[CLOSED] HYVÄÄ SYNTYMÄPÄIVÄÄ!!
Who: Lalli, Emil, Akira, Dirk, Jude, Ruby, whoever they want to bring, and Lisko!!!
Where: The garden on the recreation floor of the Shehui apartment building everyone’s in.
When: Dec 2nd OOC
Open/Closed: Closed to invited guests
( Hello, beloved and invited guest! Actually, you likely aren’t beloved and maybe aren’t even directly invited. Anyway! Welcome to the birthday party of the age: Lalli Saku Hotakainen who maybe possibly turned 20 sometime...now...soon? Yeah.
His birthday party reflects how unsure the party planner is of the recipient’s actual birthdate. Some parts of the party have obviously been thought out — for instance, there are three birthday cakes (1, 2, 3) and several gifts already present when you arrive. The chairs and decorations, however, are somewhat mismatched and novice in presentation. You might have enough seats for yourself and your guest, and you may or may not get tangled in some haphazard streamers that are lackadaisically slung in trees. It’s a toss up. At least there are ample plates and about five meat and vegetable snack trays.
It’s a very obviously non-traditional festivity. Also there’s a big lizard there. Have fun. )

That's so fast? [ehhmm...] They won't...be that weird headache stuff, right?
no subject
[He doesn't comment on speed because. Sleep is for the weak.]
no subject
[You can never be sure, okay. Also how dare you squander sleep... Appreciate that shit while you can, dude.]
Um... [Ummmm.] I don't really know what I'm supposed to do, now. There's cake?
[do you want cake??]
no subject
Do you, uh, want me to talk about the present at all?
[He doesn't know if Lalli actually knows how it works.]
no subject
Okay.
[And he...hands it back...he's a loser, a lost loser.]

[He points to the power cord.] This can run out of power eventually. You'll know from the little energy bar. [Turns it on, shows that!] When the bar gets low, you can plug it into the charger, which you can plug into an outlet on the wall. I can show you an outlet later. Back at the Hub, we don't have outlets yet, so I also gave you a generator [points!]. When you can't get a power source, you can plug the generator in and rotate it manually. This will take longer, and you might have to put in some breaks to get it finished, but it will charge it up. Hopefully we can work on getting power back at the Hub so this won't be an issue indefinitely, but we don't know how much electricity future worlds will have.

If it's like Emil's slate thing, I can just use Lisko to charge it...
[At the sound of their name, a chubby yellow lizard bounds over, then pushes themself up on their hind legs so they can more easily reach up to Lalli and this new person. Er, maybe not reaching... Lisko seems pretty set on gently slapping Lalli's leg and saying Lala!]
no subject
[Shit they're cute. And yet Dirk lives in terror of hurting any young thing, so he sorts of takes a careful step back. WHAT IF HE ACCIDENTALLY SCARS THEM FOR LIFE. He does not trust himself near any kind of children.]
It's like Emil's tablet, yes. Lisko should be able to handle it easy.
no subject
...They probably won't zap you. They stopped doing that all the time.

Lisko whips their head around to watch Dirk with bright, curious, unblinking eyes before letting loose a Fuck! Fffffuck! They go ahead and add a few harder slaps to Lalli's leg, too.]
...That was their first word. We just got it to stop...
[Lisko's happy, though. Lala! Fuck!]
no subject
I'll go now sorry.
[HE ACTUALLY WILL LEAVE, BECAUSE HE IS A MAN WHO IS TOXIC TO ALL THOSE AROUND HIM
HE MADE LISKO SAY FUCK!]
no subject
Belatedly, but before Dirk can make a true escape, Lalli drags the lizard baby over to him again.]
You have to teach them a new, good word. It's the rule.
[Is it really? He'll never say.]
no subject
There is no ethical consumption under capitalism.
[That is not a word.]
no subject
no subject
No ethical consumption.
[Every child needs to know this.]
no subject
No! No esskal.
They did it.]
What does that even mean?
no subject
So. No ethical consumption under capitalism. Good job, Lisko.
no subject
[The parts he gets the gist of, that sounds right? Maybe? Lisko's tail wags very seriously. No esskal sssssumshun. Sssumshun!]
no subject
[Dirk gives Lisko a nod. DOING GOOD PAL.]
No ethical consumption.
[He's Helping.]
no subject
[He gets so panicky about their child, it's sweet.
Em! happily chirps Lisko, after being reminded of Day Dad's existence, then continues with their no esskal ssssumshun. Seems to make everyone proud of them. Though they're beginning to wonder just when they get their reward for this. Maybe Night Dad and the Shiny Eye forgot?
Here, they'll open their mouth, wide and expectant. Food, please!! They said the thing!]
no subject
[He pauses. He looks at Lisko.]
Are they trying to tell us something.
no subject
[Like, Lalli doesn't condone swearing, or anything.]
...Oh. Umm... [Let him just jog over to the table and literally take a handful of one of the cakes. A big ol' glob. It's messy af.
Now he's trying to hand it to Dirk.] Here. It's for learning.
[Very excited no esskal ssssssumshun!! now.]
no subject
Dirk 'two hour shower' Strider stares at that hand a moment. Then, slow, as if in horror of what he must do and yet unable to avoid the crash, he takes it in hand. His jaw is set. Solemnly, he meets Lisko's eyes.]
There is no ethical consumption. Not even this.
[And he holds the cake hand out to Lisko.]
