[Now that everyone is back on the island hub, the work begins again. For at least the last couple of days Haru has been going in-between two gardens and making sure that she is prepared for the worst. One garden she hadn't even had a chance to start planting... the other? Well, it was in a sad state. The already sad looking mansion garden just looked sadder without her there to take care of it.

If one would happen to find her in the mansion garden, she will be on her hands and knees pulling a monstrous amount of weeds out of the garden. She looks a little worn out and perhaps that is to be expected for a huge garden that got completely out of hand while she was away.

At some point she is sending out a mental message to anyone in her vicinity:]

This is Haru speaking, if someone is free... could they come to the mansion garden? I think I may need a hand out here. Thank you!

[Later on in the day if someone were to find her in the garden by the outskirts of the forest, she is still preparing the ground and the soil for a project garden. It's a hard job to do by yourself, but Haru wasn't about to drag someone out here to do it with her if they didn't want to.]

[As promised, Haru is in the mansion garden some time in the mid-morning. Back in Aimintas, Haru has promised Jude that they would garden together and talk a little more about one another.

But the most important part? Haru promised to show Jude her tea. But that means clearing the weeds out of the way.

It seems she has a long road ahead of her before this garden is any sort of presentable. If at any point when Jude approaches her.... she may not notice.]

[ he spends a good minute or so just... observing haru work before strolling up to her, facing her back. jude doesn't mean to sneak up behind her. he really doesn't.

but he's happy to see her. he hasn't since arriving at the hub, and he wants to make good on their promise. ]

Need some help?

[It isn't much trouble really. Haru is always engrossed in her work. She's happiest when she's able to garden and able to take care of something.

It must be no surprise that she startles when Jude finally speaks up.]

Oh, you scared me there.

[But she laughs.]

I could use a hand if you don't mind.

[ If there is a garden, Julius (the resident tree) would definitely be there. They've talked a little about gardening and their plans. True to his word, he had gone and collected some seeds plus soil from the world they had just left.

Planting them would entail clearing the garden, however. His superhuman strength does help, but it may not be exactly what Haru is looking for when he's pulled up not only this bunch of weeds but the soil around them as well. ]

... Is this what I should be doing?

[Haru laughs a little as she turns. She is impressed that he got them at the root at the very least.

She bends over, pulling more weeds and little dirt herself.]

As long as you shake the soil back into the garden and make sure you aren't pulling anything but the weeds... I think you will be just fine, Julius-san.

I shall do that then.

[ Crouching down, he'll carefully sluice off whatever clumps he can dislodge. ]

These sure are persistent.

Think of weeds as the enemy of a garden. They grow and try to choke out the plants you want to grow. So of course they will be persistent if you don't take the measures to keep them out.

[She's untangling some plants from a weed currently.]

Unfortunately, we never know when we will be traveling between worlds... so my gardens suffer in the in-between time.

[After having asking Genette over the state Haru's gardens would be like, Nike was informed over them being alive, but was potentially filled with weeds that needed to be tended to. Nike had send Haru the message, knowing she would want to be forewarned over the state of her garden to be like, and all she had to do next was await for her garden SOS message. Which came a few days after everyone was settled and was hard at work on getting everything sorted out.

Nike had been using most of her time exploring after having occupied her space and got most of her things brought back from the Palai world sorted out. She had an idea where the important and known locations were from the other coven members and their telepathic messages. She's been paying special attention to whatever message would be in her surroundings, allowing it overtake her, as a way to kinda replace the more spiritual and worldly synchronized senses she was born with. She felt almost...naked, incomplete, even, by the loss of them.

Upon arriving to the garden with a canteen strapped onto her side, Nike will smile as she holds an umbrella over the hardworking Haru.]

Haru-nee, it's time to take a break! I brought some water and reinforcements for garden weeding!

[Hard at work as always, Haru was still weeding the garden when Nike approached. She was absolutely appreciative of the umbrella over her head and the shade that it is providing her.

She tosses a few weeds to the side before turing around.]

Nike-chan, I'm glad to see you here.

[Though... it doesn't look like Haru is ready for a break?]

You brought reinforcements?

[drizzle]

[It was hard not to smile upon seeing her. Too bad she was such a hardworker though.]

Yeah! I brought myself and my muscle, but most importantly...

[Extending her arm out to Haru.]

You can come out now.

[In no time at all, a small, round lump will form beginning from the back and side of her turtleneck while moving to her shoulder and reaching her forearm, it won't be long until a blue Palai child will pop up with a smile and movement of their tongue.]

Airis wants to help too. Don't you?

[The child will get out from under Nike's clothes and reach her hand as it looks up at Haru with clear interest in its golden eyes. What were they doing now?]

Oh, Airis. Hello little one.

[Haru's own Palai child is probably with Uncle Akira right now. She didn't want her getting too hot or too bored just sitting out here with her all day. So it's nice to see Airis.]

Well, I have something Airis can do, if she's up for it!

[There are flowers to be planted!! the Palai child would be perfect for that.]

[He doesn't answer Haru's message directly, but about half an hour after she sends it out he's coming up to the mansion garden, hands in pockets, surveying the work that's been done.]

Did you still need help?

[There is still a lot of garden to pull weeds at. She has had help here and there. But the truth of the matter is...is that this garden is huge.]

If you are offering, then yes.

[rebells]

Oh, did it sound like I was offering? I hadn't realized.

[He was, he's just being an asshole . . . he drops to the ground and starts pulling out weeds, anyway.]

How are you? Other than busy, of course.

[mapsio]

You know, Jay-san, you could just keep me company too.

[Though she's smiling, obviously very pelased that he is joining her.]

In good spirits, at the very least. Keeping busy with stuff like gardening gives you time to think. How are you?

[ percival stands amidst the garden, thoughtfully scrutinizing the soil and surroundings. he approaches haru, craning his head forward to see what she's doing. ]

And what exactly do you need?

I need help pulling the weeds, if you don't mind.

[She's still at it, determined to get as much as she can finished before the day is over.]

Though, the company is certainly nice too.

[ Hibiki doesn't waste time for a mental reply, but simply heads out to the mansion garden just as she asked. Holding a few clay flower pots he made sometime before when they were still in Aimintas, he approaches Haru, his smile growing wider when he sees how diligently she's been working. ]

Hello, may I assist you?

[ He should probably warn her that his knowledge on flowers and plants of any kind is rather limited...but maybe they'll be fine?! ]

[She is the most diligent when it comes to gardening. She knew this hobby of hers was pretty intense.]

Please, by all means. I have a lot of work to be done before this garden is presentable by any means.

[She's so happy that people were willing to help. It wouldn't get done without them.]

I need to go to the other garden today too, do you have time?

[ He might know little about gardening, but definitely enough to tell that she'll need all the help she can get if she wants to make this garden presentable before their next mission. Nothing has been confirmed, but their return here was more or less sudden, so... ]

I do. I am free tomorrow as well. And the day after tomorrow. How long might it take to get rid of these weeds?

Truthfully I don't know how long this will take. The gardens were left unattended the entire time we were in Aimintas. So it might take an entire week to clean them up again.

[She was determined to get this garden presentable. She was determined for it to provide food as well...it would just be a big help to the coven.]

Boy, this sure does take me down memory lane. I haven't done gardening since I was a wee sprout myself! I'm no green thumb but... if you really don't mind, I'll help.

I don't mind at all, and anything you don't know... I'll be more than willing to instruct.

[She pats a spot on the ground next to her. Motioning Jake to join her.]

Well, I only really know the basics... I'm good at identification, though! But I guess that doesn't mean a lot in the planting process.
