it's a piece of cake to bake a pretty cake
Who: Velvet Crowe & Waver Velvet (aka The Victim)
Where: Floor 6, Room 1 of the apartment building
When: Day 178-ish
Open/Closed: Closed
[The kitchenette doesn't offer much counter space, but it shouldn't be an issue; Velvet has cooked with much worse conditions to contend with. She has most of the dry ingredients out and ready, along with the butter, which has been softening outside of the fridge. The oven is in the process of preheating, and Velvet has a nice shiny pan for them to use. It's all arranged rather neatly.
There's nothing left to prepare, so Velvet folds her arms and waits for The Victim to arrive. It ought to be an entertaining, and perhaps messy, afternoon.]

… Masochist.

[yes he is.]
It's like...a regular pattern of conversation. Reliable.
no subject
[Her analogies are top tier.]

[Waver glares, dips his finger in the frosting, and tries to flick it across at her!]
no subject
Don't act like a three-year-old.
no subject
[Whatever. He's gonna just start moving the frosting onto the cake now.]
no subject
It must be tiring for you, taking everything so personally.
no subject
[He does, who the fuck is he kidding?]
People just make fun of me a lot.
no subject
["Try to."]
no subject
[Waver no.]
no subject
[Honestly, challenging her isn't a bad route to go.]

Besides, you're the one that ends up befitting either way.

*benefiting...... sigh
I accept. The same condition will apply to me.
I'll be expecting a variety of meals, Waver.
It's okey.
[Waver extends his hand immediately.]
We shake like gentlemen.
no subject
Fine, but I'm not a gentleman.
[Gentle or a man.]
no subject
[Waver grins, a little too competitive.]
But first, let's finish this cake.
no subject
The rest of the preparation is on you. I'm going to start cleaning up.

[In the end, it translates to a cake with a layer of frosting that is almost too precise. Waver is someone whose magic demands attention to details, after all, so it only makes sense that the work is carried out in such a way.
But it also means he's not inclined to announce that he's done. He just walks over, grabbing a towel, and he looks for dishes to dry.]

Thanks.
[She's pretty much scrubbed and rinsed everything.]
So, now are you chomping at the bit to try baking something more elaborate? Thanks to my sister, I can make the best quiche you'll ever taste.
no subject
If that's the case, we ought to get going now.
no subject
I didn't mean now. Go on and get the witch her cake.
no subject
[Wait.]
Crap, do you have a cake box or something for this thing?
no subject
… I didn't think about that. Damn.
