[OPENING] magical training log
Who: Brie, whichever newbies want to show up.
Where: The beach.

Open/Closed: OTA
Where: The beach.
When: Day 4
Open/Closed: OTA
[It's about noon on the island, based on the position of the sun. The newbies have had a few days to settle in, but that doesn't mean they've fully mastered their newfound abilities.
As much stock as Genette puts into telepathy, Brie is more concerned about their other newfound gifts. She's aggressively tried to wrangle as many newbies as possible onto the sandy shores of the beachfront area for some magic practice.
She's got a list of everyone's magic -- only a few vague notes, limitations are for you to discover -- and she's handing out missions for magic training. If you want to participate? Feel free. If you don't? Suit yourself.
But understanding your magic isn't just an activity that benefits the group. Learning your magic's abilities may be what stands between you and survival, which is something she makes perfectly clear.]

NPC ; BRIE
That was the plan, but it's almost instinctive for Brie to toss herself into the fray. If she happens upon a newbie in particular need of help, she may offer to straighten them out. She's also not opposed to helping you complete your mission, as long as it gets you to practice your magic.]

[Someone looks like he has a lot of emotions about this, in particular.]
no subject
[Anything's possible, m'dude.]
no subject
[Augh, no, you're being too reasonable about this; he can't argue. He makes a frustrated noise instead.]
no subject
[SHE'S NOT USED TO PEOPLE AVOIDING BEING COMBATIVE.]
no subject
[I don't know, man, he definitely sounds like he has indigestion.]
no subject
[SOMEONE'S JUST EXCITED TO SEE HER - and he waves excitedly?!]
How are you? Is the supervising going well? Do you need water?
[where do you plan on finding water, chiaki]
no subject
I'm fine. Focus on learning how to control and use your magic, not me. [Like dang, she's got legs, she can get her own water.]
no subject
Understood!! [and he gives an automatic two-fingered salute!!] Then may I ask if you have any advice? During times like this, I'm sure you have much more wisdom than the rest of us...!
no subject
You make shit blow up or something, right?
no subject
Ah - not quite! [ . . . well - ] I don't think so, anyway...?
Mm, from what I've gathered, I can increase the strength of what I touch? I think...? Or unlock the hidden depths of its potential!
[no that's
it's the first one, he's just trying to be dramatic]
no subject
it loos almost competently drawn to life, for a wonder. ]
I think I promised you these?
no subject
Give 'em. [Brie snatches those out of his hand with lightning speed, popping the top open with a quick motion.] On a scale of one to ten, how severely is my mind about to be blown?
no subject
[ SHE WAS A CUNNING MASTERMIND ]
no subject
Hmm. Hmmmmmmmm.]
I like that it's twangy but also refreshing. I definitely want to eat more than one after eating this one, so it's got that going for it.
Yeah, I'd say tens across the board.
no subject
[ he grins. ]
no subject
Brie. You're Brie, right?
[He has about a zillion questions, but perhaps two really pressing ones.]
