That would probably explain why they swapped our powers out, too. If it really is a useful thing, they would probably want to make sure they would not be overpowered by anything we can do. I know what they gave me and my friends isn't even close to being as powerful as what we are used to.

They could have just asked though. I am sure there are people who would have said yes to helping out.
