How did you get into this building? This apartment room? What the fuck is going on? Let's refer back to this page for a semi in-depth, wow so detailed, explanation of your current situation. You'll also have a letter slipped under your door with some explanation about your whole coven situation, as well as info that explains you have magic now! And yet what kind of magic is conveniently left out. Are you up to speed? Great. Now, here's the question of the hour: what are you going to do about all this? A ▢ If you're the sensible sort and want to explore your new digs before slinking around Shehui, you're in luck! You've got easy access to your apartment, and it's luckily not on lockdown right now. Feel free to check out your room, raid the fridge -- oh, and saying hello to your roommates should also be on your to-do list. B ▢ Let's say that hanging out with these people is a little overwhelming...that's fine! There are plenty of things to do in the apartment building without interacting with roomies! There are vending machines to prop up, a leisure floor that contains a totally vacant air hockey table and a nice garden to relax in. C ▢ But ah, there's also venturing outside! Out front is the job board, which is a nice place to hit up if you're looking to add to your currently fat but depleting credit account. The problem is that the jobs are currently disappearing quickly, and those around you aren't giving you such nice looks. This apartment building is a known problem area at this point, and your signet doesn't do anything to settle their fears.

D ▢ With new year's week coming to an end, the residents of Shehui are feeling more celebratory than somber now. A lot of businesses are closed in order to enjoy themselves and ring in the new year the right way. A lot of restaurants and bars are currently offering specials, from free drinks to cheap food in order to pull in the holiday crowd. If you're looking to meet people and socialize in Shehui, this is the best way to do it. E ▢ Also because it's the post holiday season, stores are trying to push out the rest of their overstock merch. One item of note that's being peddled quite often is a cell phone. From tiny flip phones to the latest Orange product, cellphones are a necessity in this modern society. Get yours right now and begin texting right away! There are a few social apps that are installed, so you might be lucky enough to connect with another coven member! They also have Redmolar capability, which will automatically allow you to text those with phones in the area. Maybe send some mysterious stranger texts? F ▢ While you're hustling around Shehui, you may realize that the telepathic messages get stronger -- perhaps the new coven members are near? In general, you may be subject to telepathic messages about current Shehui goings on, random thoughts or requests to meet up at so-and-so location. A.K.A. let's utilize that telepathy...it may not last forever! G ▢ Because the week of remembrance is still going on, flowers are littering the streets, though most of them are dead. Bunches of flowers are being sold, and flower fortunes are a popular activity during this part of the holiday. There are fortune tellers on the street who will give you your flower of the year, but it's more fun to have them read with one another! There are digital cards that you can buy that will allow you to read fortunes on the go -- simply tap the screen of the card and your flower will be decided. Not happy with your choice? Too bad! It won't randomize to something different, no matter how hard you try. H ▢ While a lot of Shehui citizens are trying to avoid the coven members like the plague, a small alien child isn't so much concerned with who helps her, just as long as someone does. She accidentally left her house's door open and her five new kittens are suddenly missing! Where are they? Who knows! But she'd certainly like some help looking for them. I ▢ As the day winds down, snow falls on Shehui for the last time this season. The government is getting rid of their supplies that create the festive weather. This is old hat for older coven members, but for newbies? You better enjoy the snow while you can. After an hour or so, it piles up enough to truly be utilized for merriment...this also means that it's pretty easy to get snowed in if you happen to be in a building during the snow fall, which also creates some interactive opportunities. J ▢ Wildcard! How will your character interact with this new and unusual world?

[ He's not exactly happy about the smell of rotting flowers either, grimacing as he walks through the street during a casual outing and tries to endure the stench. ]

A cleaning crew would be better.

[ Words delivered without a beat as Noctis glances at the only other person within a few meters of him -not a familiar face at all. Probably another new recruit. He's been running into them all day, and for as much as they're not supposed to call too much attention to themselves, they've all stuck out rather prominently, even more than Noctis and his skull-emblazoned wardrobe. ]

At least we wouldn't have to do all the work ourselves.

[ He still hasn't recovered from being forced to sell mangoes not too long ago. This poor guy doesn't know what's in store for him in this place. ]

[ Julius' gaze lingers a little on Noctis' clothes. It's very modern, reminding him of a certain friend. ]

The person who placed it here is responsible for clearing up after themselves.

[ But there's nothing wrong with a cleaning crew, either. He'll hold on to what remains of the flowers. If they can't find a trash can, he could always absorb it discreetly. ]

Is there a cleaning crew here?

[armigers]

[ Well, yes, in a better world, that would be the true. In practice, not so much, but there are worse things the streets could be littered in, so he can see why no one is in a rush to clean up dead flowers. ]

Someone will probably get around to it. I've seen a couple around.

[ It's the sort of problem he expects to resolve itself eventually, like most things. Which never do, but he'll kindly ignore that premonition for the time being. ]

You're really worked about this, aren't you?

[bulletbiter]

[ Cleaning a city is different from cleaning a ruined city, that much he's aware. Still, cleanliness is important. ]

I suppose anyone would be a touch annoyed if someone else littered over the space they use.

[ But like how Noctis pointed out, it's kind of a trivial thing. Maybe it's just because flowers were involved. ]

It's not that much of an issue, I suppose.

[armigers]

[ He has a feeling it's still going to bother this guy, no matter how cool he tries to play it off now. Maybe he shouldn't have brought up the obvious. ]

No one's stopping you from cleaning it up if you really want to.

[ He's just putting that out there. It's not what he would choose personally, but you do you, man. ]

Someone might even pay you for it if they weren't currently suspicious about magic users.

[ This is what he gets for answering a random survey. He should... really not do that. ]

[ Old habits of self-responsibility die hard.

But on to the more pressing question: ]

Why are they suspicious about magic users?

[ Julius is technically not one but his ability can appear to be it to the uninitiated, which is basically everyone else ever. ]

[armigers]

Probably just freaks them out.

[ People tend to fear what's different. At least, that's the only reason he can think of. ]

They might have had a history with magic-users, but no one's brought up anything like that yet.

[ Not that he's asked either, which is probably something he should stop slacking off on. Intel gathering just hadn't been his forte in the past. ]

Just keep a low profile for now.

[bulletbiter]

[ Sound advice, though still worrying - so he'll nod. ]

So we are dealing with a situation without much information. [ Which is super annoying; even the Palai were at least friendly towards them. ] Has anyone been taken away?

[armigers]

Welcome to being kidnapped.

[ Boy, does he wish he had a better clue as to what's going on. As it is, he doesn't feel like he's any more enlightened than when he got here -probably for lack of trying but also just generally trying to deal with the psychological ramifications of being nabbed just as he was about to reach his betrothed in Altissia. ]

Someone I knew was taken... I don't know when or how, but no one can reach him anymore.

[ He'd like to think McGillis had just gone back to his world, but he still can't be sure at all. It's been gnawing at him since he found out, and he's probably not even the only one who's disappeared since they got here. ]

[bulletbiter]

[ Julius frowns on reflex - he too knows the weight of being abducted just at an important time, but also that separation from one's friends is never a good thing. ]

Some of us disappear to return to our worlds. If he hasn't been taken by the government, then that's likely where he would be. Could you reach him through the telepathic network?

[armigers]

[ Noctis shakes his head, still coming to terms with the fact that someone he started to befriend just vanished like that. It hit a sore spot after losing so many people he cared about -his entire home city, in fact. There's never enough time to really absorb the events that transpired let alone deal with it all without crumbling like he wants to. ]

Not a single reply. If Qri's behind it or the government here, no one knows.

[ All he can do is keep searching and hope that no one else vanishes like that. ]

He's the only one I'm aware of. Don't know much else.

[bulletbiter]

[ Noctis' words didn't exactly apply to him, but he can very well empathize with how he feels. There always remained the risk of death, and he knows how keenly that loss would hurt. ]

I'm sorry. [ For your loss, your worry. ]Do you... know anyone else here?

[ It's an awkward question, but better words than just leave Noctis a silence. ]

[armigers]

[ A quick nod is his reply, though he's not sure why it bothers him so much. He barely knew the guy who disappeared. It just seemed so ...sudden. Lacking in closure. Gone without a single word, and perhaps because so many other losses had compounded together before that one, he feels it so acutely.

But there are more pressing matters to discuss, veering away fast from his own personal discomfort. Might as well try and fill the guy in as best as he can. ]

A few. I came here with a friend of mine. Don't know if you know him, but he's kind of hard to miss. Blond hair-

[ He mimes the unique spiked up style before holding his hand flat before him. ]

About this tall, freckles, usually has his camera out, answers to the name Prompto?

[bulletbiter]

[ He takes a slight step back when Noctis mimes at himself, giving the youth a once-over while trying to imagine. ]

I think I might have passed him once or twice. How is he like?

[ If this young man is going to take it hard when a friend is gone, then all the more he'll be worried for him. Goodness, why are there so many youths?

Still, it seems beneficial to know more of the new coven so that he can check up on them if necessary.]

[armigers]

Kind of like a dog.

[ He means that in an endearing way but also poking fun at his friend. ]

A dog that takes a lot of pictures and doesn't know how to play fetch.

[ It would certainly be a lot easier on him if Prompto would periodically grab his shoes for him, but he'll take what he can get, he supposes. ]

He's the only one from my world, and as far as I can tell, don't know why us two were chosen.

[ Well, he knows why he himself was chosen, but Prompto doesn't deserve to be here. Neither does this guy at all from what he can tell. ]

Looks like they might just pick out whoever they feel like from different worlds.

[ That would explain why they're currently trapped here with a dragon and a bunch of teen idols. ]

[bulletbiter]

[ Julius closes his eyes, and for a moment he's reminded of someone else by that description - a person with cheerfulness and loyalty much like a puppy, a person whose good heart had ultimately been used to kill him.

Thus it puts Noctis' concern into a painfully clear perspective, at least to him. ]

It certainly seems so. However, you have a friend here. That's not so bad.

[ By working with someone you trust, it'd make the experience more bearable. ]

[armigers]

You're the only from yours?

[ Just hazarding a guess, but this guy doesn't look like he has many friends to begin with. Noctis isn't sure if he's up to volunteering for the task, but he's already become an unwitting companion by virtue of having agreed to this job to begin with, so he guesses he's somehow already committed himself to this.

Things could be worse. He doesn't seem like a bad guy. Certainly... different, but who isn't in this place? ]

Guess now you can say you know at least one other person.

[ He points to himself with vague enthusiasm. ]

[bulletbiter]

[ The gesture brings a slight smile to his own expression - a slightly awkward offer, but then again he'd do something similar in the same situation. ]

What world are you from?

[ The more people he knows, the better. From his experience, a second perspective can prevent bad things from happening. ]

[armigers]

Eos. Doubt you've heard of it.

[ And if he has, that's news to him. He hasn't exactly run into many people from his world, which makes him wonder if that technically makes him an alien. Are they all aliens to other people? Prompto is definitely an alien.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand... ]

They don't seem to be consistent about where they pluck people from. How about you?

[bulletbiter]

[ Even if they are from different worlds, they are still human in their hearts. That's what counts. ]

I come from Earth, though I have met people from different versions of Earth itself.

[ He looks down at his hands briefly, before: ]

Although if we hail from different places, there are things that unites us despite that.
