[Copper, lizards, and vines - oh my! With the recent installation of 9S and co.'s scanning equipment and the also recent, significantly wetter rainstorms there's quite a lot to check out on the island right now. Plus, the monitor robot still needs a name. You're not going to leave them nameless forever, are you?

Too bad Genette's put out word that everyone's about to be moving location soon. That means these are the last days the coven has for a little while to get everything in order, whether it's to take things to the next destination or to leave them behind. Get your bags packed and your huts cleaned, everyone!]

[ She noticed his presence, but doesn't pay him any mind until he stops. Maybe he wants some. She wouldn't be opposed to that if he has an offer. Or just keeping her company. ]

[ That, at least, isn't an unknown to him. Even if he's no mage or god or demon by far—he's been around magic his entire life. ]

[ It's more or less his job to do things for people, after all, so he's ...pausing, considering the job at hand.

Haha, at hand. Since he's missing a hand, this is going to be... strange. ]

[ She goes back to working. When she concentrates it turns out quite well. But she's kind of running low on material. When she glances over, it's then that she notices. ]

[ He's lifting it with a half smile. ]

I lost it a decade ago. I had something of a replacement until my arrival, but it didn't seem to make the trip.

Really? I wonder why. I came here with everything I had on me.

[ It wasn't much but she isn't missing anything that essential. ]

I'm not so sure myself. But it's alright, I've managed fine without it.

[ He's indicating what she's doing with his good hand. ]

Perhaps I should look into getting a replacement.

[ She looks to where he's gesturing. Of course. ]

You mean like one made of metal? That would be perfect. You could use it as a weapon.

Functionality is more important to me, as I prefer to wield a sword.

But as long as it's free of hidden bombs I should not be picky.

[ Bombs were not a thing that had occurred to her. That has her a little concerned. But her attention is mostly elsewhere. ]

I might be able to help. Would you teach me to wield a sword?

You... wish to pick up swordplay?

[ A little surprised, and he's scratching the back of his head. ]

I've never taught anyone from the beginning, but I am experienced with sparring and exercises. I may be able to help you with this.

I don't have access to the kind of weapons I used back home and I think it would complement my ability.

[ She realizes that she needs a lot of help. There's only so much she can do on her own. ]

[ He wants to ask what kind of weapons, but doesn't. Instead, he just straightens up and nods to her. ]

I can be ready whenever you'll have me.

[ She thought it might be worth asking and she's glad she did. It would be a good thing for her not only to learn a new skill but also to make friends. ]
