Who: Haru & YOU.
Where: Haru's Garden on the outskirts of the forest or the mansion garden.
When: Day 88 ( pls correct me if i'm wrong on the day)

[Now that everyone is back on the island hub, the work begins again. For at least the last couple of days Haru has been going in-between two gardens and making sure that she is prepared for the worst. One garden she hadn't even had a chance to start planting... the other? Well, it was in a sad state. The already sad looking mansion garden just looked sadder without her there to take care of it.

If one would happen to find her in the mansion garden, she will be on her hands and knees pulling a monstrous amount of weeds out of the garden. She looks a little worn out and perhaps that is to be expected for a huge garden that got completely out of hand while she was away.

At some point she is sending out a mental message to anyone in her vicinity:]

This is Haru speaking, if someone is free... could they come to the mansion garden? I think I may need a hand out here. Thank you!

[Later on in the day if someone were to find her in the garden by the outskirts of the forest, she is still preparing the ground and the soil for a project garden. It's a hard job to do by yourself, but Haru wasn't about to drag someone out here to do it with her if they didn't want to.]

But have you been taking more than ten minute breaks under the shady areas though!? You have such a beautiful white skin. What will you do if you get sunburned!?

[Haru think of your beauty as much as your health. After all!]

What about sitting down? Have you done any of that at all?

I'll take more breaks? More frequently? I am wearing a sun hat for blocking the sun as best I can?

[Haru has been Bad.]

[Haru has been very bad, indeed.]

Of course you're going to take more breaks because we're going to stay here with you for the rest of the day! Airis and me, both.

[There was a reason she came well-prepared with items that could look after more than two.]

Think of us as your personal attendants! I mean, it's something every successful businessman needs in their lives, right? It's really no wonder you've been so hard at work. You definitely need us to help you as much as you're helping this garden.

[Now the next question was: should Nike help her by making a paper fan or give her some water next?]

Nike-chan...

[Haru might be a little stunned?!]

First lets just sit down together. I want to sit down and take a longer break. Maybe a food break? Then we can get to replanting more things in the garden and maybe walking up to the garden by the forests edge. I need to check on what I need to do to prepare for leaving that garden to grow too.

[A wide smile will be given after listening to Haru's ideas for the rest of their day.]

That sounds like a very good idea. Let's have our hour long lunch break together. We can talk too.

[Returning her attention to the hardworking Airis at the distance, Nike will raise her voice for her to return for lunch, but will be met with a later gesture because she was busy in the middle of finishing up. It was all Nike needed to know before she began to showcase the picnic lunch she had packed: salad with pieces of fruit and seeds, seafood and vegetable soup, and fruit sandwiches.]

The bread is from her world. I need to finish it before it goes bad. The weather isn't helping. [With a weak smile.] What are you in the mood for?

I think I want to try the fruit sandwiches first. Those look really refreshing. Then maybe the soup.

[It would be an odd combination of food. But it sounded delicious nonetheless.]

We can finish it together! Does that sound okay?

[A weird combination of food only proves the limited supply they have to work with. She'll offer Haru the fruit sandwiches.]

I brought cups we can use to hold the soups with.

[More reusable items she had barter for courtesy of their previous trip. Items she was determine to dispose of in the next world.]

Sure! It's always better to eat with company. The food tastes better whenever I do.

[It won't be long before Nike was done arranging everything. Airis will join in after a while, a look of excitement over the meal evident on her face.]

Ah, look at our strong little farmer in the making. I think she's earned a treat later, don't you?

[Haru smiles at Airis fondly.]

[Airis will lift up her head in beaming with pride on having been praised. She'll head on over to her side to rub her head against Haru's shoulder.]

She did work pretty hard today.

[It was always good to remind the little lizard the reason for her rewards. Nike will reach for a jar filled with jelly. Created from the fruits of the orchard. Getting a spoon full out, she'll put it on a piece of bread small enough for Airis to eat. The lizard will eagerly reach for her dessert once it was offered to her with even more excitement.]

She really likes fruit! It's almost like candy to her or something.

At the very least they have good eating habits.

[She takes a bite of the fruit sandwich, humming happily. It was crisp and fresh. Just how she likes her fruit!

She also pats Airis on the head, what a good child.]

It's really encouraging to see so many people wanting to help with the gardens.

Thankfully.

[Unlike certain entitled brats from her world! She had wanted to utter those thoughts out loud, but she didn't want to mention Livius around Airis. It was a detail she can live to know without.

All she can do is enjoy their meal for a bit. An enthusiastic nod will be given.]

It really is! I always knew everyone would want to work together to increase our odds of survival. Gardening is one of the key items we can't do without. Are you thinking of extending it to other areas too? I know someone mentioned a grain field once on the message Jay and I cooperated on.

Mm, if I can find enough space and something to garden... of course. We need more variety in our diets after all.

[She's...silent for a moment.]

If I were to ever leave this place I would want the remainder of the people here to have something to live off of.

Then let's head over to the wheat fields next time! To check it out and see if we can make another garden specifically for it?

[Unfortunately, she'll notice the silence, gaining her curiosity. What was Haru thinking about? Maybe it was fortunate their telepathic channel weren't open because her next words will catch her off guard.]

[Enough to leave her feeling silent. How to respond to this? The thought of losing Haru was one she hasn't considered, not even after losing track of Riku and a great deal of her other friends. Why did it feel like Haru was always going to remain when other people have left? Without another thought, Nike will huddle over to Haru's side and wrap on arm around her, offering her a half hug.]

....thank you for thinking about everyone, Haru-nee. You're very kind and...

[How to express her feelings? She wanted to brush her feeling off by telling Haru to not think about it, but she couldn't. No matter how much it'll hurt to lose her, Haru had to go back to make her dreams come true. All she can do was hold her while trying her best to force a smile.]

Don't worry. Your hardwork will not be in vain. I'm sure you'll be blessed for everything you've done for us.

Mm, we can! We will. Then we'll find a way to keep the garden's protected while we're gone to other worlds.

[Haru is taken aback for a moment. Not in a bad way. Just, shocked? She never really thinks much about when she does these kinds of things. They just come natural to her. She wants to be as helpful as she can.

She wants to be better than her father. Also living up to her name as a Phantom Thief— the heroine she's always wanted to be.]

Nike-chan... I don't know what to say to that.

[Though she is smiling and she moves a little more into Nike's hug.]

I just wanted to help everyone, that's all. I don't require anything in return.

I'll leave the brainstorming task to the professionals!

[Which she means individuals like Jay and Nines to figure something out. They're the most reliable people she knows, next to Haru and the rest of her friends too.]

Unless we find our own inspiration in the next world.

[She'll be on the look out for the ounce of inspiration. Whatever it may be. All she cares for it to be useful in some way.

Nike will remain quiet, listening to Haru's words. It wasn't hard for her to understand its meaning. To feel useful and be different were ideas she can appreciate especially from those who were genuinely the selfless types.]

To be fair, everything I said was more of a reflex than anything else. I had no idea what to say neither. To that. About you disappearing too.

[With a weak, bashful smile.]

...I already lost friends. I know it'll happen sooner or later, but...I don't...really want you or all those I've come to care about going home before I do.

[The loss of Riku and Camille was harder than she expected it to be. It stung to have lost them when she had been initially curious about them and their respectful worlds.]

That's the way I feel too, Nike-chan. I don't want to lose my friends...

[Like when Jumin disappeared the first time, that was hard on her after having known him for that short while. John and Dave too, they left so soon. Yet it still hurt.]

I don't want to disappear and leave all of my friends behind, but I know there is a job to finish at home... and I don't think any of us can go to another world.

[She'll nod her head in understanding, knowing the way Haru felt over the heavy burden it leaves for friends to leave. With a weak smile.]

I think most of us are in the same situation. Having unfinished business that needs to be completed at some point.

[In her case, she needs to get married to the World King, give him children, and live happily ever after to secure her country's future. All of it will be difficult. She needs to master her lessons and fall in love with the individual in question. With the brat who has the personality of a sadistic pervert for someone so young. A mental sigh may just escape at the thought, but.]

All we can do is enjoy our stay and the company for as long as we can. Do everything you want to do, not what our kidnappers are expecting of us unless it is absolutely necessary to. [Scratching the side of her head with a sheepish smile.] At least, it's what I plan to do...
