How did you get into this building? This apartment room? What the fuck is going on? Let's refer back to this page for a semi in-depth, wow so detailed, explanation of your current situation. You'll also have a letter slipped under your door with some explanation about your whole coven situation, as well as info that explains you have magic now! And yet what kind of magic is conveniently left out. Are you up to speed? Great. Now, here's the question of the hour: what are you going to do about all this? A ▢ If you're the sensible sort and want to explore your new digs before slinking around Shehui, you're in luck! You've got easy access to your apartment, and it's luckily not on lockdown right now. Feel free to check out your room, raid the fridge -- oh, and saying hello to your roommates should also be on your to-do list. B ▢ Let's say that hanging out with these people is a little overwhelming...that's fine! There are plenty of things to do in the apartment building without interacting with roomies! There are vending machines to prop up, a leisure floor that contains a totally vacant air hockey table and a nice garden to relax in. C ▢ But ah, there's also venturing outside! Out front is the job board, which is a nice place to hit up if you're looking to add to your currently fat but depleting credit account. The problem is that the jobs are currently disappearing quickly, and those around you aren't giving you such nice looks. This apartment building is a known problem area at this point, and your signet doesn't do anything to settle their fears.

D ▢ With new year's week coming to an end, the residents of Shehui are feeling more celebratory than somber now. A lot of businesses are closed in order to enjoy themselves and ring in the new year the right way. A lot of restaurants and bars are currently offering specials, from free drinks to cheap food in order to pull in the holiday crowd. If you're looking to meet people and socialize in Shehui, this is the best way to do it. E ▢ Also because it's the post holiday season, stores are trying to push out the rest of their overstock merch. One item of note that's being peddled quite often is a cell phone. From tiny flip phones to the latest Orange product, cellphones are a necessity in this modern society. Get yours right now and begin texting right away! There are a few social apps that are installed, so you might be lucky enough to connect with another coven member! They also have Redmolar capability, which will automatically allow you to text those with phones in the area. Maybe send some mysterious stranger texts? F ▢ While you're hustling around Shehui, you may realize that the telepathic messages get stronger -- perhaps the new coven members are near? In general, you may be subject to telepathic messages about current Shehui goings on, random thoughts or requests to meet up at so-and-so location. A.K.A. let's utilize that telepathy...it may not last forever! G ▢ Because the week of remembrance is still going on, flowers are littering the streets, though most of them are dead. Bunches of flowers are being sold, and flower fortunes are a popular activity during this part of the holiday. There are fortune tellers on the street who will give you your flower of the year, but it's more fun to have them read with one another! There are digital cards that you can buy that will allow you to read fortunes on the go -- simply tap the screen of the card and your flower will be decided. Not happy with your choice? Too bad! It won't randomize to something different, no matter how hard you try. H ▢ While a lot of Shehui citizens are trying to avoid the coven members like the plague, a small alien child isn't so much concerned with who helps her, just as long as someone does. She accidentally left her house's door open and her five new kittens are suddenly missing! Where are they? Who knows! But she'd certainly like some help looking for them. I ▢ As the day winds down, snow falls on Shehui for the last time this season. The government is getting rid of their supplies that create the festive weather. This is old hat for older coven members, but for newbies? You better enjoy the snow while you can. After an hour or so, it piles up enough to truly be utilized for merriment...this also means that it's pretty easy to get snowed in if you happen to be in a building during the snow fall, which also creates some interactive opportunities. J ▢ Wildcard! How will your character interact with this new and unusual world?

[ Despite her words however, she's perfectly calm and composed. Perfectly polite and professional. ]

[ Just a note. She nods to herself. ]

[Apollo pauses, clearing his throat awkwardly as he looks over to her. Whoops. She seemed awfully serious, and Apollo's already a little worried that he might've annoyed her somehow.]

S-Sorry, I didn't see you there. I didn't mean you! I meant... fate? Life? Murphy's Law? Take your pick.

[ The man's already noticeably on edge. Is it her behavior? Her words? Her appearance (decked out in a black longcoat as she may be)? Or all of those, combined with the whole situation? No matter. She gives him a smile, to try to put him more at ease. They're all coven members, here. ]

You're anxious, aren't you? That's natural.

Anxious is a bit of an understatement. But I'm fine! ... I'll be fine.

[At least, he hopes so. Saying his mantra helps a little to calm him down, and... if she was smiling, she couldn't be all that annoyed.]

But you said that like you see this a lot. Does... does this happen to a lot of people?

[ Having him calm down a little is good. She looks at him for a few moments, confirming that his pulse has slowed a bit. ]

Somewhat. It's a surprising situation to be thrown into, I know.

[ For most normal people. ]

But from what I know, we all started in a similar situation, myself included. So know that you are not alone.

[ Again, they're all coven members, here. Lots of differences, but they share the same circumstances while they're all here, so there's no reason not to cooperate, as far as she's concerned. She places a hand near the base of her neck, where her own signet is visibly resting, in front of where her heart is on the inside. ]

[That's the part that didn't make it too comforting, even if he did appreciate being told. Noting the way she's touching the base of her neck, Apollo manages a small, strained smile.]

To be honest, it's a little terrifying that something could just go and scoop up so many different people. Why are we even here?

[ It's a little terrifying indeed, but her life is a cavalcade of weird things happening, so she simply takes it in stride and tries to do what she can for everyone, including those she knows who might not be as used to supernatural shenanigans as she is. She fixes up her tie a bit, covering the signet once more. ]

We are traverse various worlds in order to collect enough energy to awaken the witch's magical abilities, which can send us home...or so I'm told.

[ On one hand, she wants to help people. On the other, it wouldn't be the first time she was used for less benevolent plots. ]

[That news does perk Apollo up a bit. Okay, it's not great news, but having any way at all to return home was far better than the alternative.]

I get the feeling you're not talking about just handing over batteries. Do you know how collecting energy works? Or what it looks like? If that's what it takes to get us home, I'll do it. Or uh, try to do it.

[ She keeps her hand on her chest, and then hangs her head, looking to the side in slight shame. If it were as simple as handing over batteries, she would've done it already. ]

I'm...afraid I don't. I have only been here for approximately a month. My investigations have not yielded any results in that particular regard.

[ She can admire his persistence, though. ]

Perhaps it can be observed when we traverse to another world.

[ Although she isn't sure about that, either. ]

[Apollo watches her for a moment, then nods,]

That's okay. Maybe we can find something out about it if we ask around. It sounds like the sort of thing everyone would be interested in figuring out, so there must be someone here with that information.

You're right. There are members who have been here for far longer than I...surely they must know something.

[ Before they cooperate on that particular venture, however, they're missing one thing. ]

Oh, I almost forgot. [ It slipped her mind, sue her. ] I am Aigis.

Huh, that's an interesting name.

[He then offers her a small smile,] Well, I'm Apollo. Apollo Justice. Do you have any idea who would be a good person to ask about it...?

[ Apollo is a nice name, she thinks. The god of the sun in the exact realm of mythology near and dear to her heart, literally. And as strange as her own name might sound to him, the ones she's about to give might sound even stranger. ]

Hm...I think it might be worth asking 2B and 9S about these sorts of things. They've been here longer than I, though I don't how for how long.

[Apollo fishes a small notebook out of his pocket as she's talking, unclipping the attached pen to write that down. ... But once he does have it down, he pauses, giving her a doubtful look.]

Wait, are these apartment numbers? I don't mind knocking on doors, but if they want to stay anonymous, that's something I'll need to know.

Hm? No they're not. Those are their designations. 2B asked me to call her as such.

[ Designations. Like they're some sort of soldiers or something...which isn't too far from the truth anyway. She calmly states this as if there's nothing out of the ordinary with what she said. Which, to be fair, is true enough for the exact reason she's hiding underneath her black longcoat. ]

Designations? Uh, alright. If that's what they want to be called, I can't argue.

[Apollo shrugs slightly, writing some additional notes in while he has that notepad out. Might as well.]

[ She nods in acknowledgement. It's good he took that explanation rather well. ]

I have yet to meet 9S, but 2B is a young woman with bobbed white hair and a black blindfold.

[ A physical description, in case he needs or wants it. Better to have more details than less, right? ]

Blindfold? [he mutters, more out of surprise than it being a real question. He jots that description down anyway, before slipping the notepad and pen back in his pocket.]
