[HUB ISLAND | MANSION CLEANING]
Who: Coven members
Where: The Hub Island (the mansion, beach huts, etc)
When: Day 83
Open/Closed: Open to All

Not much has changed about the Hub Island since the first coven members ended up here, but there is an obvious unkemptness that's crept over the existing structures. Rains and winds have come and gone, flora and fauna have taken over some of the mansion and a few windows are broken. In short, despite activity levels being low, a lot needs to be done. First on the agenda is getting the mansion in working order -- there's also an incentive from Brie who doesn't want to do literally everything on her own. Helping with this task AND unloading the caravan means you get a boar roasted in your honor. Well, everyone gets one single boar roasted in their honor, but that's better than starving, right?

...I guess it depends on where you're from. In my world, spirits are bad -- at least the ones I know of seem to be. I don't pretend to understand it all, but they aren't welcoming; I can say that much!
( Emil's belief in anything spuernatural is very burgeoning, he's getting there. )

[ for some reason, jude smiles. ]
I wish I could show you sometime. Show you how harmless they are back in Rieze Maxia.

...Actually, Emil is still passionate about Sweden, and he wishes he could share that passion with everyone. But his world is actually horrible. He didn't even know until he'd been somewhere else. )
I don't think you'd like my world. It is. Incredibly different, I mean.

If you don't have immunity to the rash illness that killed everyone a hundred or so years ago, you're at risk to be infected...and it turns you into something horrifying. Trolls and the like.
There are only select cities that are truly safe, since even if you're not immune you can still be killed by a troll or giant.
( It used to be the kind of information he knew but didn't really internalize -- he'd always been safe with no fear in his life. It hasn't been until recently and a few choice events that the true weight of his world has sunk in. )

[ jude... doesn't quite know how to respond to this information. it's a lot to take in; a lot to process all at once. but it must be much harder for emil. ]
That's... I'm sorry. Maybe I shouldn't have pried so much. I can't imagine this is a particularly easy thing to discuss.

I love where I'm from, but it seems like for others it's a hard sell. Rightfully so, in a lot of ways. It also depends on where you live -- my hometown, for instance, is 100% safe and contamination rates have been next to nothing for years. But once you venture out into contaminated areas, it's more dangerous.
I'm immune anyway, so things like that aren't such a big concern to me. It's more an issue of something trying to kill you, but I'm in the military so I'm equipped to handle that -- err, most things, anyway.
