Insert witty subject header here.
Who: Caesar (
bubblerasco) and Okuyasu (
billionboy)
Where: Okuyasu’s beach hut
When: Around the time a bunch of sleepy mages stumble around into various beds.
Open/Closed: Closed unless you want in, in which case shoot us a message or something.
[It’s dark. He’s tired. He had spent most of the day carefully avoiding other people. There had been some magical training that had gone on, but he had demurred when asked about it, pointing out that his power was to gently glow like a lantern in the dark. And while it was important to learn how to control that (for the sake of his sleep, if nothing else, something he wasn’t telling other people: he had woken up in the middle of the night twice because he was having a bad dream about the…wind and ended up shining so brightly he couldn’t help but snap awake) it was more important for the people with more…destructive abilities. And if the destructive people were there, it was important to give them space. He could concentrate on mastering his powers later, at leisure.
That wasn’t the actual reason, of course. It was the fact that the weight of unfinished business was a crushing one that he dragged about, and so at times, when he felt restless, the only thing he could do was go…elsewhere, and by going elsewhere hope to find…something, he didn’t know what. Their missing things? A way home? And even if he found a way back, he couldn’t just go back without finding the ring first, and-
…all of this was pointless. Ignore it. It wasn’t going anywhere.
It’s dark. He’s tired. He’d gotten back from searching part of the island. He had staggered to the hut that he was starting to think of his own only to find-]
…
[…something sleeping there. He couldn’t tell what it was. (It was a tired pig. It had staggered in because the door was left ajar and made itself at home. He wasn’t going to check.) Walked back out. He glanced to his left.]
…
[That appeared to be someone staggering out of a hut and into a different one.]
…
[Something was going on.]
…
[Three huts later he found one with an Okuyasu in it, and you know what? That’s the best he’s going to do. So, he walked in like he owned the place.]
Something’s going on with the beds and I’m too tired to figure out what it is. I’m sleeping with you tonight, Okuyasu.
[Hi. He’s just going to head over to the far corner and plop into it.] If I start shining in the middle of the night just throw something at me.

[See, this is why the stoned calmness was so weird.]
What if they just wanted to ask a question? "I was looking for who took my pillow and thought you two might have an idea." Would you really punch them for that? What if I left and tried to get my things and came back?

Well... that would be ... um... yeah, I wouldn't hit someone because of those reasons.

And you wouldn't know what their reasons were until they said it - after all, for all you knew I might have came in here just to steal your bed- [Hastily added.] I didn't.
[Just in case he was like, "YOU FILTHY BED THIEF RAAAR" or something.]
