[It's about noon on the island, based on the position of the sun. The newbies have had a few days to settle in, but that doesn't mean they've fully mastered their newfound abilities.

As much stock as Genette puts into telepathy, Brie is more concerned about their other newfound gifts. She's aggressively tried to wrangle as many newbies as possible onto the sandy shores of the beachfront area for some magic practice.

She's got a list of everyone's magic -- only a few vague notes, limitations are for you to discover -- and she's handing out missions for magic training. If you want to participate? Feel free. If you don't? Suit yourself.

But understanding your magic isn't just an activity that benefits the group. Learning your magic's abilities may be what stands between you and survival, which is something she makes perfectly clear.]

Well...It's called "soul dives" so I'm assuming it is what it sounds like. I need to go into someone's soul with one other person. If it's not too weird, do you mind checking out a soul with me?

I have no idea how a soul dive works, but if you think it will work, sure! But uh. How do you get back out of someone's soul?

[Look this probably isn't the weirdest thing he's done, but he's curious.]

Yeah, I guess that would make sense. Okay, I'm in! Do you have an idea whose soul you're diving into? Should I come find you guys?

I was going to ask my friend Mikleo if he wouldn't mind people going into his soul. --Oh, I'm by the bright blue hut closest to the mansion though. We can figure out details if you want to stop by.

I'm already on my way. I mean. I am now that you've said that, but you know what I mean.

[And away he goes.]

As long as Mikleo's fine with being a heart hotel, I guess that makes sense. It's better to have someone who you know, too. I still think the different powers they gave us are a weird mix.

[He's mostly talking as he approaches, but Sorey can probably see him approaching. He apparently wasn't too far off.]

I think I would have preferred something different, but at the same time I'd like to see what I can do before making a final call. Who knows, maybe it can help.

[Sorey is waiting patiently by the hut, only looking a little out of sorts. he had plenty of time to settle his thoughts before asking Mikleo to help, and he waves John over once he spots him]

[Once he spots Sorey he picks up to a jog, approaching the other boy with a bright grin and eager to get started.]
