[ if you’ve been walking around shehui the past few days, you’ve likely been passed a flyer by chika, riko, dia or ruby that seems to be advertising some sort of concert. as a matter of fact, that’s exactly what’s happening - the night before sunsu, the members of the school idol group aqours currently in the coven will be hosting their first live in a new world to celebrate the holiday season! that much is outlined on the flyer as a subtitle, along with cute designs and the date and time for the show. it’s all set out to be very exciting, so why not show up?

it’s a bit chilly on the night of the live, but comfortable enough that being dressed for the weather should be enough. glowsticks in orange, pink, red and magenta are complementary for all attendees, so feel free to take one as you enter the venue. there seems to be plenty of people interested in the idea of an idol performance - hopefully you’ve gotten a good space to watch!

the stage lights dim for a moment - when they brighten again, the idols in question have taken the stage in their own personalized festive costume. once they’ve taken position, the music for the first song begins. of course, there’s proper choreography to go right along with it, and although they may not be a full group, it’s a solid performance!

when the crowd has died down from their cheering after their final pose, the lights turn to them. ]

Hello everyone! We’re Aqours, a band of school idols from a high school known as Uranohoshi Girls High! It’s far, far away, but we’re still proud to represent our wonderful school. Sadly, there are only four out of nine of us here tonight, but… we’ll do our best, okay? Hanamaru-chan, Yoshiko-chan, You-chan, Mari-chan, and Kanan-chan… they’re all here with us in spirit. With that, let us introduce ourselves!

Good evening! My name is Riko Sakurauchi and I’m a second year student at Uranohoshi Girls High and a member of a school idol group Aqours. Thank you so much for coming and please enjoy the show!

G-G-Good evening! I-I’m Ruby Kurosawa, a first year at Uranohoshi Girls High... Um… I-I really hope you like the outfits I made for us today. I worked really hard on them... And because you came to support us here, I’ll do my Rubesty for you, too! Ehehe...

Good evening, everyone! Thank you for joining us tonight. I am Dia Kurosawa, a third year and the student council president at Uranohoshi Girls High. Though we are not able to be with our full group tonight, we appreciate your support!

Is everyone having a good evening? This is Chika Takami here, resident school idol, leader of Aqours and second year at Uranohoshi Girls High! We’re here to give you a great show tonight, so sing along with us, will you? Even if you don’t know the words, everyone can join in! This is a time to put all your worries behind you and have fun!

[ the next two songs serve as a calming scene and a finale respectively, with a proper goodbye and thank you to the audience between them. it’s a little short as far as lives go, but there’s a parting promise to have more fun on stage in the future.

Mmhm. You get a big trophy and a flag, and some prize money... But the biggest part is having your school's name go down in school idol history. That's what makes the Love Live so important, especially to us...

[ she looks a bit sad for a moment, but tries to shake it off. uranohoshi is depending on them to win at the love live so they can save it from closing down, just like μ's did for their school. ]

It's okay... I guess. I'm not very good at it, though.

[ It's a little difficult to feign being impressed by all that, but it's important to her, so he tries to keep a serious face. It's not like he isn't ridiculously into his own things himself. Just replace idol competition with fishing tournament, and he can see why winning would be a big deal. Not to mention, considering how broke they are after Insomnia's destruction, he can really use a big chunk of prize money. ]

Hope you win it when you go back then. I'll root for you from another dimension.

[ Assuming any of them ever go back, but he doesn't want to think of a possibility where they don't ever return home to their worlds. No matter what it takes, he'll get her back home, especially after watching that sad expression briefly flicker over her face. That doesn't belong on any kid, idol or not. ]

And could practice some time, if you want? Kind of like a game of hide and go seek.

[ Except she has the clear advantage, and he's likely to give up after a solid minute of trying to look for in order to nap somewhere as is his way. ]

[ she appreciates the effort, and definitely can't tell that it's feigned! ruby takes most things at face value, so if he looks impressed, she'll understand it as such. as he speaks, her smile grows into something much more excitable. ]

Wow... I bet we're the first school idols ever to have support from that far away! [ not even saint snow could boast that... or μ's! ] Thanks!

[ at the very least, aqours will go down in history that way. it makes her determined to go back home, too - she needs to share how she's grown as an idol. she thinks about his suggestion for a moment, but ultimately nods. ]

That sounds like fun. [ she even giggles! ] I like hide-and-seek.

You're going to make me be the first one to do the seeking, aren't you?

[ Can she hear the groan in his voice, but a promise is a promise. He does want to cheer her up and take her mind off of the fact that she's been kidnapped here along with the rest of them, but he's not exactly the best at accomplishing that feat. ]

Fine, but loser buys the other a milkshake after.

[ Not that he'd actually let her pay. Not that he'd actually win, either, but he holds his hand out anyway to solidify their 'deal.' He needs to take his own mind off all this kidnapping business, too. ]

[ it's a bit nervous, but that gets a cute little giggle out of ruby. you're funny, noct. ]

Maybe. [ it's likely that she'll make it fair later, but the idea is too funny for her to pass up for now. ] Um... Okay! It's a promise!

[ jokes on you, noct. ruby always keeps her promises... though she does look a bit hesitant at the whole "initiating physical contact" thing. she looks down at his hand, gulps, and shakily reaches out to meet his hand. ]

[ A quick shake and that's over and done with. His own smile is equally nervous and faint, but he's determined to keep her distracted from all this, ease the tension a bit for the both of them. Besides, hiding or seeking, he definitely doesn't intend to lose. ]

Guess I should find my friend now before he gets himself kicked out.

[ Or possibly save him from looming rejection. ]

Just send me a mental text whenever you want to train.

[ As strange as it is to receive them, it's not like he can think of any better ways for her to get a hold of him. Being this far out from any cell towers is the true meaning of suffering. ]
