Who: Sophie and You!
Where: Cliffside overlooking the beach
When: Days 119-122
Open/Closed: Open - feel free to contact me if you'd like a specific, closed prompt.
[ A telepathic voice message from Sophie will be going out to anyone near the vicinity of the beach: ]
If anyone's close by the beach, come find me. There's something I want to show you.
[ And that's all she's going to say about it. It's a surprise!
On a high cliffside overlooking the small bit of ocean that the island has remaining, colorful patches of flowers cover the area. Although, there's noticeably an even bigger number of purple ones for some reason. The little flower meadow didn't exist before, at least not prior to Sophie's arrival.
Initially, she was slower than others to be able to use her magic. Now it comes easily to her, being able to have patches of flowers materialize with a simple touch on the ground. She used her magic to create a meadow as close to resembling the one back home, on Lhant Hill. However, it does have a few small differences, such as a few moonflowers from recent happenings on the island. There's no tree to make a friendship pact on and there's no Foselos in the sky. And likely, over time, there will be some new additions to the meadow.
Anyone who decides to wander into the area will find Sophie quietly sitting by the edge of the cliff, staring out towards the small ocean and into space. She's not actually zoning out, but looking thoughtful more than anything. ]

he comes to a halt behind her, not wishing to startle her, but the the burst of purple color is quick to catch his eye. ]
... Were those flowers there beore?
no subject
She stands up from her spot, turning to look at him with a smile. Her spirits seem to be a lot higher, after their initial meeting. Must be the magic and the flowers. ]
No, they weren't.
[ She gestures to the area with her arms. ]
I made this with my magic! They're my babies!

[ there's a hint of amusement in his voice, but he's ridiculously endeared by both the flowers and her. ]
They're beautiful. And they look happy, too. You did a wonderful job.
[ jude decides to pat her head again, just because she seemed to hold a certain fondness for the gesture. a comfort.
an idea crosses his mind. ]
Hey, Sophie?

[ She always talked similarly of her gardens back home, referring to the flowers as her children. As he pats her head, she continues to beam proudly over her efforts. ]
What is it, Jude?

It's pretty impressive to her.]
Those flowers are the same as the one you gave me before, right? [She nods towards the purple flowers. They look similar enough to her at least.]

From where she's sitting, she looks up at the android. ]
Right. These flowers are called sopherias. We have flowers like these back where I'm from.

That's right, 2B. A friend of mine named me after this flower.

when he finally swoops in to land in the middle of the cliffside meadow with a thump, his reaction is everything Sophie probably hoped for. he stares around him wide-eyed, clearly delighted by this new development, and leans down to sniff at one of the flowers.]
What is-- when did this happen!?
no subject
[ This time, it's an unfamiliar scent that she picks up. Sophie is a lot more alert upon Geir's arrival, standing and turning abruptly as he swoops down. Most of the coven members she met so far appeared human. His appearance reminds her of the Chroma Dragons and they were quick to start fighting her and her friends.
But as she watches him sniff the flowers, she decides that he's a non-threat. She hopes his surprised reaction is a good kind of surprise. ]
Not long ago. I used my magic. Are you a dragon?
no subject
[Geir crouches down a bit so he can look at her eye to eye. this... human? is very small, maybe even the smallest person he's met in the coven so far. even with his chin nearly on the ground, they're not quite eye level.
it would have been hard for him not to notice her initial vigilant reaction, but he's not unused to other coven members being startled by him, and right now he's much too pleased with the flowers to mind. their rainbow of colors calls some parts of the bottom of the ocean to his mind, or perhaps a field from above in the spring. it's certainly not what he expected to find on a typical autumnal day on the Hub.]
I didn't know anyone could use magic to make whole flowers. Mine just helps them grow a little bit. Thank you!

she's close enough to the beach when she picks up on sophie's voice and makes her way there shortly, stopping at the edge of the meadow that she doesn't recognize. it's nice, though, and A2 has a feeling that it may be sophie's creation. the purple ones remind her of her hair.
A2 joins sophie at the cliff, sitting next to her and drawing one knee up to lean against. ]
Hey.
no subject
Hi, A2.
[ Before she can say anything else, she plucks one of the nearby purple flowers from the ground and holds it out towards A2. There's barely any hesitation or second thought as she makes the gesture. It seems like something that she was planning to do, for when she saw the android again.
Seeing flowers in bloom make people happy. Sophie knows it makes herself happy, for sure. She's not sure if it will for A2, but she wants to give her a gift. ]

no one has ever simply given her anything, at least not without her insisting on giving something back. but eventually, she reaches out to take it, holding the stem carefully in her fingers. ]
It's pretty. [ like her hair. like her. ] Thanks.

[ Riko doesn't actually give a response to the telepathic message, just murmurs to herself, surprised to hear a familiar voice. The beach isn't too far away from where she's now, so Riko heads out there right away, not expecting the sight waiting for her there.
Last time she's been here...the beach was nothing like this. How is it even possible for flowers to grow here, of all places? Riko realizes the silliness of the question in a world in which magic is real. After noticing Sophie sitting on the edge of the cliff, she comes closer, making sure that she won't step on any of the flowers. ]
Hello. I thought it was your voice. Is this what you wanted to show me?
no subject
[ As soon as she can feel Riko's presence coming close, Sophie tilts her head and smiles, looking up from where she's sitting. She beams proudly, feeling much happier than when she first arrived. No one from home showed up, to be alongside her in the coven. But her flowers are here now.
The hill doesn't exude the same eleth as back home, but she's happy about the meadow nonetheless. They're probably the closest thing that she has to home. ]
Yes, it is. I got my magic to work!
no subject
[ Riko was quite impressed before, but now that she knows the flowers appeared thanks to efforts of just one person...after the initial shock, a smile tugs at the corners of her lips and grows wider every second. ]
That's fantastic! I'm so glad. I've never seen such beautiful flowers. Do you know them?

So here he is, staring dismally at flowers and trying not to look terribly disappointed. They are nice flowers, the violet-purple ones even reminding him of the kind Gladio made him pick for Iris. The aroma is also inescapably soothing, unable to help inhaling it all in as he ventures a little closer. ]
Not what I was expecting... but it's not bad, I guess.
[ What else can he say about flowers without sounding completely embarrassing? His body crouches down to take a closer look, the tips of his fingers gently brushing across one of the soft petals. ]
Did you grow these out here?
[ Or is it part of her magic? Here he thought her abilities began and ended at punching. ]
no subject
[ As dismal as he might look at these flowers right now, Sophie manages to respond cheerfully. If he says it's "not bad", then clearly the opposite means it's good and she did a good job. It's no bed, but it might be a nice place to take a nap in... she did sleep for a thousand years on Lhant Hill. Though, her body was awfully damaged back then. ]
I did with my magic. I couldn't before, but now I can!
[ She's definitely a lot more in high spirits, than during her first several days on the hub island. All because of the flowers. ]
no subject
[ His fault for setting his expectations too high, but the aroma is nice, soothing. Noctis finds it easy to sink down on the patch, fingers lightly gliding over some of the petals. It's nothing he'd let himself do in front of the guys, but he figures the kid won't tell on him. ]
It's an okay trick. Makes everything look less...prison-y.
[ He's not sure how flowers will come in use in battle, but not everyone's a fighter. Some people just like making things for the sheer fun of it. ]

[ She's going to stop staring off into the distance and hop to her feet when she hears Jake's arrival. Smiling really wide, she's excited to introduce him to the sopherias as promised. His comment makes her pause, tilting her head... maybe a little concerned. Breathtaking, is it.
Expressions. ]
Are you still breathing okay?
no subject
Oh yes, I'm breathing just fine. It's a good thing! It means it's beautiful.
(no subject)
no subject
Wow! Oh, it's beautiful! [She hasn't made the connection between the flowers showing up and the girl there, and frankly she's so dumb and new enough here that this meadow could have been here all along for all that she knows? She runs a few steps into the meadow, spinning on one foot and laughing.] This is amazing! [She turns to the girl sitting at the cliff finally, grinning wide.] Excuse me! Did you call us here?
no subject
Watching the girl spin is kind of dizzying for a moment. Woah. That kind of energy reminds her of Pascal... ]
Yes, I did. I'm glad you like it!
