[and here we are: the designated meeting spot and perfectly on time. flynn comes to a stop. his new sword, one courtesy of 9s, sits at his side (the palai ended up kindly providing him with a make-shift sheath, which is little more than a quickly stitched up cloth but it works well enough). considering the nature of their chat today, bringing it felt a good idea.

providing the palai with proper weapons and combat training is a fantastic idea. riku coming up with it and potentially putting things together to make it happen could end up saving a good deal of lives in the long run. naturally, flynn is more than willing to help however he can. it's been a few weeks so he's finally grown accustomed enough to the situation to do something more than just float around. preparing people for future combat is a good something more.

first thing first though: waiting for the others ariive.]

[ camilla was actually looking forward to the meeting. to her, at least it signified something getting done, a helpful immediate response in preparation for the shittiest of the shitty possibilities. after all, the only way to guarantee an enemy has no chance at seizing a loved one from you is to make sure they're inflicted with a mild case of death.

a necessary evil, and while camilla would normally decline any and all requests to help organize a military in any way, she too found herself with not only a lot of spare time on her hands, but the knowledge and wisdom necessary to pull the task together.

as long as it isn't a high-ranking position with too much responsibility, she won't mind pitching in when she can. not terribly.

that's something she reminds herself when she finally sidles into view. sneaking up to give her victim a playful fright was tempting, but camilla saw the sword; she knew better than to try such a thing with a knight. ]

[BUT NOT AS LONG AS RIKU AND HIS MUN HAVE KEPT EVERYONE WAITING.

Riku gives the other two ample time to make it to their meeting spot before making an appearance himself. Largely in part because he wants to get a look at them before making an official introductions. Camilla he had met in passing after arriving in this world, but it had been too brief a meeting to know what it is she's capable of.

Flynn, though, is a new face to him. But it's clear enough where his abilities lay judging from the sword at his side. Similarly, Riku carries a sword as well in a makeshift sheath that he wears cross-body, the hilt jutting into view just over his shoulder.

He hadn't been lying when he'd told 9S that he didn't mind taking on the leadership role, but it had been a relief to know that there were those willing to help him with the planning. People who, presumably, care as much as him about rectifying the defenselessness of the Palai.]

You're both right on time. [His gaze passes from one to the other.] Camilla and Flynn, right? I'm Riku.

footsteps catch his attention seconds and he turns toward them moments before camilla herself speaks. ah, the first person of their little group is here.

he offers her a warm smile. right as flynn opens his mouth to respond, riku joins on in. member number three. that makes all of them. his own attention instantly gets drawn to the blade on riku's back. so two swordsmen and one unknown combat style. how skilled are the two of them? flynn's admittedly curious but figuring out their strength can wait for a later time.]

A pleasure to meet you both.

[his gaze shifts between them both while saying that. always ultra polite.]
