[It's about noon on the island, based on the position of the sun. The newbies have had a few days to settle in, but that doesn't mean they've fully mastered their newfound abilities.

As much stock as Genette puts into telepathy, Brie is more concerned about their other newfound gifts. She's aggressively tried to wrangle as many newbies as possible onto the sandy shores of the beachfront area for some magic practice.

She's got a list of everyone's magic -- only a few vague notes, limitations are for you to discover -- and she's handing out missions for magic training. If you want to participate? Feel free. If you don't? Suit yourself.

But understanding your magic isn't just an activity that benefits the group. Learning your magic's abilities may be what stands between you and survival, which is something she makes perfectly clear.]

Um, hm, um... [Maybe he can use his magic somehow. What can he increase the probability of? There are probably a lot of ways to fix this but he goes for a pretty simple route.] Um, check behind the tree? There might be a first aid kit of some sort there...

[AND THERE IT IS. A first aid kit when Chiaki looks!! Though he hasn't quite yet opened it...]

[Jake's relieved. It worked! Mostly. The first aid kit does have a few things they need in it but it also has a bunch of scented banana keychains because. Why not.]

Ahh, well, it's more like... luck? Sort of... Well, uh, I can explain in a second after we get your face patched up.

Chiaki stops to pick one out even as he opens it, laughing in his amusement...]

Ah? Will you stay to help? Thank you! I don't particularly want to bother you with the task since I'm used to doing it on my own... but I appreciate the company!

[He smiles.] I don't mind. I'm used to fixing up my own wounds, too.

[Chiaki blinks, tilting his head at that even as he starts on patching himself up - his movements are just as confident as expected from a stuntman.]

Do you do dangerous acts as well, friend...?

[potentite]

[That's a way of putting it.] Kind of? I grew up all on my lonesome so I had to pick up basic care here and there.

Oh no, it's fine! I just lived on an island by myself! Um, my grandma moved us out there when I was a babe and after she died, I just... well! Didn't have anywhere else to go?
