[ A telepathic voice message from Sophie will be going out to anyone near the vicinity of the beach: ]

If anyone's close by the beach, come find me. There's something I want to show you.

[ And that's all she's going to say about it. It's a surprise!

On a high cliffside overlooking the small bit of ocean that the island has remaining, colorful patches of flowers cover the area. Although, there's noticeably an even bigger number of purple ones for some reason. The little flower meadow didn't exist before, at least not prior to Sophie's arrival.

Initially, she was slower than others to be able to use her magic. Now it comes easily to her, being able to have patches of flowers materialize with a simple touch on the ground. She used her magic to create a meadow as close to resembling the one back home, on Lhant Hill. However, it does have a few small differences, such as a few moonflowers from recent happenings on the island. There's no tree to make a friendship pact on and there's no Foselos in the sky. And likely, over time, there will be some new additions to the meadow.

Anyone who decides to wander into the area will find Sophie quietly sitting by the edge of the cliff, staring out towards the small ocean and into space. She's not actually zoning out, but looking thoughtful more than anything. ]

Sopherias. [She takes a seat herself, looking closely at the purple flowers. They look a lot like Sophie's hair color, but more than that...] It sounds similar to your name.

I'll try my best!

[Geir sits up straighter and narrows his eyes to stare at the flowers, concentrating on them and feeding them energy. the strange pull of his power always makes him feel a bit as if his strength is a fast, deep river, diverting a little streamlet out of himself to feed into... somewhere.

when he's tried this before with people, they've felt a boost, as if they suddenly got a second wind. when he's tried it with normal plants, they've grown a bit more energetically, poking their little heads up above the earth (if they're seeds) or enthusiastically growing towards the sun. it's normally not a wholesale can-control-plants-to-suddenly-grow-overnight sort of thing as much as a transfer of life and liveliness, but he's not sure what the effect will be on magical plants.]

[Jake comes of course. Sophie seems nice and he's happy to see whatever is important to her. And as it turns out, it's beautiful.]

Oh goodness, this is— This is breathtaking, Sophie.

Jake!

[ She's going to stop staring off into the distance and hop to her feet when she hears Jake's arrival. Smiling really wide, she's excited to introduce him to the sopherias as promised. His comment makes her pause, tilting her head... maybe a little concerned. Breathtaking, is it.

Expressions. ]

Are you still breathing okay?

[Oh, right. Sophie is a bit literal. But he doesn't mind.]

Oh yes, I'm breathing just fine. It's a good thing! It means it's beautiful.

This...you did this?

[ Riko was quite impressed before, but now that she knows the flowers appeared thanks to efforts of just one person...after the initial shock, a smile tugs at the corners of her lips and grows wider every second. ]

That's fantastic! I'm so glad. I've never seen such beautiful flowers. Do you know them?

[Yuna doesn't know the voice and doesn't really know what's going on (that's nothing new), but color her curious—and thankfully so, too, because flowers are kind of her thing, so as soon as the meadow comes into view, her eyes are sparkling with more excitement than maybe is entirely healthy.]

Wow! Oh, it's beautiful! [She hasn't made the connection between the flowers showing up and the girl there, and frankly she's so dumb and new enough here that this meadow could have been here all along for all that she knows? She runs a few steps into the meadow, spinning on one foot and laughing.] This is amazing! [She turns to the girl sitting at the cliff finally, grinning wide.] Excuse me! Did you call us here?

[ Well, thank goodness he's breathing. ]

...Beautiful. I see.

[ Unlike the other expressions she has heard from other coven members, maybe she can get behind this one. Kind of weird literally, but the meaning is nice.

She claps her hands together, smiling. She wants to try saying this expression too: ]

This flower meadow is breathtaking!

I was expecting something washed up on shore. Like a boat out of here.

[ His fault for setting his expectations too high, but the aroma is nice, soothing. Noctis finds it easy to sink down on the patch, fingers lightly gliding over some of the petals. It's nothing he'd let himself do in front of the guys, but he figures the kid won't tell on him. ]

It's an okay trick. Makes everything look less...prison-y.

[ He's not sure how flowers will come in use in battle, but not everyone's a fighter. Some people just like making things for the sheer fun of it. ]

[ Sophie doesn't hide anything unless vocally told not to say something. Telling others about how some nice guy named Ray was petting flowers is free game to her. Highly unlikely she'll ever have a reason to mention it though. Maybe. ]

Less... prison-y?

[ She hadn't thought of comparing the island to a prison. Something more like a small, cramped room with cell bars is what comes to mind when she thinks of a prison. Though as nice as her magic is, she does wish she could leave as well, to be where her family actually is. ]

Oh. Hmm... I wish we could get a boat. Or a shuttle that can fly through the sky, all the way back home!

The purple ones are called sopherias, for sure. The others... I wish I knew. But, they're exactly how I remember them back home.

[ Maybe she can find a book or something about it. Regardless, she's still proud over how she's able to replicate their appearance and quality. And being able to make other people smile, including Riko, Sophie feels accomplished. ]

I'm glad they can make you smile.

[ While it's not that difficult to make the connection between her name and the flower, it brings her to smile. She's proud of her name. ]

That's right, 2B. A friend of mine named me after this flower.

[ The flowers might not be much of a sight to see when they're a closed bud, but still, Sophie wanted to give them a place on the hill. ]

I think... it's a type of moon flower? They were blooming and glowing when the moon got really close to the island. Every flower here is from the hill near my home, except for that one.

[ She can practically grow any kind of flower, as long as she sees it in person. ]

[ For some of the flowers, they're basking in the energy, though they don't really show much of a difference at a glance. They might seem a little perkier. As for a few of the purple flowers, the sopherias, caught up in Geir's magic... the petals glow brightly as he concentrates his energy into them. In a few seconds, the petals disperse into purple particles of light, leaving the sopherias' stems behind.

The light particles drift upward slowly, gradually moving further away. Sophie bounces on her heels. She wasn't expecting to see the blossomgale so soon. ]

Oh! That's the blossomgale!

[ She raises an arm up, waving to the sky. ]

Bye bye!

[Granted, 2B's already proven that she doesn't know much about names, but still. It's obvious that Sophie likes her name a lot, and that's enough.]

They named you well.

[Geir echoes Sophie's sentiment, staring upwards after the vanishing sparks. how odd... that's really very pretty. he's never seen a flower do anything of the sort, and his eyes go very wide as he drinks in the sight.]

Oh... why does it do that?! I liked that a lot--! They're really beautiful that way.

[ Another unfamiliar scent arriving into the meadow has Sophie completely alert, but she's quick to realize the newcomer isn't a hostile, especially with such a loud cheerful voice.

Watching the girl spin is kind of dizzying for a moment. Woah. That kind of energy reminds her of Pascal... ]

Wow. You're really impressive, Sophie.

[ he thinks on it some more before coming up with an idea. ]

Can I pick nine of them? You're the expert, so I'll let you choose which flowers they are, but there has to be nine.

[ ... actually... ]

Are there any flowers that start with the letter S?

[ As much as she'd like to help Sophie solve the mystery of the flowers and learn their names, it's something she cannot do this time, unfortunately. ]

Sopherias...I see.

[ They can not only make her smile, but also chuckle. ]

Were you named after them?

I used to go by my model name... but I like Sophie better.

[ Sophie turns towards 2B, thoughtful as she looks over her black attire, then her silver white hair. Looking at 2B or A2 always has her wishing she could grow up or had a more ladylike model... but she's also curious about their naming. It's clearly their unit designation, which she figured out when 2B tried to name the boar. ]

2B, do you like going by your unit designation? I bet you could go by a flower name too! Like Lily or Tulip something!

Don't worry about it, Riko.

[ She'll figure it out someday. For now, she's glad the flowers are doing the trick of making others happy.

Everyone's easily making the connection between her name and the flowers. She doesn't get tired of it though, especially since it's a name that she's happy about. It's not her real name, but it makes her feel as she's human. ]

And yes, I was! It really suits me. I was almost named Tiger Festival.

[ ...which is a ridiculous name, but she's still smiling anyway. Maybe she could have accepted that name if Cheria wasn't there to butt in. ]

[ She lowers her arm and smiles as she observes Geir's reaction. When she watched the sopherias become a blossomgale, she felt the same way. ]

That's how the sopherias spread their seeds. They usually become a blossomgale after they bathe in starlight after a few nights...

Nine... okay. The sopherias start with the letter S!

[ Just like her name too, which gets her a little excited. She's already crouching down before a patch of sopherias before waiting on any comment from Jude regarding her suggestion. ]

Nine and S, nine and S... [ She repeats it to herself in a sing-song way. ] That's like 9S! ♪

[ it's impossible not to smile around sophie. her cheerfulness and enthusiasm is contagious. he hums under his breath and smiles, light and easygoing. ]

That's right. Nine and S for 9S.

Tiger festival?

[ That's A Name indeed. Riko can't even imagine how would it work. If anything, Sophie is like a tiger cub...but that's the only connection she can make. ]

That's...

[ How is she supposed that it'd sound really weird without actually saying that. ]

Well, your current name suits you way better I think.

[ Nailed it? Maybe??? ]

This power of yours, though...I'm not sure about this traveling across the worlds thing, but wouldn't it be really great if you could show all these flowers to other people...beings...

[ Just whatever lives in other worlds. She hasn't read enough sci-fi works, apparently. ]
