[ if you’ve been walking around shehui the past few days, you’ve likely been passed a flyer by chika, riko, dia or ruby that seems to be advertising some sort of concert. as a matter of fact, that’s exactly what’s happening - the night before sunsu, the members of the school idol group aqours currently in the coven will be hosting their first live in a new world to celebrate the holiday season! that much is outlined on the flyer as a subtitle, along with cute designs and the date and time for the show. it’s all set out to be very exciting, so why not show up?

it’s a bit chilly on the night of the live, but comfortable enough that being dressed for the weather should be enough. glowsticks in orange, pink, red and magenta are complementary for all attendees, so feel free to take one as you enter the venue. there seems to be plenty of people interested in the idea of an idol performance - hopefully you’ve gotten a good space to watch!

the stage lights dim for a moment - when they brighten again, the idols in question have taken the stage in their own personalized festive costume. once they’ve taken position, the music for the first song begins. of course, there’s proper choreography to go right along with it, and although they may not be a full group, it’s a solid performance!

when the crowd has died down from their cheering after their final pose, the lights turn to them. ]

Hello everyone! We’re Aqours, a band of school idols from a high school known as Uranohoshi Girls High! It’s far, far away, but we’re still proud to represent our wonderful school. Sadly, there are only four out of nine of us here tonight, but… we’ll do our best, okay? Hanamaru-chan, Yoshiko-chan, You-chan, Mari-chan, and Kanan-chan… they’re all here with us in spirit. With that, let us introduce ourselves!

Good evening! My name is Riko Sakurauchi and I’m a second year student at Uranohoshi Girls High and a member of a school idol group Aqours. Thank you so much for coming and please enjoy the show!

G-G-Good evening! I-I’m Ruby Kurosawa, a first year at Uranohoshi Girls High... Um… I-I really hope you like the outfits I made for us today. I worked really hard on them... And because you came to support us here, I’ll do my Rubesty for you, too! Ehehe...

Good evening, everyone! Thank you for joining us tonight. I am Dia Kurosawa, a third year and the student council president at Uranohoshi Girls High. Though we are not able to be with our full group tonight, we appreciate your support!

Is everyone having a good evening? This is Chika Takami here, resident school idol, leader of Aqours and second year at Uranohoshi Girls High! Yeah, well, your team mom's been trying to keep me out of trouble so I figured I'd show up. I'm Amanda.

[ooc: i'm SO sorry this got totally lost and you are free to drop it if you're no longer interested! i just didn't want to leave it hanging once i realized it got swept up. sorry about that! ]

Team mom? Oh, you mean Dia-san? Do you two know each other?

[ there's no one else who could be the Team Mom but dia... ]

I'm Chika Takami! It's so nice to meet you, Amanda-chan!

[ ooc: 'eeeeey let's keep it up Amanda needs to time travel back to happier tags. ]

Yeah, Dia! We've, uh, run into each other a few times. Guess we're friends at this point.

[ Obviously Chika would know who she's talking about. ]

Dia-san might seem harsh at times, but she's a really wonderful person, isn't she? She has such a kind heart, it's impossible not to want to be her friend.

[ it's clear that chika has nothing but high praise, cheeks glowing with both pride and adrenaline from the concert. ]

You guys really are tight. Oh, and I've met Ruby too, but she's harder to get close to, like a shy puppy or something.

[ Or some kind of... screaming bird? ]

But yeah, Dia is uptight in the caring way. Anyways, that was pretty great! I liked the dance routine.

Dia-san is one of my best friends in the whole world! Ruby-chan, too, but she is shy. Once you get to know her well enough, though, she really starts to come out of her shell. Then she's unstoppable!

[ seriously, witnessing a fired up ruby sure is a treat not everyone gets to see. ]

Anyway, thank you so much! We worked especially hard on the choreography. The one who usually coordinates it for us — Kanan-chan is her name — is back home, so it was tough... Looks like our hard work paid off, though.

I kinda watched Ruby practicing her dancing without her noticing the other day. I can see how dedicated she is.

[ Dance is one of the few things in life that Amanda gives any effort. ]

And with fewer people than usual too, right? So it's all the more impressive that it went pretty well.

Really? Aah, she'd be so embarrassed... ! It'll be our little secret. She really does give everything her all.

[ chika presses a finger to her lips and winks. ]

Yeah. There are usually the nine of us, but... well, we got separated.

[ as much as she tries to fend it off, there's still a little sadness in her smile. ]

I'm sure you know how it is. Did you get separated from your friends, too?

Oh, no, she caught me and freaked out eventually. It was funny even if I felt a little bad for interrupting.

[ Vanishingly little guilt, but still guilt. ]

A whole nine... all singing and dancing.

[ She kinda wants to see that, honestly. ]

Yeah, I don't have any of my crew here. It sucks having to figure out who's reliable all over again.

[ she tilts her head. ]

Are you part of some type of club, or... ?

No, I just - slang, y'know.

[ Rollin' with your crew. ...she's cool right? ]

[ chika laughs. kind of awkwardly. ]

Anyway, I hope you get to see them again soon, but in the meantime, maybe we can be friends, too! Any friend of Dia-san and Ruby-chan is a friend of mine, right?

[ Amanda would love to see her friends, even if that means dragging them here on some dumb adventures, but... ]

You guys really are a pretty tight unit, huh? Sure, sounds great. I'll have to chat with all of you eventually.

[ if mari were here, she'd surely arrange a tea party for all of them. that would be fun. ]

Yeah! Like I said, we're best friends. There's nothing that could separate us. Not even being stuck here.

[ Amanda will bring the booze. ]

Jeez, awesome. You're lucky you've got a few friends here to start with.

[ amanda over here encouraging underage drinking..... ]

I know. I really am lucky.

We miss home, but... this is so much better than being trapped in such a strange place alone. I can't imagine how hard that might be.

[ chika's smile is a little sad. ]

Still... If only all of us were here.

Well now, I wouldn't say I'm alone... although yeah, it was pretty touch and go at first.

[ Bullheaded confidence got her through, at least. ]

[ there's a thoughtful pause before chika replies. ]

You're a really positive person, aren't you, Amanda?

[ chika's eyes are practically sparkling. she loves that. ]

Well, it's that or roll over all depressed and useless.

And I figure, my friends back home are probably fine.

Still, you're making a choice to be positive! That's not always an easy thing to do, especially under circumstances like these. I think it's pretty admirable.
