[So Jay may have pulled you discreetly aside some time over the last week or so and invited you to a particular location near the mountains, or you may have been dragged along by a friend. Either way, there's a small group of people forming in this forest clearing, Jay at the center, pacing back and forth as has become his tendency.

[It takes him a full minute to process what he's seeing. That's not what he expected at all. His expression flits from shock to his brows coming down. No matter what Alphonse is part of the team and he'll do what he can to help him.]

We're a group of people working together, not an army. It's only natural people will have other objectives and agendas outside of any missions or direct actions we're looking to take. So long as we are a team when we want to be. That's what matters.

[Shiro breathes out slowly. It's going to take some getting used to. But then, so does handling any new alien race. Just a shift in perspectives. He smiles just a little.]

It means we can be better about covering your back when you need back up. ...anyway, I agree with Geir, we need a set of goals. I think one of them should be finding out if her needing energy is part of a cycle. If this is the first time she's had this happen...just what caused that kind of drain?

[For the willingness to get back on track as much as anything. Al's said more than enough about himself and the sooner they can move on to other things, the better. He doesn't waste any time seizing the opportunity.]

We should add that to the list of questions to ask her for sure. If anything she's said is the truth then she should want us to know so we can be prepared to help stop it from happening again.

If it can't be stopped. She could at least try to work out a deal with anyone willing to help her. But that's if this is a cycle.

[Even if it is a sudden drain, a being of that kind of power might be more inclined to work deals. If only to spend fewer resources. Possibly.]

If she won't answer there might be evidence on the worlds we visit. She might just be harvesting from the same worlds over a period of time. Unfortunately, that's too early to tell.
