[So Jay may have pulled you discreetly aside some time over the last week or so and invited you to a particular location near the mountains, or you may have been dragged along by a friend. Either way, there's a small group of people forming in this forest clearing, Jay at the center, pacing back and forth as has become his tendency.

She believes in fate. Serving people is her purpose. "Any Mous without one has none." If Qri isn't what she claims to be--if she's someone to be opposed, rather than followed--then she was brought away from her world and original purpose, with no clear hope of returning, for no reason.

It can be frightening to think that you have no purpose. So frightening that instead of confronting the possibility, you choose to reject it entirely.

If Brie and Genette were really alone with nothing but Qri's story to believe in for a year, then I'm sure it must have been hard. I hope that we're able to help them too.
