For characters that were on the TDM and who were not accepted/didn't app, these characters will be considered dropped characters that were magicked away.

Night has fallen upon everyone. It's thus far been an eventful day -- you've met some new people, discovered some new aspects of yourself that weren't there before you appeared here (however that might have happened). The original inhabitants of the island have been working hard to prepare a few things. One activity might have been one you were a part of, but there's still time to get your hands dirty. A ▢ Brie has rolled out a large copper pot and created a pit on the beach. It's unrealistic to think everyone can subsist on the few foods she's collected from other words and boar jerky alone. She's got a few boar carcasses sitting on the beach that need attending to as well. Your characters can help feed themselves and others, and here's what needs to be done: Fire needs to be started for cooking the meat AND a large bonfire for light and warmth. The large copper bowl needs to be filled with water. Crabs need to be bravely collected from the bath house for boiling. The boar needs to be either cut up for kebabs or stuck through. Does your character know anything about spit-roasting? Any other helpful magical skills are welcome to help make food. Post feasting, there are dozens of crabs and a pile of roasted boar meet that are up for eating. Even if you didn't offer to help in making any of the food, they're open to eat it -- even if the true helpers may give you dirty looks. The boar is fine, if not a little bland and chewy, but it's probably better than the jerky. The crab is delicious, if not a little tasteless...there problem with the crab isn't exactly the taste, though. B ▢ The crab isn't a species that's immediately edible for most species, though your character will grow to get used to it eventually. For now, the meat isn't settling well within your character's system. Your character will experience sweats, a high fever, blurred vision, potential vomiting, hives...it's very obvious their body is rejecting the unfamiliar meat. This may also cause a bit of an issue with your character's powers. They're still getting physically and mentally acclimated to these new changes, so expect their telepathy and magic to go a little haywire.

It's almost completely dark outside when the next event of the evening happens. You're living your life when you see it out of the corner of your eye -- it's absolutely hard to miss. What you see is a large lit caravan, larger than even an army tank. It's bright white and shining, covered with golden, ornate details that emanate an even more dazzling sparkle. The entire thing is aglow, and it's quickly coming towards the large bonfire that's been made. It's not rolling across the sand, but instead it's floating, and so is a matching trunk that's sailing along next to a figure beside the caravan. C ▢ A tall, slender woman has also come along with the large caravan, quickly opening the trunk that eventually lands on the sand with a large thud. She's handing out sacks, very similar to the ones previously in the large lobster cage. These contain a parka, a type of candy of your choice, a bottle of water, a large shard from a broken mirror and a letter rolled up and bound with a roll of twine. There are two other thread options associated with this prompt: Genette's top level and her telepathy training post. Around the same time as Genette is handing out this new little goody bag, you suddenly receive a telepathic message. It might seem a little strange at first -- but on that note, what about tonight isn't strange? D ▢ The telepathic message your character will receive is a simple one: Hello. It shows up in text form across your character's line of vision and it doesn't go away until they respond back, though the message that's sent out won't go to the original telepath. Instead it will ping pong to a random person in the group. You've made a new friend! After you've met Genette, she's also got a few more supplies that she pulls out a small door in the base of the caravan. She's insistent that you only get two items, since there aren't exactly a lot of them to go around! E ▢ The last of the starter supplies are being handed out, and these are items that are more cumbersome or rare -- they may not be immediately useful for your character, but maybe you can make use of them somehow, whether eventually in another world or with your power. An electronic/technology: these can be as obvious as an MP3 player, as useless as a garage door motor or as scandalous as a Hitachi Magic Wand. If it can be powered by electricity or batteries, there's a tub of them. They're also partially charged if they don't need constant electricity to work. A fashion accessory: there are a lot of these, surprisingly. Flower crowns, belts, bras, shoes, earrings, other types of jewelry. Your character can look cute while suffering from crab vomiting. Books and stationary: maps of various worlds, books written in a myriad of languages (maybe even one you recognize!), writing paper, ink pens, gel pens, stickers. Any kind of stationary can be found here. Other household items: this can include cleaning supplies, furniture, and other miscellaneous goods. These won't be personal affects from your character's home, but they may be useful! Feel free to come up with unusual or alien items -- these have come from all over the universe, remember!

As the night winds down, it's recommended by Brie that you should probably go to be in your hut -- or at the very least get somewhere inside. There are a lot of people around the camp, however, so it's no surprise that there are a few people waiting around to get their fill of food and supplies before heading to bed. The noise of the new members and the light of the fire have attracted a very large pack of boars, who you'll later find make routine trips to the beach every night. Boar mating season has made the wild hogs rather testy, and the smell of food -- even if it's their own boar brethren -- have made them even more volatile. F ▢ If your character isn't quick to get inside tonight, they're likely to get a boar charging at them. The chances are doubled if they happen to be holding onto a food item. Female boars can leave a few bruises and trample you, but beware the males -- they've got tusks. However, it's not like staying up at night doesn't have its advantages. Once midnight hits, another species of animal makes its regular rounds across the base camp. In the sky, characters can see an Aurora Borealis-like sight. Instead of being dancing green and blue lights, however, the reality is that they are a massive species of space worm, and hundreds are wiggling past on their way to travel back home. They're shimmering and in every color imaginable, lighting up the sky with their magnificent hues. G ▢ The space worms operate outside the natural barrier of the hub, but they still are in close enough proximity to shed a film as they travel. If you're still awake, boars or no, you'll be in the middle of a shower. The film sheds from the worms and enters the atmosphere, creating multi-colored, sweet-smelling mists of worm water vapor. Worm water vapor is kind of weird, but it's also pretty cool. It's also calming, and that's a bonus. Inhale too much and you might become a little too calm.

A. ALL HAIL YOUR NEW CRAB OVERLORD

[ Well, Ann is going to have nothing to do with carving up those boars—this city girl gets a little queasy just thinking about it—so she's going to take Option B and attempt to catch some crabs for boiling. Which is why she finds herself in the bathhouse again, surrounded by a sea of angry crabs that have trapped her on some sort of bench. Again.

This time, however, she has a better grasp on her magical ability—well, okay, so she knows it's there, at least. Getting it to work is a whole different endeavor.

1. Which is why she looks a little constipated right now, her face screwed up and fists clenched in a vain attempt to force her charm ability. This is a charming face, isn't it? The crabs don't seem to think so. ]

Ugh, come on! Why isn't this working? I'm totally charming!

[ Or 2. she's finally found success! And apparently success comes with a swarm of beguiled crabs following her all the way from the bathhouse back to the beach, like a trail of ducklings behind their mama. Except the ducklings are crabs. And the mama is Ann, who looks triumphant, if not a little harried. It's quite a sight. ]

E. SHUT UP, YOU WERE BORN IN LIKE 2000

[ Ann is really just going through the electronics bin in order to find something that'll charge her phone (all those levels in Kwazy Cupcake, wasted...), but so far she's coming up with bupkis. It's kind of disheartening, really—until she finds her digging out a veritable fossil: a Gameboy Advance. ]

Whoa, for real?! I've never even seen one of these in person...

F. YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW

[ Ann has finally managed to make her charm powers works... except now they're working a little too well. Maybe it's a consequence of the crabs she ate earlier, but she's currently charming the hell out of these boars, and it's a problem. They're are all over her, and they have a look in their beady little eyes that makes her incredibly uncomfortable. ]

Um, hey, you—can I get a little help over here?

[ Her boar pack probably won't take kindly to any approaching strangers, however. ]

[Yang had avoided the crab meat--don't ask why, perhaps she'd had her fill of seafood when she'd been traveling by boat. Whatever the case, she was thankfully NOT suffering from crab poisoning. She'd been hanging around outside just to check out the view of this new world. Taking a little after-dinner walk along the beach.

She stopped when she noticed the boars, though didn't get too close until she heard someone call out uncomfortably.]

It's Yang. Why are they gathered around you like that?

[She takes a step closer and one of the boars turns towards her with a huff. Yang stops, holding up her hands. She didn't look nervous, like one probably SHOULD.]

Uh...woah there.

[pussywhips]

[ It takes Ann a second to realize that Yang is probably this girl's name... but it's already too late now. The boars around her shift restlessly, as if they're out for blood and all they need is a reason. ]

Wait! Uh.

[ She says to... the boar, throwing a hand out as if that'll have any effect whatsoever. Is she trying to reason with wild animals now?? God, if only she could figure out how to turn this charm thing off... though that's probably a worse idea. Wouldn't they just turn on her too? In any case, the boars aren't charging Yang... yet. ]

I have a charm power, but I think it went a little... overboard.

[Yang doesn't move, thinking the girl is talking to her. Plus, it feels like a good thing not to move if the boars are going to start a rampage. They could hurt the girl and while Yang is pretty sure she can fight one or two boars--a whole pack of them seems a bit much even for her.]

I see...well they don't just seem to like you but want to keep you away from anyone else. I might be able to scatter them...but it could also cause a stampede.

[ It's definitely a sudden reversal of fortunes. But hey, Ann would rather be the queen of this crustacean monarchy than have to run away from them in the nude. In fact, now that they're not trying to snip any of her fingers and toes off, she doesn't really mind having them around. They're kind of... cute? Maybe? ]

Oh, hey, Haru!

[ When she stops in her tracks to talk to Haru, her crab army scuttles around her in a loose circle. Ann looks down at them, as if surprised that they're still there. ]

Oh, yeah... I have this charm ability, so I was totally able to charm them! Would've been kinda nice to know that before, right? [ Welp... ]

[ a grin is tugging up on his face and he just sort of tilts his head as he comes closer. ]

But hey, at least it's better than the alternative—which she'd experienced herself not very long ago. She can't deny that it's an upgrade. ]

[ She sighs, her little crab army scuttling to a halt around her now that she's stopped to talk to Akira. ]

[ charm, huh. it's definitely a word for it. akira glances from ann back towards the crabs, marveling at how well-trained they are. morgana could definitely take lessons from them, that was for certain. ]

[ his hand cups the back of his neck and he laughs, softly, looking back up to his friend. ]

It seems like you're adjusting well. [ to the powers, to the crabs, to the island. he means a lot by that. ]

[ Nice. It takes her brain a second to catch up to her excitement, and she looks back over at the stranger who approached her, her eyes wide. ]

And oh, I know that series. First episode was L'inizio di una grande - [ wait, that's not how languages work here; giorno frowns, tries again. ]

- anyway, the point is, the Game Boy is fairly new. But Pokemon isn't as popular back home as it had been in other countries. I think when it first came out last year - 2000 - everybody watched it, and then sometime around the beginning of the year it just lost popularity.

[ a pause, and then he adds, with a grimace, ] Probably because the dubbing was terrible. It would've been better received had they chosen to depict it with the solemnity of a proper drama.

( The best place for an accidental pyromaniac is the bathhouse -- the chances of catching anything on fire in here are next to none. The heat and moisture might be cons -- very big cons, actually -- but it's better than setting anything else ablaze.

It's also a place where you see some of the weirder things the island has to offer, including a girl trying to....actually, he has no idea what she's trying to do. Her face is squished and she's talking to crabs. )

What exactly isn't working? ( Sorry if a sweaty dude coming out of nowhere is a surprise, but at least he's clothed -- though that might be a stupid idea in a humid bathhouse. )

[ She's so focused on charming the hell out of these crabs that she doesn't realize she's being approached by a sweaty dude until he starts talking—and then she proceeds to almost fall off her perch in surprise, breaking her concentration. ]

Whoa, hey! Don't sneak up on me like that.

[ She puts a hand over her hammering heart and looks over at the stranger—but hey, she can't really fault him for being fully clothed since she is too. Then she sighs... deeply. ]

I'm trying to charm them... but they're not buying it! [ Maybe if you didn't make that face, Ann... ]

( He might have said something like sorry -- might being the operative word -- but consider him even more intrigued by what's going on here. )

Charm them? ( He toes at a stray aggressive crab trying to pull at his pant leg. Emil certainly wouldn't want to interact with these creepy creatures more than he had to. ) I'm guessing that's some sort of magic nonsense.

( Not that your magic is nonsense...more like it's all nonsense. )

[ Having gotten in here just shortly before Ann, Midoriya has been half watching her as she attempted to gather crabs, tempted to offer her help, but... well. Being surrounded by new people with no familiar faces has him feeling exceptionally shy, and waffles back and forth between the many anxieties of to help or not to help. But once he realizes the poor girl has been utterly surrounded by crustaceans, he kinda can't HELP but want to help her. And also.... her exclamation has him chuckling a little. Approaching with a bit of driftwood in his hand, he pokes into the hoard of crabs. ] S-sorry guys, breaking this one up. [ He manages to scatter most of them, but some of the braver ones start nipping at his ankles, which doesn't seem to bother him too much. ] You okay? [ He asks, smiling. Just like All Might!!! Except not really, as the smile seems dry. He's still learning. ]

[ Maybe she's still a little worked up over the crabs and their resistance to her (overwhelming) allure, but she turns on the newcomer with a thunderous expression. ]

[ Those were her crabs! She was thisclose to charming the heck out of them—that one was totally about to swoon and now it's scuttling away! Okay, maybe not... seeing the smile on this guy's face just makes her sigh, her shoulders slumping in defeat. He was obviously just trying to help. ]

Sorry... I'm fine, I just can't get it to work! [ Explanation... not forthcoming. She just tugs on her pigtails and frowns at the crabs nipping at his ankles. ]

[ He pauses a second, and assuming her affirmation, he continues. ] Don't you think it'd be kind of hard to charm a lot of crabs at once? Maybe just focus on one?
