[ if you’ve been walking around shehui the past few days, you’ve likely been passed a flyer by chika, riko, dia or ruby that seems to be advertising some sort of concert. as a matter of fact, that’s exactly what’s happening - the night before sunsu, the members of the school idol group aqours currently in the coven will be hosting their first live in a new world to celebrate the holiday season! that much is outlined on the flyer as a subtitle, along with cute designs and the date and time for the show. it’s all set out to be very exciting, so why not show up?

it’s a bit chilly on the night of the live, but comfortable enough that being dressed for the weather should be enough. glowsticks in orange, pink, red and magenta are complementary for all attendees, so feel free to take one as you enter the venue. there seems to be plenty of people interested in the idea of an idol performance - hopefully you’ve gotten a good space to watch!

the stage lights dim for a moment - when they brighten again, the idols in question have taken the stage in their own personalized festive costume. once they’ve taken position, the music for the first song begins. of course, there’s proper choreography to go right along with it, and although they may not be a full group, it’s a solid performance!

when the crowd has died down from their cheering after their final pose, the lights turn to them. ]

Hello everyone! We’re Aqours, a band of school idols from a high school known as Uranohoshi Girls High! It’s far, far away, but we’re still proud to represent our wonderful school. Sadly, there are only four out of nine of us here tonight, but… we’ll do our best, okay? Hanamaru-chan, Yoshiko-chan, You-chan, Mari-chan, and Kanan-chan… they’re all here with us in spirit. With that, let us introduce ourselves!

Good evening! My name is Riko Sakurauchi and I’m a second year student at Uranohoshi Girls High and a member of a school idol group Aqours. Thank you so much for coming and please enjoy the show!

G-G-Good evening! I-I’m Ruby Kurosawa, a first year at Uranohoshi Girls High... Um… I-I really hope you like the outfits I made for us today. I worked really hard on them... And because you came to support us here, I’ll do my Rubesty for you, too! Ehehe...

Good evening, everyone! Thank you for joining us tonight. I am Dia Kurosawa, a third year and the student council president at Uranohoshi Girls High. Though we are not able to be with our full group tonight, we appreciate your support!

Is everyone having a good evening? This is Chika Takami here, resident school idol, leader of Aqours and second year at Uranohoshi Girls High! We’re here to give you a great show tonight, so sing along with us, will you? Even if you don’t know the words, everyone can join in! This is a time to put all your worries behind you and have fun!

[ the next two songs serve as a calming scene and a finale respectively, with a proper goodbye and thank you to the audience between them. it’s a little short as far as lives go, but there’s a parting promise to have more fun on stage in the future.

[ Upon hearing that Cheria was listening to them, Riko's smile grows wider. She still finds performing a bit embarrassing, but it mostly makes her happy that someone enjoyed it. ]

R-Really? Thank you! Thank you so much! [ She bows in front of her a few times, making sure that she won't drop the glowsticks on accident. ] Please continue to give us your support!! Ah...

[ She overdid it a little, didn't she. ]

Sorry, I'm just glad that you enjoyed it. We'll be definitely doing it again! And it was the first concert you've been to as well...

Oh, you're right. I didn't even think of that. [Even more of a reason to pick everything up! Now she's definitely glad to have helped out. She would hate to never see them perform again. Not only was it a wonderful show up it really looked like they were enjoying themselves.

She watches Riko's nervous fumbling and thank yous and laughs lightly.] Of course. I'd absolutely love to attend more of them. Going up on stage like that is really incredible. I'd never be able to do something like that. [She sort of did, once... but we don't talk about that.......]

Any idea when the next one will be? I'd be happy to help clean up again afterwards if you need the extra hands. [After they worked so hard to set it up and perform she feels kind of bad they are cleaning it all up too.]

[ Riko doesn't know the story, but she can't simply ignore her words. ]

Don't say it like that. I mean...At first, I didn't think I'm suited to be a school idol either. [ She shifts her gaze to now empty scene and smiles softly. ] I didn't believe I could do this kind of thing.

[ Being asked about the next live performance, Riko blinks. Even though it has just ended, she's asking about another one? This is...and she's even offering to help out... ]

I don't know yet, but it's on us to keep the place clean afterward. I just want you to come and have fun! I appreciate the offer, I really do. What's your name?

[School idol... Is that what they call their group or something? The words aren't familiar but she's well aware by now that most of those like her come from different places.]

Really? I'd never be able to tell. You looked so natural up there. [Flawless singing and dancing... not to mention that charisma! All of them had it in spades.]

Oh, I'm so sorry. How rude of me. My name is Cheria. You are? [Now that she thinks about it maybe she was jumping the gun too much to ask about another performance.]

R-Really? No way...

[ She'd go on and tell Cheria that it's thanks to Chika being here, but instead she just blushes. ]

I only did piano competitions before joining the group, but I never was good with public performances to begin with.

[ Ah, she's talking too much. ]

I'm Riko. Nice to meet you, Cheria-san.

Piano too? That's amazing! [She's so modest but really it's quite impressive! Riko has so many talents. It's not wonder she's such a good performer.]

Well I guess you've come a long way since then. You guys must have had a lot of practice back home. [They looked like such professionals already.]

Likewise, Riko. Please make sure to let me know if you guys ever do another show sometime, okay?

We did practice a lot, yes...but to be honest, our group is bigger. We're missing a few members.

[ They've mentioned it during the live—it felt like it was necessary. Performing without them didn't feel right, but not performing at all was just as bad. ]

Of course! Is it fine to use the... [ There's no one around, but she'll lean in closer nevertheless and whisper to Cheria. ] The telepathy network?

[ She's been startled by letters appearing in front of her or the voices in her head countless times already, so she figures it's better to make sure. ]

It must be difficult to be separated like this but I'm sure they would be really happy you guys continue to perform here. [She's relatively lucky to have Asbel and Sophie here but... even so she worries for the others. Hubert, Malik and Pascal are still back home. Presumably they're safer, but... it doesn't make it easier that they aren't here.

Oh... right, that thing. She's honestly still getting use to its existence. She nods.] Yes, of course. I... suppose I need to keep practicing with it anyway. [She's better at it now, at least, but... still.....]
