( Fake!Christmas is here...there's also a mission to get gifts for random people, which is weird, but doable. Not usually being the handicraft sort, Emil has decided to go shopping for these two strangers, as well as for his other friends and lizard child. What better way to spend the day than shopping with your friend, while you're at it? He has his own gifts to get, so let's make a not-date out of it.

He's likely told Lalli about this beforehand -- he's part of the working world, now, with a schedule that isn't so empty as his own. Lisko won't be coming since, duh, they'll be getting things for them. Emil knocks on the door to Lalli's shared apartment building solo, sans a few cloth bags on his arm. Forced ecofriendliness and what not. )

[Lalli got lucky, comparatively, since he already knows one of his gift mission people... But gifts in general were a mystery to him. He'd been planning on ignoring Sunsu altogether, just benefitting from the amount of work he was getting from it because of the deliveries, but Emil seemed to want to do it... So sure. If Emil was happy, then it would probably be the best way to spend the day.

He's munching on an apple as he pads over to the door and out, changed into some of the clothes Emil had got him for his fake birthday thing.]

( What a rude, apple goblin. Though his brain doesn't form the actual, coherent thought, Emil observes Lalli and takes note of his casual attractiveness. Hello...sir. )

It's hard to be late when I'm only a few floors below you. ( He's also an anomaly and takes next to no time to get ready, outside of stressing about how ready he may or may not be. ) I figured we could just walk around and find whatever store suits what we're looking for. I'm not entirely sure what I'll be buying, altogether.

Oh... I have no idea, either. I know where food places are? [Not much else...]

( ...Welp. Lalli, you're the scout, why don't you know this shit!! No matter, Emil will only complain when his feet get tired. )

I don't know where specific stores are...or what specific stores there are...but I know the general area. ( Since he's been shopping more than Lalli and everything. ) If we get hungry, your food locations will be useful.

( Walking fast, faces pass and they're...gift-bound. The good thing about Shehui is that because it's so densely packed and consumer focused, it's not that hard to find a place to shop, whatever you're looking for. Essentially any street can lead you to a square of shops, so that's good news. )

Do you know what you're getting for the ID people? I don't know either of them, so I'm somewhat at a loss. ( No matter what they end up getting, there's sure to be one store in this circle of businesses that'll suit their fancy. ) Or maybe Lisko would be easier to get out of the way...

I know one of mine. [He's met him, anyway.] He was the one talking to me about turtles. I thought maybe something about desserts, since he likes those, and this place won't have anything magical...

[Poor boy could really use some magic guidance, but Shehui.......!]

Lisko's getting clothes, right? And they like food. Either place should have other things we can get people.

( The turtle mystery has been solved...not that it was much of one, but it was still weird to just ask out of nowhere. Desserts are a good idea, too, so consider him pleased with this information. )

Desserts are a decent way to go. I have to pick up things for Akira, Waver, Jude... ( Ticking the names off on his fingers. He has no idea what they think of desserts, sans Jude, but that seems like a pretty safe road to go down. )

There's a pastry place here ( pointing to a bakery/chocolate factory thing off down a side road ) where we can look around. I can't imagine a person saying no to chocolate and sweets.

( A more enlightened person might say to get perishables last but he's not enlightened. )

[Suppresses the urge to roll eyes... He likes that Emil has friends, he really does!! Even if one is Jude, who is weird and rude sometimes!!!]

Lisko is going to eat it all if we get them now.

Fine, we can go there last. ( He'll eat 12 things and then not want to walk anywhere if they stop there first, anyway. ) Clothes then...

( There are a lot more clothes options to consider, which actually makes things a bit harder. What kind of clothes do you get a genderless lizard??? All of his friends are male, sans the small girl witch he has to get something for, which makes things easier. )

We can start here and see how it goes...? ( He'll swivel to the opposite direction; a large, emporium like store that appears to be something of a mini shopping mall. More options, more ground to cover but bah. That's the point of today. ) I also have to get things for you, so don't worry if I disappear for a bit later on.

[He might not be Emil, but he's still going to worry about something like that!! Never mind that as soon as he sees a stack of warm-looking sweaters, he pads over to them to immediately shove his hands on all of them to find whichever is softest.]

I'm glad I don't have to get things for that many people... It's really hard to think about what other people want.

I have to get gifts for you, too! It's not fun if you know what they are beforehand.

( Emil watches his friend with an amused look, despite his protest. Lord, you're something else Lalli...if he had a Lord, he would probably say that, anyway. They've been here two minutes and you're already impossible. At least he's easy to shop for. )

A good gift is a personal one, but it's also okay to go with something easy. I don't know what Jude really likes, so I'll get him something that everyone would like. (Gift-Giving 101. )

Pfh. Maybe for you. [Still, he'll glance over and offer a tiny smile.] Don't disappear. Just tell me when you need me to walk away, and I won't find out why.

He likes being right and good at things. [Miraculously, he kept a lot of venom out of that. He's doing his best to behave...] ...Music, maybe? He plays that game a lot.

I don't think anyone dislikes that... ( Not that he'll fight Lalli on this; Jude is an odd one even if he doesn't fully get Lalli's venom.) You can buy things in that game, can't you? I don't know how I'd do that for him.

( Emil sighs, somewhat amused but also exasperated. That damn idol game...maybe he'll avoid that gift card in order to refuse endorsing something so ghastly. )

It might be easier to just get something...winter related. A blanket or nice gloves -- there's no way that will go unappreciated.

The sweaters in question are actually really nice, and Emil thumbs through the folded stack, somewhat sloppily. )

I wonder if they'll have this in Lisko's size...

[Ooh, a mission! Once he has a solid idea of what to look for, Lalli's movements become more sure. Lisko-sized sweaters...! He'll find them or die trying.]

Good. I liked getting all that stuff, but it would be a lot, wouldn't it? Especially since you need to buy stuff for all those other people, and you don't have a job.

[He holds up a sweater... Not quite Lisko-sized, but only a few sizes bigger. GettIng there!]

Yes, a size or two smaller would be good...who knows if they have a size that will accommodate their stubby arms. ( Now he's back to another stack, looking for one for himself...a "me gift," if you will. )

[He's been thoroughly eaten by the sweater pile, so his voice is muffled to shit. Just imagine this is how he does his scouting when it comes to troll nests. Like a nasty boy.]

Why are you sneezing on money...

[People are so weird... He's only learning just now what it means to have money, and yet he still doesn't feel the need to do weird stuff like sneeze at it. Who would ever think to do that?]

( Emil casually slips a larger sized sweater over his arm, watching Lalli splash around in sweater hell. Peering over the edge, he observes this grace and beauty...10 points from him, honestly. )

How deep does this thing go...? (what sort of black hole shopping center did they choose?? )

[That's a ridiculous expression... Why would anyone ever say that or understand what that means... Emil can't even explain it! Suspicious.]

[He pops out again, though, a mess of frizzy hair, and triumphantly brandishes a Lisko-sized sweater, nice and soft.]

Got it. [Hmn...] If we're getting sweaters and coats and blankets... That's not going to be easy to carry.

That's what these are for. ( Gesturing to his bags. Emil likes to think ahead as long as it's about making his life easier. ) It'll be a snug fit, but doable.

( Thanks for going spelunking, bee tee dubs. He takes the tiny sweater, shoving it and his own sweater inside one of the felt bags. Family sweaters, check. Now to find things for other people...maybe. )

I'm sure they have baskets or something else around here if it gets too cumbersome -- do you have a good coat for when it snows, here? ( You need to be warm too, delivery boy!! )
