground with his front talons a little bit. there are people he hasn't met, but also people he hasn't seen in some time...]
Oh, right. I meant to ask. Have you been-- keeping track of who's here? With your papers and lists.
no subject
I haven't, not formally. Perhaps I should start.
Were you thinking about anyone in particular?
no subject
Julius and Souda. Souda wasn't around much, but I haven't seen Julius in a while... and when I tried to call him through his signet, it hurt.
no subject
I haven't seen either of them, either. Julius in particular . . . he signed up for the co-op, but hasn't shown up recently.
no subject
[Geir's eyes narrow as he tries to reach Souda through his signet. he's not entirely sure he made the connection correctly, as he didn't know Souda nearly as well as Julius, but his wince as he meets the same sensation of pain is detectable.]
--who's someone you know is gone, Jay?
no subject
Did you know--ah, never mind, I'll do it myself.
[The first person he thinks of is Dave Strider, so he tries that, closing his eyes, trying to reach for a familiar presence . . . he lets out a soft hiss as the pain hits him, pressing his fingers over where his shirt covers his signet.]
It seems like more or less the same thing.
no subject
[Geir hangs his head and hisses a sigh out between his teeth; somehow, the idea that people he met and liked a great deal could be gone without him realizing makes the whole thing even more unsettling.]
no subject
[But he frowns again, looking disquieted.]
I can't say I like this. She won't even answer any of our questions about where people go.
no subject
[Geir thinks about the situation a little more. he still doesn't feel a lot of loyalty for the coven per se, but he certainly likes a lot of people he's met in it...]
...I'll start checking in on people more often.
no subject
That seems like a good approach. I've been checking in on some people, but I'll cast my net a little wider as well.
no subject
[he motions with his chin towards where the scanning station is being set up.]
I don't know much about it, but it was a good idea. They wanted to find more ruins like these, too. What else is even up here...?
no subject
There's still a lot of this island we haven't explored. To the north and east, especially.
no subject
[Geir stands to shake his wings out restlessly and paces a few steps, scooping up another pot to hold close to his eye and peer at. he should take it back for Vern, he thinks.]
The rocks smell like metal. Do we need more of it? No one's making weapons with Brie around...
no subject
I can't think of anything immediate we'd need it for, but metal is always useful. It's more durable than most of the other materials around here. We'd need a forge, however, and some way of shaping it into the form we want.
no subject
[Geir picks up the pot, and a second pot, decisively. he pokes a bit around the campsite, tugging with interest at a roll of canvas. he's sticking close to Jay, so there's no indication that he's ending the conversation, but he's twitchy from the revelations about the signets, full of restless movement despite the long flight.]
